My frustration with all these pundits is how they predict doom and gloom in upcoming games and when the team pulls through somehow they suddenly say its not a real test and oohh lets wait till a certain fixture coming up in the future. Just admit the team has improved. Arsenal in the past 4 seasons would have lost that Palace game. The team is still work in progress. The TV pundits and fans should know that.

100% agree with the title. Taking off your tallest striker when you're sitting back and defending crosses was bad enough but taking off your best play maker with 30 minutes to spare was unforgivable.

I'm an Arsenal fan and for anyone here that thinks that Merson is talking rubbish might I remind everyone of some of these results, 6-3 loss to City, 6-0 to chelsea, 4-0 to liverpool and so many other disastrous results similar to this. We have a history for going missing in big games since 2007 and getting absolutely obliterated by our rivals. So no I'm not confident. Our defence is a shambles still and we're still starting way too slow. Liverpool is the most lethal counterattacking team in the league and our past 10 games have been against weaker opposition. Thats the facts. That being said I really hope we can turn up an put in a shift. If we can get a draw I'd be very happy.
