I think it's more like being "tired" of finding in-genuine love. It takes too much out of her to go through the pain of it so often and it makes her feel empty. She wants to be the moon so she can be seen by the person that is looking for her, so they can recognize her, because they feel the same way.

It was more about Bill letting go than it was about the sex scene and I also feel it was related to Alcide being in love with Sookie too. Eric WAS the moon that night.
