- Reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, fresh ANC true wireless earbuds whose noise cancelling abilities aren't as strong as some of the best TSW options in 2021. They're an improvement vs the Live and Plus buds, but there are plenty of caveats.
At £219 UK, Samsung's earphones are as expensive as brilliant rivals like the Powerbeats Pro and those Airpods, and the audio quality is certainly just as strong if not better. Bass addicts will maybe not be satisfied, but I loved the Galaxy Buds Pro's clarity and depth of sound across the range. These earbuds are definitely among the greatest for audiophiles.
However, the ANC noise cancellation isn't as effective on voices and other BG noise, while fresh features like the voice detection don't add any real value. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro offer quite average battery life as well, with around five hours of use per charge with that ANC active.

I've had them for 2 years now and they still work like they are new!
Never had any problems with them and they still sound really good, I definitely recommend them.
that's really cool and all!, but I do not recommend them. they're quite annoying. mine have problems with literally anything and I bought them 7 months ago

Poor connection, always powering off randomly, tried everything but they still were falling, poor battery life, didn't charged NOTHING, Samsung Wearable App detected the earphones but didn't wanted to connect. And a lot more. But getting that off of the way, hope yours works perfectly. Take care, mate 🫂

@@martyboi5609 No. When I wear the buds, the buds just stick there with no problem. I have very sweaty ears sometimes, still, they don’t fall off. I play games with it and the quality is still very good, but with a little problems with the Hands-Free mode.

I don't understand how all these review guys don't know about Samsung sound assistant, which has a eq you can fully adjust and fine tune to your liking. Everyone is always like, well the l these buds only give us presets, that's it. WRONG. Which is very limiting obviously. Been using the sound assistant even with jabras,Jaybird and buds plus it dramatically improves the sound on any headphones or buds. USE IT
I fucking love this guy, he gives good info and sometimes out of no where drops some mad shit which makes want to pay attention. Great plan.
Most of review is about features and app options, i would rather talk about the voice quality, music playback, bass, mic quality, ANC etc. Thats what i care about when i am working or having a run.

I love UK reviewers slang, such as, "piddle about". It's almost like a very refined approach. 30 quid. Blow your bloody brains out. Whateva, very detailed review within a quick 10 minutes. Hi! Thanks for the review, I just got these. I instantly noticed that the opening/closing mechanism of the case feels a bit flimsy and, when fully opened, you can move it about a little. Did I get a get a dud or is this just how it is? The buds+ mechanism feels a lot more sturdy and reliable, by comparison. Would love to hear experiences from others!

Yeah same plus I've had to get mine repaired as the 1st day I got then they had a loud buzzing sound that wouldn't go away
its been almost 2 yrs for me (If it comes to be Feb 2023) and also i have used the Buds plus before i got the buds pro as a gift but its how it is man. Just need to admit what it is BUT it has ANC and the Speak to chat on which it doesnt have on the Buds plus and longer batter life than the galaxy buds plus and more so it might be better than the buds plus
I greatly appreciate the frank, honest, and "real" review of the product. The main reason for the purchase is trying to hear my soft-spoken friends in the noisy coffee shop they insist on patronizing..
What I noticed with Bixby voice activation is that, it requires that you manually set it for voice activation in the settings after every update thereof.

I ordered mine today. Hope they're coming soon, need it in my body. The original buds I dropped in Germany while on vacation, so been using some cheap replacements until now. Only thing I hate about the wireless headphones in general, high risk of dropping or forgetting them somewhere ^^
Whats your review?
I really like them. Blocks out a lot of real world sound. Have been using them near daily since I got them, and they still works like new! Really good sound in my opinion and some nice features that I use regularly. Comfortable, but have to press them in a bit when I'm running or they'll most likely fall out.

Great review! For switching to a different device, does it need to first disconnect from the previous device? Or is it possible to switch just by choosing from the new device without disconnecting from the previous device, same as the buds plus?
They switch automaticly if your phone starts ringing for example

Been looking at these or the soundcores so really looking forward to that video. I used to own the galaxy buds plus however had to sell due to the lack of water resistance (I work outside 6 hours plus per day and use them all day) really like the look of these but that price is higher than I'd have hoped
Battery life is a lot less than on the Pluses, but might be worth the trade. I have to agree on the price though - I'd wait until they drop in price.
@Joel Cairns unfortunately buddy they aren't really what I'm looking for. I'm a postman you see so the anc is probably the least important part as I can't have it on anyway

Considering the majority of us are getting it free with our S21s I doubt we're going to be too picky but still great knowing roughly what to expect nonetheless. Also does anyone know if those of us that preordered will get the freebies with the phone or after 30 days?

Ive had mine for over 2 years and like them a lot and whilst I think the sound quality is excellent and ANC is amazing personally, the fit is not amazing as when I often strain my head/neck (either laughing or grimacing when lifting weights) they feel like they slide out. I also believe that memory foam tips are essential for the ANC as well as fit. However, memory foam is not very durable, and they often need replacing.

@@AccidentalGenius158 £100 is a good price. I've used these a little for a trip recently. I was on a very loud bus playing music I didn't like plus a few drunk people sitting behind me. The ANC cut out all the noise it was amazing. If your on a plane you may as well be in a library its do good.

I love the sound quality and features of my buds, but I'm considering returning them because I have small ears and these earbuds refuse to stay in. I can sit them in and wiggle into place all I can but they don't "pop into place" and fall out, regardless of if I'm moving or sitting still. They also move and fall out if I talk or yawn or chew. I love the sound quality but I can't do anything to keep them from falling out.

Same here the sound quality is great and the features are cool but these won't stay in worth a shit . I don't even need to be doing much and they'll pop out or if I talk or smoke they'll do the same then
Had the same problem but I was using the wrong size silicone tips it is working perfectly now.

Here's the bottom line on the pros and cons on these earbuds. I’ll keep it simple. The biggest con on this model is that they DO NOT fit in your ears securely! Unlike the Samsung ear buds plus which have the fins that make it fit more securely, these DO NOT! There a little bit heavier and with no wing support, they tend to pop out of your ears easier so don't think you can take these to the gym on the treadmill, or work in the garden sweating, and then when you bend over to pick something up, one may pop out of your ear! This has happened to me allot!. Now if your just sitting down, walking or not doing anything that jars your head and sweat, you’ll be fine. That’s the biggest con. The biggest pro is that they sound totally awesome! Unbelievable low ends, mids, and high frequency, and the noise cancellation feature is totally awesome! There ya go!

I've got some coming as a free gift after purchasing my s21 and am in two minds whether to just sell them on. I've been rocking with a pair of Beats X's for a couple of years and they're okay. I am a hip hop head so feel the comment about the bass alone should be enough to warrant a sell on job tbf, the most important thing being your music sounding good
When you said Portishead I died, triphop and Alternate downtempo are my jam. Got these free with my tab s8+ can't wait for them to arrive

I guess it is not the Samsung's earbuds that can finally replace my old and trustworthy IconX (2018) for hardcore exercises and running in hot weather or raining days . If it can't stay in my ears then it is not good for working out. Even if it is IPX7 .

@@OPTIMISTICO that is the problem. I don't know if they will really stay still in my ears of I go running with then in a very hot summer day. Some reviewers have been complaining that they don't stay still ... I got a very good earbuds from Sony ...extra bass 700 and it does not have a rubberized wing tip and so when sweating they want to pop out of my ears. So I use then for casual use now and went back to my IconX(2018) that is fully rubberized and don't fall down ...
Unfortunately we can't test the Buds Pro before buying. Unless my IconX breaks ,I will not risk buying a high IP certified earbuds Buds that half the reviewers said it is more for casual use. The plastic case of the earbuds can stay still on the ears until you start sweating like hell.
Maybe if I buy a new Samsung's phone this ear I will get the Buds Pro for free and will test it by self for running.

I'd give them a 4/10
They're not the loudest, sound quality is too bad but also not great. The fall out of your ears pretty easily. The noise cancelling is useless if trying to talk on a bus. All the other person hears is the sound of the bus engine. Sometimes they can't detect that they're being worn. Battery life is pretty good and the mic works well if there's not much background noise. Mic is much better than my skull candy cassette but sound quality is comparable. The difference is my skull candy cost me £20 brand new.

No iOS support is a bummer. When paired with your iOS device, you wont get the app support you get with buds live or the plus.
Lol, its not Samsung's fault anymore. Why would they have a supporting app for a competing platform and brand? It still sounds better than the Airpods Pro even then though.
Actually, they do support Google Assistant. You just have to remove Bixby Voice as the standard app from the phone's settings.
I got a newer Android tablet, the S7, this Bixby crap is dumb, it is the only reason I would go back to my Tab A 8.0 2015
Well for me I have the OnePlus 7 Pro where Bixby does not even exist.

I currently have Jabra Elite 65t as my wireless earbuds, and the right bud is the main one that controls the connection between devices, so left one won't work unless you have the right bud in your ear...
Is this the case with these as well?
Also, whilst they're still priced at £300... Would these still be considered "worth it" if they're (Samsung) are giving these away with a laptop preorder?

I cannot go longer than 45 seconds with these buds without them falling out, I've gone up to the biggest size tip yet I could be perfectly still and will feel them slipping out ever so slightly until they drop out 30 seconds later, it's very irritating, I also have a relative who has the same issue ive tried every solution, I've already ordered a pair of airpod pros bc these became genuinely unbearable
You might wanna go with the smaller ones. But I've only had them for about a week

Dont blame the brand if you dont even know how to use the tools they provide you. The extra eartips are there for a reason. Sad that you replaced them with a worse sounding product
