What a great song brings back a lot of memories for me when times were so much simpler people worry so much about useless rubbish now just enjoy life while you can
Absolutely brilliant song by the Glitter Band. Had so many great hits. They were kind of underated due to the competition at the time. They had Sweet, Mud, Slade, Suzi Quatro, Wizzard, T. Rex to contend with along with others of course. The band had a sound of their own which brought them success. Great times, great music, great memories. Thanks Bill
Garys backing band that had a career of their own and they were one tight unit. Saw him and them live and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen . Pop songs are the hardest to play live and do it right .
its a shame that glitters management screwed this great band out of royalties........glitter himself was jealous of them.( this all came out years later).a certain man,ray brown got the band to sign dodgy contracts, stripping them of future royalties.........the late, great john rossall was forced out of the band.....( glitter was partly to blame) john died penniless.....😢real talent ripped off by scum......💩😡
@@pussypaws111 Just remember though they were called The Glitter Band ??? Garys Backing Band . Yes they were given the chance to have a career away from him and Rossall started to push them over Garys ( releases ) and that did create friction and John left to keep the peace . That does not excuse the Royalty Ripoff . That entire era had many that got stiffed by Managers and Record Companies .
@@michaelmarshall1713 the band also got ripped off, when they were on glitters live album" remember me this way",from the film.they just earned a nights gig money.that album charted massive....the band also didnt get paid from the" never too young to rock" film, either🙄😡
The glitter band and Gary Glitter were my world! Seen him at Stoke, great night, and saw them with mud and rubbettes in a barn at hill ridware. Thank you all for keeping me happy. Love the 70s even more now. Xxxxx thanks for the music each and every one of you. And now I must get to see George McCrae live.
Iam now 66years old, I always loved the two drummer content the sound was great. Pity they are no more. Great loss to music. Megadeth is the go for me now.
Now i am nearly 66 years old an still like Glitter Band music. We where so young😢 Greetings from Germany

Brilliant. Love the Glitter Band
They run through my teenage years like a stick of rock. Powerful, a mood ehancer, as all their stuff
This is a really nice (but quite sad) song. Nice voice and love it when you see the audience up close and no bloody phones.
Being social .
Without the Glitter Band Gary wouldn't have got as far as he did. The Glitter band rock n roll

R.I.P Gerry Shepherd - an incredible talent.
Love you Gerry
No one beats him
And RIP Harvey Ellison, on 2nd guitar here, but usually playing saxophone in his shades !
Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones ❤
@Monkton Trimble omg sublime all right..I love ❤️ that word
One of my 70s favourites

GG without these talented guys ....difficult for him !! This awesome Band together with Mike Leander make "THE SOUND" !@

The great brilliant Glitter band, sadly missed members Gerry Shepherd ,John Rossal AND Harvey Ellison, thanks for the memories boys
Absolutely loved his voice. One of few groups did not see living in Belfast as young person
I recall another dedicated promo to this song. I saw it on Countdown Australia back in the 70s. All in white. I can't find it anywhere?
Great song! Highlight from the "Listen to the Band" album. Thanks for sharing!
it's such a shame we can can't see this like we did back in the day
When Glitter went down, they went down with him - stations will not play their material because they were his band....
@@richardcochrane1966 They were tarred with the same brush, which was wrong!
Omg. So weird seeing John with that big hair. Love it
