I adore Ollie's "curious face" he makes when you ask him a question. And Peter was hilarious testing out the hotel bed! Between Peter bellyflopping and Ollie digging to China, I'm guessing the Freys are a little rough on hotel rooms 😂
You look beautiful Mary! cute shirt n love the pearls with it!! Cool shirt too Peter! hope you guys have a great time wherever you guys are! hope it's to see your new nephew!! Praying your pump stays going as long as possible!!
Corrinmessina perhaps she didn't say the name of the bridge in her comment as to not give away where Mary and Peter were going or to protect their privacy as i'm sure many did not know the bridge.
I love your attitude! "I had an allergic reaction to this med, but I'm glad at least it didn't mess with my breathing and I didn't get a fever" you're always looking for the positive in everything, when you have everything to complain about. Y'all are amazing. Keep it up!
I 💖 road trips! Thank you for taking us along! Peter, you are awarded a 10 out of 10! 🏅 Mary, you guys have a great time and tell Ollie I 💖 him. Hugs & Love,. 💞🙏🐕🐾
Here's a good laugh for you! When I was15, I went on my first date, with a 19 year old boy. He had told me that he was taking me out to dinner at a restaurant called The Golden Arches. I thought that sounded like a fancy restaurant, so I got all dressed up. When he turned into McDonalds & I saw the golden arches sign, I realized my mistake & we both had a good laugh!
It fizzled out after about 6 months, like most high school relationships. I was only 15, and really didn't have too much in common with a 19 year old! But as to the golden arches thing, when he asked me, he assumed that I knew it was mcdonalds. I had just never heard it referred to as the golden arches.
Funny about not knowing it called The Golden Arches. The first time somebody asked me if there was a Micky Dee's nearby, I didn't know what they were talking about either. LOL
Aww I love that you decided to go on a road trip! I'm glad to see that you are up and moving Mary, and that you have a smile on your face:). It truly is contagious!
I'm watching this with a huge headache from meds and almost turned it off to wait til I felt better, but then I laughed so hard at Ollie jumping on the bed with Peter. Thanks for the little moment of joy, guys :)
That was so cute when Ollie was smelling the air coming in the car window and when him and Peter flopped down on the bed. I am so happy you are doing so much better after surgery. Hope you had fun on your trip.
Thank you for being such an amazing example of a couple trusting in Christ through your trials. We're going through a lot of "stuff" right now, and just today I used the "Do what you think you can't do" phrase over and over, just to get through it. I appreciate you!
Congratulations Auntie Mary and Uncle Peter. Hope you aren't too uncomfortable from the long ride. God Bless your whole family as you bask in the wonder of new life.
I recognize those roads! We drive them when we visit our family in CT. So, I think you are headed our way. Lol. So glad to see Mary feeling a bit better. Enjoy your trip!!!
Love the spontaneous road trip. Seize the day! Live life to the fullest! My pump battery seems to last a good 4-5 days so I'm crossing my fingers yours lasted as long as you needed it to!
Very pleased to see you look so well, especially compared to yesterday. With the exception of seeing you in an immediate post op setting, yesterday's vlog is the worst I have seen you look physically. As well as that you were understandably, so out of character which worried me most. You could barely even fake a believable smile. I felt so sorry for you. Delighted in today's change, although I know you will of course still be sore. Mary, you are amazing. Pleased you have such good men in Peter and Ollie to help you through. Hugs
I just love you two! Praise God for all the joy you bring to others! So inspiring that you keep on living no matter your circumstance. You make me smile everyday. God Bless your sweet family 💜!
Awe, I'm glad you guys got to go on a trip! You deserve rest and relaxation. My favorite part of this vlog was when Peter belly flopped on the bed and Ollie dig himself a hole on the bed lol. Too cute!
So a few tricks for traveling with a feeding tube. The first is calculate exactly how many bags and formula (container, cans, or powder) you need and add an extra 1-2 says worth of feeding supplies on just in case (you never know if your formula will overheat or go bad or a bag willMalfunction. Always bring syringes for meds and flushes or clogs and extra gauze, extensions, and tubes. When you set up a new feeding bag keep it all in the backpack at all times including the charger, you never know when you will need to get up and go somewhere and it is way easier to just put the charger in the backpacks and go rather then having to take it off tne poll situate it in the back and grab the charger. I have done this from day one since I cam home with a feedinf tube, the lady who educated me told me it will make my life so much easier because I never have to go through the hassle of packing the back more then once a day. You may need a bigger backpack so everrything will fit but also keep exta gauze, extensions, syriges, and tape in there for any emergencey you may have. I think you should also ask to get bigger 1000 ml bags so you can fill up more at once especially for overnight feeds. Also remener to bring ice packs and a cooler for formula if you are in a warm environment or will be outside with your feeding backpack for a long time
Consider keeping a written checklist with all of your necessary travel supplies! I do that with my diabetic supplies, and check that before heading out the door so I'm sure I didn't miss anything. I know I could probably do it in my head, but keeps me from worrying about missing something important (like extra batteries for my insulin pump). :)
I totally understand why people would be worried about y'all travelling after surgery, but I say let Mary live! She knows her limits better than we do, and she wouldn't do anything to cause more harm to herself. She's said in the past how hard she works to make sure she does everything she can to avoid ever having to look back and say "what if I had done this" or "what if I hadn't done that" so clearly she wouldn't do anything she didn't feel safe doing. I hope this trip is so fun and fulfilling for you guys and I can't wait to hear where you went and what you do!
I'm sure you could stop by some medical supply store and find something to charge up your machine. Please try to keep it going. You are a completely different person when you have fuel! I can see it in your eyes! Please take care! I love to watch dogs dig in blankets! It is the cutest thing!
You guys happened to pop up right as I was logging off to study. Had to make time for one more video, of course :) Glad all is well and you're able to get out there! Fingers crossed for no more complications!
We even stopped at a hospital and Peter went and asked them if we could charge my pump and they looked at him like he had three heads! hahaha it was worth a try!~
Happy to see you guys getting out and about! 😊 Road trips after abdominal surgery are hard--but you guys are doing great! Glad the doc figured out the scary side effects! Safe travels!!!
Where did ya'll run off to? Lovin' the slo mo bed dive and Ollie was right there with ya Peter. To funny and then the bed digging. He cracks me up! Have fun wherever you are!
SOOOOOOO excited for this trip for you guys!!!!! I think for a sick person, it's so amazing and exciting to be able to kind of break out of the jail that is hospital or home and go far, far away! I have a trip coming up that I'm SOOOO excited about, but definitely is a lot to consider when you have a chronic illness. I've had to plan so, so much extra and I'm going to have to pack extra, too. One thing I'm very appreciative of is how airports are disability friendly, with many airlines offering complementary wheelchair service! Anyway, I'm thinking you guys are in MD visiting your new baby nephew who'll be here any day! So exciting! Maybe... you guys said you're only staying for a day, though... hmmm... Tomorrow we'll find out the mystery!
I really hope you're off to see your new nephew, and that you enjoy the trip whatever it's for :) I'm also glad that I'm not the only one who thinks those underground tunnels are magical :)
Mary, you can do a drop to gravity just by hanging the pouch and opening line if you loose bat power. just drop like a third, wait a bit, another third, wait.... etc. good luck.
well, don't know where you guys are but I hope you have a great and relaxing time..and Ollie, too. Love your little family..and I laughed at Peter and Ollie doing the bed check!
Hope u both have a lovely trip! I once left my feeding tube out too long (well I sat around for half an hour before decided probably best going in) and ended up having to have to go back under anaesthetic and have it replaced so learnt my lesson and now carry one round of me if it comes out I replace it myself straightaway job done....so definitely recommend carrying a spare! hope ur both ok x
That is what I was thinking when they arrive at their destination! I guess it would depend if the hospital carried a charger for that specific device. It's the weekend so it might be difficult to find a medical supply store open. For the expense, it might not be a bad idea to have an extra charger & even a spare battery just to keep in the car. I feel like we are taking this trip with them! lol
Aunt Mary and Uncle Peter be safe on your travels its totally worth it to meet the new baby but Mary you just had surgery that bouncing around in the car is going to wear you out, God Bless you both on your travels and congrats on the nephew!!
50 bucks she was taking Reglan. My daughter had to take Reglan. She had spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis and developed illeus. Was in and out of the hospital for a whole summer trying to get her digestive system going. Regan. did the trick, but the warnings are terrifying. Can cause permanent involuntary movements.
Christy M i have been on reglan myself. No side effects other than diarrhea. .I know gross. But it was given for reasons other than Mary's condition. Which by the way I was just diagnosed with the same thing as her last month. My stomach takes over 2 hours to empty only 1/2 of what i have eaten.
Wow lowkey freaking out bc I recognized the highway you were driving on and then immediately after the bridge. I go to college right by there!! Wish I could meet you guys one day. Enjoy where your road trip takes you!!
If you get a chance you can probably pick up a 9v or 12 volt charger for your pump at any Best Buy or if you still have Radio Shack's they would definitely have one. Just call your Dr. or the place where you got the pump and they can tell you what to get. These after market chargers are relatively inexpensive. Good Luck! Can't wait to see your destination! Safe Travels!
I bet you guys are heading to meet your little nephew!!!!! That's my first thoughts! 😊 I can hardly wait for your next vlog to see if I'm right!! Enjoy enjoy, God is good 😘 love and hugs to the 3 of you, see you tomorrow!
At 16 I was given a medication Compazine to stop vomiting with a kidney stone. Six days on it and my neck turned to one side, my mouth opened wide and I couldn't close it. The ER gave a shot that immediately stopped the reaction, but I've been told by several doctors it wasn't an allergic reaction but a side effect. Super scary, but thank God I'm 48 now and have never had any other reactions or bad side effects to any other meds.
After 18 years with a G tube mine fell out for the first time this month. Not a fun way to start the morning! Haha but it all ended ok. Hope your getting even better today and enjoying your trip!
Yesica1993 it's actually a pretty short tube going from the stoma just inside the stomach (Mines 2.5 centimeters total) held in place by a 'balloon' or bubble full of water. Over time that balloon leaks making the button get loose. If it all comes out unknowingly (like in my case) the button can fall out as nothing is holding it in anymore.
just word of advice if you guys can afford it buy another / back up charger to keep it in the car for emergencies like that when y'all forget it. for your feeding tube machine.
Sorry that you have gastroparesis on top of everything else. I've been battling that my whole life I just didn't find out until about four years ago I have had two surgeries and multiple procedures to help with it because it because it was so bad I finally ended up having to have gastric bypass which is a treatment for it which has helped but that has lead to other complications. I was on medication for it but the side effects and the potential side effects were just too severe and I stopped taking it so I totally understand how you felt on that that medication. I also battle with trying to keep my weight up. I hope this works you.
My dog can stay in the car a long time with air conditioner on and he will dig whenever he is on the bed or outside in the mood for digging. he knows when not to dig but when he wants to and is in the mood he will just go for it
aaahhhhh! What a cliffhanger! Where ARE you guys!? 10 hour drive, added one hour to the trip - 9 hours from where you started, I guess. Sheesh, I'm going to be on tenterhooks until tomorrow's vlog!!
I adore Ollie's "curious face" he makes when you ask him a question. And Peter was hilarious testing out the hotel bed! Between Peter bellyflopping and Ollie digging to China, I'm guessing the Freys are a little rough on hotel rooms 😂
I love road trips, especially with someone who loves and 'gets' you. So much fun! I loved Peter and Ollie both doing the bed test.
You look beautiful Mary! cute shirt n love the pearls with it!! Cool shirt too Peter! hope you guys have a great time wherever you guys are! hope it's to see your new nephew!! Praying your pump stays going as long as possible!!
I recognize that big bridge! Ollie is amazing. Looks like he went into work mode and was making sure Peter was okay.
It's the Tapenzzee Bridge in New York
Corrinmessina perhaps she didn't say the name of the bridge in her comment as to not give away where Mary and Peter were going or to protect their privacy as i'm sure many did not know the bridge.
its not like they were staying on the bridge so calm down
I am just going to take a guess - you are going to go visit your new nephew?!? :)
I love your attitude! "I had an allergic reaction to this med, but I'm glad at least it didn't mess with my breathing and I didn't get a fever" you're always looking for the positive in everything, when you have everything to complain about. Y'all are amazing. Keep it up!

19!!!!! With a - the Golden Arches is funny though
Can't you find a hospital or a medical supply pharmacy to see if they have something recharge your machine?
Heather Smith sounds expensive
Ollie is the coolest most laid back yet attentive and loving dog.
i so love hearing you an Peter singing in the car.
AWWWWW Ollie is such a good boy!!! he immediately checked to see if Peter was okay! soooooo cute 😇
That was so cute when Ollie was smelling the air coming in the car window and when him and Peter flopped down on the bed. I am so happy you are doing so much better after surgery. Hope you had fun on your trip.
It's wonderful to see what the right type of fuel does, you're getting your glow back Mary.
This is soooo exciting!!! Time to see your adorable nephew?? Keep safe and well. Praying for you all! 🙏💕💕💕💕
Thank you for being such an amazing example of a couple trusting in Christ through your trials. We're going through a lot of "stuff" right now, and just today I used the "Do what you think you can't do" phrase over and over, just to get through it. I appreciate you!
Hope you two are going to meet your nephew! That would be wonderful!
So glad you guys got to get away!!! but you didn't tell us where🤔
Blessing 💓
Ollie is SO CUTE!!!! ❤❤❤🐩🐩
So cute
Hey Mary. A question came to my mind: Do your nurses watch your channel, too?
@Jude Dimatteo they answer a lot
Congratulations Auntie Mary and Uncle Peter. Hope you aren't too uncomfortable from the long ride. God Bless your whole family as you bask in the wonder of new life.
All 3 of you are SO ADORABLE and Mary seems so much better already. This makes me happy 😊 xxxx
I recognize those roads! We drive them when we visit our family in CT. So, I think you are headed our way. Lol. So glad to see Mary feeling a bit better. Enjoy your trip!!!

Sudden travel??? Sounds like a baby is on his way🤗💕💕💕💕👶🏻
I love watching you're road trips. Mary despite the challenges you make it work.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling has been my favorite car jam lately!
Thanks for the ride, I love when my you tubers take me for a ride!

Don't forget when it's hot to add a cold pack to your feeding pump bag. Happy travels!
The pure joy on Oliver's face 😭❤️
c. 5:39 Mary, you do such great camera work with the scenery, and Peter and Ollie too lololl!
I am so excited to be able to watch you get stronger and stronger from your new fueling system!
"Bound for Glory" is one of my favorite songs! Loved hearing it in the video.

so where are you guys?😄
Aww I live not even a mile from that bridge u went over with the new bridge they are building. Hope u have a wonderful trip!!
I'm sure you could stop by some medical supply store and find something to charge up your machine. Please try to keep it going. You are a completely different person when you have fuel! I can see it in your eyes! Please take care! I love to watch dogs dig in blankets! It is the cutest thing!
I love spontaneous adventures. Have fun guys!
Looking good Mary! Went to my first Dollar Tree today and thought of you guys! Have fun on your trip.
I love watching y'all sing praise music in the car!!
You all be safe on you're trip! And have a nice time you all needed a mini vacation so I'm glad your able to get out and travel.
I'm so happy you have a backpack!! It's such a good way to keep mobile while feeding :)
You guys happened to pop up right as I was logging off to study. Had to make time for one more video, of course :) Glad all is well and you're able to get out there! Fingers crossed for no more complications!
You guys are so cute... Mary your little sayings always make me smile.. enjoy your trip!!!
I really enjoyed this happy, well filmed and fun episode of The Frey Life, thank you! It made my evening
I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten my feeding pump charger! So glad to know Im not alone 😊
I watch you guys every day. I love your positive attitude.
yay happy days. I enjoyed the road trip, I felt like I went somewhere. you look awesome Mary and you are awesome. have fun.
Where did ya'll run off to? Lovin' the slo mo bed dive and Ollie was right there with ya Peter. To funny and then the bed digging. He cracks me up! Have fun wherever you are!

I reckonize those roads as roads from Massachusetts to Maryland! I hope you make it safely!
I know where you're going!!!! So excited for ALL of you!!!!
Ok can't wait to see where you went. Have fun.
To people who are so perfect for each other is you both
Is this a spontaneous road trip to visit Rachel for when they get their baby? I just thought of that and now I am curious haha
Catherine Swank the suspense! Ahhhh
Catherine Swank yes it was
Mary, you can do a drop to gravity just by hanging the pouch and opening line if you loose bat power. just drop like a third, wait a bit, another third, wait.... etc. good luck.
well, don't know where you guys are but I hope you have a great and relaxing time..and Ollie, too. Love your little family..and I laughed at Peter and Ollie doing the bed check!
I'm glad you are ok - that reaction is horrible! Hope you lose the tremors soon and feel better!
watching your vlogs makes me so incredibly homesick ❤
Hope u both have a lovely trip! I once left my feeding tube out too long (well I sat around for half an hour before decided probably best going in) and ended up having to have to go back under anaesthetic and have it replaced so learnt my lesson and now carry one round of me if it comes out I replace it myself straightaway job done....so definitely recommend carrying a spare! hope ur both ok x
Please take care Mary, Peter and Ollie..love you guys 😘🙏🏻
You guys are adorable, your little singalongs are the best
1:39 "Ma'am, did you realize you're driving with a low pump battery?" ;)
I think I recognized some of the scenery you filmed, especially the bridges. 🙂
I'm so excited for you and Ollie makes my day.
I think I know where you two are going!
Could you go to a nearby hospital and have them charge your machine?
Great intro...beautiful pup.
Christy M I knew it was reglan too! What a scary medicine.
Christy M I had scoliosis surgery too
Christy M i have been on reglan myself. No side effects other than diarrhea. .I know gross. But it was given for reasons other than Mary's condition. Which by the way I was just diagnosed with the same thing as her last month. My stomach takes over 2 hours to empty only 1/2 of what i have eaten.
It is a great medicine and got her system going fast. I hope you feel better soon!
A long and scary surgery. I hope you are doing well.
Wow lowkey freaking out bc I recognized the highway you were driving on and then immediately after the bridge. I go to college right by there!! Wish I could meet you guys one day. Enjoy where your road trip takes you!!
Ollie made me so happy :'D so playfull today! ❤❤❤
So glad you are feeling better today and well enough for a little trip xxxxxxxxxxxxx
125 k subscribers....Congrats you two! 💐💐💐
and this spontaneity is why i love u guys
hehe :)
I caught Peter singing "Fresh Snips"! I can lipread. I guess you watch Cullen & Katie, Daily Bumps, Ellie & Jared, or all three.
Yesica1993 no problem!
You take the big bridge (somewhere in Mass) so calmly, every time I have to travel over I hate it not sure why lol.
just word of advice if you guys can afford it buy another / back up charger to keep it in the car for emergencies like that when y'all forget it. for your feeding tube machine.
Love the bed test today! Ollie just had to test out the bed as well 😂but did I miss what you 3 are up too.
I also battle with trying to keep my weight up. I hope this works you.
you can also do gravity feeds through the night . just hang your bag high and let it drip into your tummy ♡ . save your battery for the day
Anna Thomas - Also in the night they need to flush the tube.
Oliver is such a sweet dog!
ha ha loved it when Ollie jumped at the same time as Peter lol
I chuckled this time when the thumbnails are off again. Today's is 1 year ago / yesterday.
