Such a great move from designer fashion houses. I've learned that LV has started this microchips early this year and it's my first time to hear that Chanel and other bands were into it as well. I've downloaded the NFC tool but i haven't tried checking my bag from the by the pool collection yet. Such a great info here! Thanks for sharing!
Yes me too. This is a big leap for these fashion houses. For the scanner that you can download, it wont be able to tell the history of the bag. It will only tell you it’s microchip. 😊
I bought an MM on the go from Louis Vuitton in Tourterelle (Turtle Dove) last month directly from Louis Vuitton and you’re right it doesn’t have a date code anymore. It only came with a sticker with all the security code, it looks like a barcode.
Wow...THANK You AGAIN hun. Btw, the PRE-LOVED market will take a hit with this new technology for sure. If the item can't be authenticated there will be a problem selling these bags. The RESELL Market (inflated prices) I have no mercy. I believe this too is all Political... to discourage reselling. We'll see I suppose.🌼🌸🌼
I know I have thought of that on how the seller will come to play on this. However, this will affect small and new resellers but for those reputable ones maybe not so much as they have a clientele
I wonder if the PRE-LOVED market for authentic pieces is actually poised for growth both in revenue (AND margins) as well as a better/healthier reputation as brands bridge this gap between digital and physical authentication? I see no reason why brands wouldn't (eventually) provide a way for an original owner to show a screenshot (or some other digital proof) of the brand's app or a logged-in page to their website to potential buyers that would prove their genuine ownership as well as the authenticity of the product. This would be valuable to brands as they would get better visibility of their products' life-cycle. If brands further learn to facilitate robust ownership transfers, they stand to gain potential new (and again - authentic :) target customers. Robustness and ease of use could boost customer loyalty.
Hi. I hope you can answer me. I want to buy a Chanel flap bag soon and want to know if I it has a micro chip and one day I need to sell it. (Hopefully it will never happen and I can give to my daughter one day) Do you know if Chanel offer to check your bag is authentic?
I heard about this. This is so interesting blockchain technology. Thanks for doing this video. So the new handbag that I just recently purchased from 21S will be the last pieces with the authenticity card. I’m interested to get something from 21A.
I bought the Victorine Wallet from a Louis Vuitton boutique in Las Vegas, and realized that it didn’t have the date code inside. I took it back to the boutique the next day and the SA scanned it, and all of the information for the wallet came up. It was fascinating!
Thanks so much fot the information! I just got a Chanel mini classic flag with top handle from a reseller today, i didn't know about the metal tag until i went to see the actual bag and the seller told me about this. I was quite doubtful at first but knowing that is a trusted seller i decided to trust him. He said he actually has access internal system of chanel and he sent me screen cap of the information scan with the code of the metal tag.
Great video! So in April I purchased a small classic flap, Beige Clair 31 series. It came with the authenticity card etc. A few weeks ago I purchased a Medium Classic Flap, black Caviar, it came with the new Microchip. My concern is what happens if the chip gets damaged etc. The metal plate on the interior is more substantial than I anticipated. I do miss the authenticity card:( I’m interested to see how this will affect the resellers/ personal shoppers moving forward.
Yes thats true it will take some getting used to. Thats a good point if the chip gets damaged as I know some are on the way. As for resellers, I dont know how it will affect them, we will soon find out. There are trusted resellers so Im sure they will be fine. 🥰
Thank you for sharing this information Antonette, I've never heard of this. I think it's a great way to move forward and hopefully stamped out contierfieter.
The counter fit market already has micro chip but it send u to lv web link in Chinese language I’ve seen them promoting it as new thing to knock off vendors
@@AlwaysAntonette thy ain’t get all of the counterfeiter cus they still selling m posting on ig jus cus thy stopped one don’t mean they caught them all … but I like how Louis Vuitton is hidding and embedded there chip and Chanel jus made it easier to fake there plate n u showing them where it goes
This is very interesting! I have heard a little already about this but your information in this video is great. I am up for it to stop counterfeiting but I admit I will miss the authenticity cards:. I also would love to know what or how the second market will do now to authenticate the bags sold to them 😬?
Thanks dear! I really like this idea of the blockchain technology- deters the counterfeit market. However for resellers I am not sure how they will sell their bags unless they are the reputable ones that many trusts without their authenticity cards.
Hi BFF! Omg this is news to me but I guess it makes sense! You're amazing and love this information that you've just shared with us congratulations! We appreciate this! 😘😘
Great video, very informative, thank you for sharing ♥️ What about if this microchip gets damaged and they won t be able to do the scan? How will they know if the bag is authentic then? ♥️
Thank you so much for sharing the information. Yes, I totally agree with you after they use microchip, it will be very difficult to do authentication. So we need to be more careful if we buy preloved items in the future. ❤️

My Alma BB and Speedy 25B, I bought 2 weeks ago, have a micro chips, so they’ve moved beyond the By the Pool collection, so excited for that.
Thats great to know. So glad they have advanced their technology 😊

About time they do something more advance than an authenticity card
Agree! The auth card wasn’t really enough and in this era we need a better technology
@@AlwaysAntonette They must finally got the real deal of pain from the counterfeits ^.^

Just got my Chanel mini today, no authenticity card but it has that metal plate.

I’ve got my small coco top handle on 28/05/21 in Australia my bag is microchipped
Isnt that cool. I mean we are all so attached to the microchip that this is something very new to us. 😀
I did hear this...
I find it so strange with my LV pieces that don't have the date code 😕
Agree! Some date codes are hidden im conspicuous areas. I have to really find one of mine. 😬
Depending on when product was made it will have it in it it can also b found in permanent classic pieces in collection
This is cool. I have not heard this. So glad they are doing this. Love ❤️ your beautiful Chanel bags behind you.
Hi dear thank you and me too Im glad that they are leveling up their game
My chanel was microchipped. I bought it a week ago here in USA
The number starts as xx not 31 :-)
Sounds great 😊
@@kiaravelasquez6191 do you know how you can check the history of the bag using the chip?

Agree Jojo, new technology for these luxury brands and Im glad they are finally finding a better way to stop the counterfeit market

In wrong country language
Yes I read that too and but they were caught. Recent major bust in China.

@@romangarcia2996 but I think it has to go to that 1 site. If you get the code you can trace it to that site.
Nice video Antonette! am interested in seeing how the resell will handle the new season bags. I will miss the authenticity cards! 😘
Thanks Jamie! Im really curious how this will affect the resellers. Im glad that this will
Somehow minimize the superfakes 🥰
How will see the chip to know if the chip is really there?
Hmm it is hidden so its always better to get it brand new from a boutique
So interesting I had not heard Chanel was microchipping. Makes sense they would. Tfs Xx Jennifer 💕
So, when you buy a bag with the chip from pre-loved market you have no idea how they can authenticate it. They can't scan the chip.
Yes no word on that yet for now so be extra careful and buy at reputable sellers.
Glad to watch your video, learn new things! Thank you so much for all of the info, really useful!❤️
Thanks Trish ❤️

Thanks Charise! Surely glad you enjoyed the video. ❤️
THANK YOU for sharing. wish LV will also do like what Chanel is doing with Metal Plate not just imbed it inside.

Yup good question however I think microchipped are very tiny that its hard to damage. Sometimes are even waterproof
Hi I guess it makes it easier so you don't loose the authenticity card.
I know its better for me too and many of us 😊
I like dat u can’t see it better cus dat metal plate it fake able instead of it bing embedded onto material
Watching here
Thanks sis ❤️

Chanel and LV will never autheticate the bag for you if you buy it second hand
fashion revolution technology 🤣🤣

Yes I know but I am so glad they are doing this. Superfakes are getting harder to detect these days 😰
U can’t even see or feel it in product
Any one can fake a metal plate eat dumb the shud have had something embedded to prevent fakes
Especially knock off coming from China has a form of this technology already
