Former Yamaha jet boat owner, current Supreme S220 owner. Criticism: The surf wave looks better than other jet boats for sure. Yamaha is guilty of some creative marketing to make theirs appear more surfable than it is. This looks decent. However, I feel like it needs another 14-1500 lbs of ballast to compete with other 23' wake boats on the market. The Supreme S220 is running 4400 lbs factory ballast and the wave is very adjustable. Besides that, the bimini looks small, and the interior upholstery seems a bit plane. Positives: low draft, better for beach access, maneuverability (it's probably fun to drive), higher top speed I'm assuming (wasn't mentioned). The interior layout is phenomenal, reminds me a lot of my AR240 seating. There's a lot I miss about my jet, I'm intrigued.
@EVOA I think that's what Kyma is attempting to do. Certainly, at the $150k price point, they're in the same bracket as many other brands with their well optioned entry-level models. They're branding it as a jet powered wake boat. I'm certain they'll evolve with their offerings as the brand grows. I'm looking forward to seeing more comparisons. There's certainly a lot to like about it.
@jaredcarpenter....As the founder of the company and the guy who designed, engineered and created this product your comments ring true to our goal. There is a lot to like about jets and past efforts left a lot on the table. We're glad you like what you see and are intrigued. Our outstanding goal was to take the best of the jet and optimize it for watersports performance to create a well rounded product that didnt exist because big companies are risk averse.....We're a new agile company and this is our first shot. We're rooted in the Marine industry and have delivered proven results for the majors along the way and stepped out on our own to fill a void. Thanks for the productive input. The comments on the interior and bimini are spot on. Both intentional. We had to manage our engineering resources and the interior is simple to ensure good durability. The bimini is smaller but the articulating tower brings it to a full shade level at the touch of the button and is usable in the down position. We could have made a complicated flip/flop design but focused on durability and flexibility as opposed to gimmickry. The design gives the best of all worlds and lets you sneak under bridges and park in a 10' garage all at the touch of a button. Top speed is a reliable 45-47 with 2 on board and 1/2 tank (boating mag will publish their data in the next couple of weeks). All the alliance footage is shot with 1/2 tank of fuel and two on board. We could pimp it with lead bags but believe in showing what you get. Not what the sales and marketing types want to make their jobs easier. #honestwave. Believe it.
@@allegorx58are your sure you actually watched the whole video? Cole literally sitting on the board surfing with no effort shows just how easy the wave is to surf. Wakeboarding mag had the same impression .....time change, people invest their energy to move the ball. It also takes time for people's perception to change. Maybe your will maybe it won't....But FACT is that the KYMA is a Jet Boat that surfs as well and any VDrive in the same weight class. Period.
@@edwardmalle210 I saw the wave. I saw the wake. It wouldn’t even be in the top 10 surf/wake boats. I don’t doubt it’s fun and I’m sure it’ll be great for some families but don’t tell me this thing is as good as the nautiques/malibu/mc/cents out here. He even made it clear that he’s comparing it to other jet boats, not the boats I previously mentioned. Been in this industry for 25 years and ridden behind damn near everything.
Boat looks nice .but the wake and wake is shi! .. buy a axis a20 ..the wake and wake still much bigger and cheaper ..i mean if you looks wave and wake boat .
Very cool boat! Looks even better in person.

do you think this boat must compete with other 23' models? or is it suitable to be the best in its category?

💪💪
i thought you not supposed to tow a tube off the tower
mind you that tower looks hella beefy
I remember when Alliance was the “Core” mag… Now they are test driving jet boats. That wake looks cheeks. Absolute ass
lol thank you
Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is this boat listed (with Supercharged config) for over $200,000 USD? Wow. Seems a bit steep for a jet surf boat.
2024 pricing direct to consumer with upgraded trailer delivered to your door for 175,000 for the KYMA K7 Supercharged. The base engine option is less.
there is no such thing as a jet surf boat
