I changed from bread to porridge and it is the best thing I did in a long time. With oat milk and fruits it is so tasty without being unhealthy and better for the health as bread with cheese or bacon. :)

Русские завтраки: яичница (можно с докторской колбасой, по-советски)/омлет, сырники, творог (можно добавить сметану/сахар/варенье), каша (в основном, по классике-геркулес, можно гречку с молоком, манная на молоке с вареньем, пшенная с сахаром), бутерброды: с маслом, с маслом и сыром/колбасой, с сыром, плавленный сыр, творожная запеканка, какао, чай
I was astonished how few people actually had coffee for breakfast. Green tea seemed much more popular.

yes tea is very Russian, I think it is really Slavic. I love using my samovar to impress guests but I am not Russian but I am Slavic
Great video. Having the subtitles right under the Russian phrases are great. Also seeing the different people in their natural surroundings and the way they speak in their native tongue. Seeing words in a dictionary or textbook is one thing; but to see people using it in everyday context is really helpful for people like myself who are learning the language. Thank you.

I'm from the Netherlands. I don't think my breakfast is typical. But here it goes.
After waking up I usually drink some water and go for a short (10-15 minutes) walk (some morning light on the body to wake up).
Then I eat the biggest meal of the day during breakfast. Usually I eat 4 baked eggs (in coconut oil or olive oil), with some (but not much) oatmeal on top. Or sometimes with bacon or sliced mushrooms, paprica or onion. And some spices. If I am really hungry from the 8 hours night time, then I also eat a small amount of vegetables like broccoli, spinache or red cabbage. Drinking either water or milk.
If I have any lunch at all, I usually eat some fruit or bread.
And dinner, with a small amount of vedgetables and sometimes with a small piece of salmon or meat.
I prefer fish over meat, at least once a month. May be some yogurt if I am still hungry.

Fried or boiled eggs with hot dog and bread is the most common breakfast in Russia. Black tea is most popular but its also lots of coffee fans here.
I like poached eggs with toast.( It is like a fried egg but carefully placed in boiled water like a fried egg but without oil). When I was younger I ate porridge oats boiled with salt water and then a little milk added to the bowl. Special days, smoked fish with scrambled eggs and toast.
Two essential ingredients of английский завтрак . . . fried eggs and BACON! Great videos. Moscow has changed so much.
I live in Germany. My breakfast is mostly some kind of bread, something to put on the bread (mostly creme cheese), and maybe some fruit. I always have pineapple juice (not so common) and coffee

Yes when I was there I found very odd in Russia almost no one drink coffee in breakfast.

I usually have a shot of vodka immediately after I wake up, otherwise I cannot leave my bed. Then I got a shower and drink a can of beer and eat a sandwich of whatever I have in the fridge, for example tomatoes and cheese or an egg or some chicken with avocado. In the weekends I don't drink anything with alcohol and replace beer for some milk or yogurt. I really hate coffee by the way.

Лучшие, завтраки в РФ, что я ел, это: каши - геркулес, манка, пшенная и рисовая. Все на молоке. Яйцо вкрутую или яичница из него. Омлет. Бутерброд из белого хлеба с маслом и сыром. Можно и с ветчиной колбасной. Запивать соком, чаем или кефиром.

I had to go to Wikipedia to see what a "finnick" looks like. Phoenix, lol. Strange imported words for fruit and nuts.
I usually eat bread with cheese, sausage or peanut butter. Or any porridge, almost always with real milk. Sometimes leftovers from the fridge. Coffee always. A porridge is easy to make. Just mix the ingredients in a pot with a good margin and be around the stove as it boils. No need to stir continuously or heat milk or premix anything.

It's a bit difficult to explain, but when you wash a car for example, at the end you polish it. So in Russian полирнуть may mean "finishing stroke" or "the cherry on the cake" in English.

Maybe it's unseasoned, lol? Try adding salt, sugar, fruites, nuts, honey (your choice).
Thats the "healthy" undercooked kind. Add milk and cook for 15 minutes and it will be smooth and a little sweet.
I just eat mine uncooked with sugar, powdered milk and water, hot or cold.
That´s because you are not supposed to eat it raw. How could people forget how to cook oatmeal lol? It´s absolutely ridiculous trying to eat it raw, right from the bag. That would taste like saw dust, for sure. But humanity had never eaten it this way before. You are supposed to soak and boil the oats. Soak them overnight, then add water, bring it to a boil and boil gently for about 20 minutes while almost constantly stirring it with a spoon,so it doesn´t burn (it WILL burn if you leave it unattended). It´s cooked when it has that kind of thick and creamy texture, when it´s like pouring from the spoon slowly (but not watery).

These types of people are so unnatural and fake.. Compared to Europeans..and in particularly Russians, who, if they smile at you, they actually mean it!
@@joang.6664 I think it's a cultural issue. In Colombia, Brasil or Argentina for example, people smile as a courtesy gesture, has nothing to do with fakness or unnaturalness. People who are very serious and rarely smile are called "ass face".
