Such a great move from designer fashion houses. I've learned that LV has started this microchips early this year and it's my first time to hear that Chanel and other bands were into it as well. I've downloaded the NFC tool but i haven't tried checking my bag from the by the pool collection yet. Such a great info here! Thanks for sharing!
Yes me too. This is a big leap for these fashion houses. For the scanner that you can download, it wont be able to tell the history of the bag. It will only tell you it’s microchip. 😊

Wow...THANK You AGAIN hun. Btw, the PRE-LOVED market will take a hit with this new technology for sure. If the item can't be authenticated there will be a problem selling these bags. The RESELL Market (inflated prices) I have no mercy. I believe this too is all Political... to discourage reselling. We'll see I suppose.🌼🌸🌼
I know I have thought of that on how the seller will come to play on this. However, this will affect small and new resellers but for those reputable ones maybe not so much as they have a clientele
I wonder if the PRE-LOVED market for authentic pieces is actually poised for growth both in revenue (AND margins) as well as a better/healthier reputation as brands bridge this gap between digital and physical authentication? I see no reason why brands wouldn't (eventually) provide a way for an original owner to show a screenshot (or some other digital proof) of the brand's app or a logged-in page to their website to potential buyers that would prove their genuine ownership as well as the authenticity of the product. This would be valuable to brands as they would get better visibility of their products' life-cycle. If brands further learn to facilitate robust ownership transfers, they stand to gain potential new (and again - authentic :) target customers. Robustness and ease of use could boost customer loyalty.

My Alma BB and Speedy 25B, I bought 2 weeks ago, have a micro chips, so they’ve moved beyond the By the Pool collection, so excited for that.

I just got a Chanel mini classic flag with top handle from a reseller today, i didn't know about the metal tag until i went to see the actual bag and the seller told me about this. I was quite doubtful at first but knowing that is a trusted seller i decided to trust him. He said he actually has access internal system of chanel and he sent me screen cap of the information scan with the code of the metal tag.

I bought an MM on the go from Louis Vuitton in Tourterelle (Turtle Dove) last month directly from Louis Vuitton and you’re right it doesn’t have a date code anymore. It only came with a sticker with all the security code, it looks like a barcode.
About time they do something more advance than an authenticity card

I bought the Victorine Wallet from a Louis Vuitton boutique in Las Vegas, and realized that it didn’t have the date code inside. I took it back to the boutique the next day and the SA scanned it, and all of the information for the wallet came up. It was fascinating!

Great video! So in April I purchased a small classic flap, Beige Clair 31 series. It came with the authenticity card etc.
A few weeks ago I purchased a Medium Classic Flap, black Caviar, it came with the new Microchip.
My concern is what happens if the chip gets damaged etc.
The metal plate on the interior is more substantial than I anticipated.
I do miss the authenticity card:(

Yes thats true it will take some getting used to. Thats a good point if the chip gets damaged as I know some are on the way.
As for resellers, I dont know how it will affect them, we will soon find out. There are trusted resellers so Im sure they will be fine. 🥰

Yup good question however I think microchipped are very tiny that its hard to damage. Sometimes are even waterproof

So, when you buy a bag with the chip from pre-loved market you have no idea how they can authenticate it. They can't scan the chip.
Yes no word on that yet for now so be extra careful and buy at reputable sellers.
How will see the chip to know if the chip is really there?

The counter fit market already has micro chip but it send u to lv web link in Chinese language I’ve seen them promoting it as new thing to knock off vendors

@@AlwaysAntonette thy ain’t get all of the counterfeiter cus they still selling m posting on ig jus cus thy stopped one don’t mean they caught them all … but I like how Louis Vuitton is hidding and embedded there chip and Chanel jus made it easier to fake there plate n u showing them where it goes

This is very interesting! I have heard a little already about this but your information in this video is great. I am up for it to stop counterfeiting but I admit I will miss the authenticity cards:. I also would love to know what or how the second market will do now to authenticate the bags sold to them 😬?
Thanks dear! I really like this idea of the blockchain technology- deters the counterfeit market. However for resellers I am not sure how they will sell their bags unless they are the reputable ones that many trusts without their authenticity cards.

@@AlwaysAntonette LV told me your receipt is your proof of Authenticity. Mine has type of bag l bought, how much l paid, on LV letterhead.
Chanel and LV will never autheticate the bag for you if you buy it second hand

Any one can fake a metal plate eat dumb the shud have had something embedded to prevent fakes
Especially knock off coming from China has a form of this technology already
