Nathan, you need to do all of the off-road reviews you understand the dynamics of off-road driving much better than Roman.
Nathanael Sardakowski I agree Roman doesn't know a thing about off road in and everything that spews from his mouth is about the damned Raptor.
TFL continues to be the only journalists doing real off-road testing, rather than just splashing through a puddle or two like others. Thumbs up.
I love when Nathan does off road reviews himself
Great improvement on this video. Taking someone who actually has a clue about off-roading and airing down the tires. Good job tfl
Nice to see a truck actually tested on a rough road instead of just some puddles...
Great Video Guy's! I'm loving that new Titan PRO-4X!!!
This guy should do all the off road videos from now on.
what a good looking truck
THANK YOU for airing down! 10psi is still drivable on the street for most vehicles, especially trucks which typically have 40-60psi in their tires. But it makes such a huge difference.
Even with the crappy General Tires, it is a pretty capable 4x4. Seems to have plenty of power
The trails they use now are really excellent for looking into these off-road systems. Good job guys!
+TytheBandit Thank you.
Researchers says that cliffhanger 2.0 is getting difficult day by day because our guy Andre keeps bombing the trail before he wakes up early in the morning
+vengence reicher Yes. Andre needs to stop!
The Fast Lane Truck 😁Great work guys keep it up.Best of luck for billion subscribers
Love this truck. Amazing.
Thats what I like about this channel, You guys put every truck into a test.
They could try the tundra but it would run out of gas before it got to the top
Your dumb ass know that tundra mpg is about the same as most V8 beside the Chevy weak V8 right?
Mr_ NutZ The Tundra 5.7 is a thirsty bitch. 17 MPG highway in 2017? What a joke lol
Somebody watches too much fast and furious hahahaha! there is no mountain so big that such a fuel capacity could not deal with...and please do not try and bring up something even more ridiculous like a raptor climbing mt everest for example. This isnt fairy land
Jonathan Watts they did. It didn't make it. True story.
Thank you for your comment small 14 year old boy.
can you guys do a 3 way shoot out tundra TRD, ram rebel and titan pro 4x off road, mud etc?!??
I think the Nissan is one of the few trucks that has enough clearance on the front wheels for tire chains. If so, it should beat all others in a deep snow competition. Keep up the good work I love your videos.
I have had numerous 4x4s, one of which is a Lexus LX570 and we do deicing for stores which requires lots of 4x4 action. So I’ve seen a lot, and I’m telling you the Nissan Titan 4x4 system is the best in a truck by a mile. At least full size. Frame is insanely stiff. And the thing is just smart. Made my 250 look caveman by comparison.
6:12 thats what i say to my wife
BOOM! Well done good sir.
Hassan That might have been good if you could have formed an actual sentence.......might
What a dumb azz profile picture.
😄
@John Berg agreed
This is a good looking truck. The red is even growing on me. Great review. I wish manufacturers would have level kits from factory. It's tough enough spending 40 50 60k then spending more on a level kit. Plus also Nissan needs to dump the general grabbers. I did. Replaced with open country at/2
This what we do as truck own. Buy the truck that do almost anything. Nissan TITAN is the best all around.
Nice vid ! Drag race xd gas vs halfton please and halfton vs 3.5 eco
I have gone up against 3 ecoboosts in my '09 Titan. I beat two by about half a truck and nose to nose on the other.
U really can't say that the titan is too wide for the dare side because u took the raptor there too, plus I think it's unfair because u guys tested the Tacoma with stock pressure tires but with the titan u aired down, seems unfair but good video
Manveer Singh I think the difference is they own the Raptor. They probably don't want to completely scratch up a press vehicle.
Agreed! and then there's salt in the wound "the Toyota....man didn't have enough power"... I think that's an unfair characterization considering it made it to the top, and on the dare side.
Really they should run them all on the same tires that way you are testing the truck and not the tires, but I guess that would be expensive.
Kevin Cooksey they always talk down on tundra like it's a worst truck . Truth is it's catching up on sales with ford and chevy. And I guess American folks just don't like that part . But wonder why ?
I actually think that if it would have been just Nathan and Andra the Tacoma would have done even better.
Drove on a trail similar when I was out hunting and snapped one inner tie rod and bent the other to a pretzel.
Another awesome video guys keep em coming. when will you do the mpg loop with the titan half ton?
Hellava truck. My 2013 and 2017 sv 4x4 crew cabs are great trucks off and on road use. Sounds great and rides well.
I want to take this truck camping, it seems like it would do so good on some dirt trails climbing mountains to get to hot springs hauling gear and people.
Probably the best truck on the market, nothing even close to it. sure probably better trucks for towing, or offroad. but when compared for reliability, nothing will come close. have owned two Nissan's, have had a Ford and GMC. Ford was a nightmare with wiring issues.
jetdr where the hell are you getting your information on reliability? 😂😂😂😬
The Nissan did very good up the 2.0 Cliff hanger, nice driving Nathan!
Can you please take a Ram Power Wagon up the cliff hanger?
"A lot of people don't air down". A lot of people are idiots then. Unless it's just some fire service road, two track or whatever, you're a fool not to. Why handicap the truck?
Full-sized trucks just seem to handle things better as long as they have room. Good video. I also think you should've left tires at stock pressures.
Good job Titan!
Y'all have the best reviews! With the cliffhanger 2.0 test is the best! No CUMMINS on the Titan? Watch out Toyota!
was that a Motorhead shirt? hell yeah
damn this truck sounds amazing for being stock!!
My 2013 and my 2017 stock sounds great. No need for aftermarket muffler.
I found Gold Mine Hill, but I have not idea where the Cliffhanger 2 is. It appears to be slightly higher elevation with bigger rocks. The Nissan Titan Pro 4X did a good job, I thought it was more capable than the Tacoma TRD. I liked the video a lot it had some great camera angles, it looks like a challenging trail.
Doesn't the XD have more ground clearance? Would be interessting how that one goes up the hill with the extra weight and the Diesel...
I've been wanting to see that truck do this course for a long time. Thanks for doing it. Jeep Grand Cherokee trail hawk next please. 38 degree approach angle, better do dare side.
I love those trucks are very strong good job 👍👍👍👍👍
i love your job
I’m tempted on buying a titan pro4x
Great review!
Nice video guys! Can you do the same with the F150 FX4? It would be great to see how these both compete and which one is the king of the mountain.
I would like to see a Silverado with the 5.3 tested on that course to see how it performs.
Roy Giller I would loooooooooove to take my truck up trail. If I ever go to Colorado, I'm definitely finding this and doing it. 14 Silverado, 5.3 2.5 lift and level with KO2's.
King A. Lion With the 2.5" lift and KO2 tires, that should make it up that trail with ease.
Roy Giller your funny man
The 5.3L likely doesn’t have the power to get a 1500 up that. It’s a great highway cruiser and dirt road runner, but it’s underpowered
i dont understand how the 5.3 isnt enough power.... 355 hp isnt enough in 4lo ?
This is one good looking truck. Very capable too! Good job Nissan
hell yea looking at that truck totally going to be getting one I am very impressed with Nissan
Put a tundra Trd pro please please please up that hill that would be awesome!! Love watching you guys !
david phimsipasom wouldn't make it
Roman would of pussied out as soon as he hit the truth or dare part 😂
hey guys great video and I love this course. I'm a fan of the titans. and would love to see more videos of them off road. 👍
Wish nathan was in more (truck) (offroad) driving reviews.
bought the xd cummins,
Love your vids guys!! You should try to take the new f150 2.7 up that!
The Taco made it through the Dare part no problem. This would have gotten trail-damage and most likely stuck going there.
So yea, nice choice to go through the easy route.
Frank White um go watch the video again buddy Tacoma had a lot of issues with it and you can't compare a mid size to a halfton the little Toyota had problems like the 3 wheel drive cause no front locker not enough power yea just little things lol
Great video guys. Its hard to appreciate the incline of that hill via video. Is their anyway you could show us just how steep it is? Thanks and keep up the good work.
Well done, Nathan (and Andre!). How would say this truck compares to the Ram Rebel you tested earlier? I'd LOVE to see a Mashup with the Rebel, Titan Pro 4X and the Tundra TRD! All direct competitors! Bring all 3 out here on the same day and let's see it. :) Please?!
+jedironin380 yes, that would be a great comparison! We never tested a Rebel on this Cliffhanger 2.0, but it is closely matched against the Pro-4x and the Trd Pro.
Do you get your test vehicles for just a few days? Will you be able to test a Rebel again soon?
i think mid size trucks next year will be off the charts. zr2, new ranger, better engine in the Tacoma...just have to be patient
Nathan, love it, thanks !!
If you would have aired down the Taco it would have walked right up without any issues.
I'm pretty sure an XD would give you higher clearance and one with a Cummins diesel would have more power, but they would probably be too long.
This video is awesome! Good job. Now I want that truck
Can we see these reviews with better performing tires? I get the need to test as they come from the factory, but eventually tires will need to be changed. How about selecting a test tire for all the goldmine hill and snow climb reviews, especially for You brand vs brand reviews.
Nissan made a really good truck, who knew.
I found found this truck, 2017 Pro4x Titan in blue for $34,000 12,000 miles. I have a 2007 SE with 103,000 nothing wrong with it. Runs like a champ but man sure wouldn’t mind a brand new truck but I would hate to give up on mine. I’m going bonkers yes.....no....WTF
You should take the Power Wagon or Mercedes G class up cliff hanger
Can you guys get a Land Cruiser 200 to the cliffhanger 2.0 , I would be so interested to see how it would do.
Can you's guys a TFL do a review on the 2016 or 2017 Silverado midnight edition. The one that comes with the wrangler duratac tires. I'd really like to see how that does on these off road courses
You notoriously stop in the middle of the most difficult spots of the course when you’re driving Nissan. It’s widely know that TRD and certain trims of F150 are equipped with better tires. You continue to test them head to head though. Grabbers are not off-road tires in any way shape or form.
The Nissan was pretty impressive! I just might get one. . . the $30 one, not the $50k one... dats crazy. Do they even have a $30-ish-K one?
Base 2WD is about 35k, 4WD is 38k. The pro 4x starts at 45k and gets higher depending on package. Some dealerships are offering 10k off msrp at the moment but probably after taxes you will probably still be around 30k for the base model.
good job guys.
Does anybody think this is a good used truck to buy after 6 years if it has 96k miles?
I heard they're making a v6 trim for this? But yeah I want this titan ! Hehe
General Grabber AT2's would work much better, and are beasts in the snow
yes
why haven't tfl has not done f150 fx4 in this course
Some better off road tires and it would have done a better job. Good vid as usual!. What kind of gimble mount does Andre use with his phone? JC Thanks!
Not a Nissan fan but, no diesel, I feel it would've been great with all the torque .
Even though I don't 4x4 I enjoy the videos. However, how bout a video going down? It would seem to me it might be a bit more challenging to get back down. Just a thought.
I want to see a Bentayga in this off road conditions, if the brand says the Bentayga is good in off road. 😏😏
Nice job.
hell yea thanks guys great video been waiting for one of these
Only a minor complaint. I dont like the chrome plastic Nissan name plates on the doors, tail gate, etc. Black graphics would look cool. Thats me.
Please test the ram power wagon on this trail.
Isn't this the same trail where the Ram Rebel broke?
52k? I guest you're really paying for that extra 2 year warranty..
take a look at the price for top trims for each brand and you'll notice they aren't the most expensive, i've seen a F-150 Platinum priced at close to 80 grand lol, Ford must be on drugs
RasJudah Jah while the titan isn't a bargain it's pricing is in line with the segment.
Ford needs a package to catch people who just absolutely have to spend the most money.
Jeff K 10 grand incentives, 0% interest and employee pricing surely helps to bring in flocks of sheep into the stealershiips lol
+guy proulx . hahahahaha..The car sharks will be waiting.
Great video.
Hi Guys,
Can I make a suggestion for a video? Can you compare a 4x4 with a 2wd with chains? Thanks, I think you can also get a locking dif with just 2wd also. Anyway I think it would make for an interesting video.
I love my Pro 4 2017
YOU GUYS SHOULD TAKE THE NISSAN XTERRA TO CLIFFHANGER 2.0
I'm looking at a new off road truck and curious about which one is "better " a ram rebel or nissian pro 4 x and if the Nissan then which engine?
Iv'e heard this intro tune somewhere else before...
+Boneychuck probably. This is from the UA-cam music library.
have you taken the powerwagon up the hill? can't find it if you did. if not why not? powerwagon on the dare side forsure
nice truck almost like Sierra and tundra
Nice Tee, Nathan!! #RIPLemmy
Fact of the matter, a $100,000.00 isn't far away either. I am never able to buy a truck like this. A mid size truck maybe. But big trucks? Nope.
@6:10 does anyone know what kind a phone holder that is ???? it looks nice.
Sorry guys but airing down this truck invalidates all other test you've done. To be fair you must redo all other test aired down by 10psi.
Dragging your mic wire at 2:27
You didn't air down the Tacoma trd pro?
Trevor C they explained why...
I'm confused. You said you aired down because 2.0 is the toughest blah blah. But you took the poor little renegade through the same route and didn't air it down, or any other vehicle that's run the same route. Is this something you will be doing from now on or was there another reason you aired down (maybe Nissan made you?) I kind of think it's unfair to air down the Nissan when all the other trucks had to do it without that advantage .
when you airdown the tires did the tpms light come on?
