To answer those with questions about ROKR's music choice for this item, the tune is called, "The Carousel Waltz" (by the tremendously talented duo, Rogers & Hammerstein). The song is an intrigal piece in the musical entitled, "Carousel".
Other famous songs, such as "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "If I Loved You," are also featured in the movie.

Hi Robert. At around 1 hour 54 you are trying to push the cog parts into the disc. They are a very tight fit. Did you just end up using brute force, I can't quite see how you managed to get them to engage?
I was wiggling the piece slightly while pushing down. I don't remember using a lot of force. It's a difficult angle. The other thing you can try is to sand a slight bevel into the post that will make it allign better.
@@rgauck Thanks. Came at it in the end by angling the part so that one lug engaged, then shoved the other side in. Seemed to do the trick :)
I just got to the point where I’m supposed to put e1 (seemingly a really small piece) to connect C4and B16 and I was wondering where you got the e1 pieces . I could t find them anywhere.
I reviewed my original footage. The e1, lower case, is inside the arch of the E1, upper case. The e1, lower case, is the small pieces your looking for. I also noticed my sections were incorrect so I corrected that as well. I also have spare e1's should you need them, please email me if you do. Hey there @rgauck when you say inside the arch could you like explan more? For my E sheet it's very small and I can't seem to find an E1 part
at 1:06:03 (section 3) I’m having trouble sticking the center pieces’ pegs into the base where those six slots are… what’d you do? I’ve thought about sanding/gluing them in somehow. I’ve tried just about everything.
I watched the section you mentioned above and it was not easy. Sand a small bevel into the edge of the pegs. You could place a small amout of wax on th pegs to reduce friction.

Hi Robert. I'm putting one of these together for my mom. I'm at the point where I just installed the horses and the gears to move them. When I test it, the carousel keeps catching and I have to tap it to get it going again. Can you tell me how to fix that?
These are the items I would look at. Check to make sure piece D1 in section 4 has enough wax on the cogs and the bottom of the gear. Change parts F6, F11, F9 and D6 in Section 5 are waxed and rotating smoothly. Check to see that the horses are staggered when being lifted. This is controlled by the position of F6 when the horse is installed in section 5 frame 5/6. Also you might want to check that C5 from section 1 has enough wax on the bottom. Let me know if this helps.

for the last steps where we insert the b17 n c9 pieces all around the top area of the carousel, is it supposed to be tilted at an angle so that the b17 doesn't fully go in to the opening? thank you
The B17 pieces are tilted, so they may not sit flush against D4, see section 4 for this piece. While they are not seated very well mine have not fallen out.
Did you solve the issue of the loose center piece around 1:08?
The piece your referring to I believe is D10 which is installed in section 3. In section 4, D10 hangs from D4 using several F5's. D10, D4 and F5 rotate inside the Carousel. See 1:35:16
I bought the romantic carousel but apparently there is no wax inside due to the policies in international shipping. Is it doable if i dont use wax at all?
I would recommend using wax. Candle wax should work.
Time to start scraping those ears out for earwax. Could not resist sorry.🙂
I just got to the part where I finish putting in the horses and the carousel stopped running smoothly, anything that you would recommend to fix it?
I would make sure the pieces in Section 4 and Section 5 are sanded and waxed as indicated. Section 5.2 and 5.3 can offer some resistance if not well waxed.
Help I findD5 doesn’t leave enough room to attach D1 any tip would be very welcome thank you
It appears as though the inner cutout of D4 slide against the out edge of D5 meaning they are in the same plane. It appears as though part D1 attaches to the 6 A6's. I think I would check to make sure A12 and A14 are installed in the proper position, Section 2. In Section 3 make sure assembly 1 is installed properly with respect to assembly 2. Please let me know if this does not help. I will disassemble my Carousel to see if I can be of more assistance.
I cannot get section 2 A14A12A3 together with the D2 and D3 . The opening are to wide and they will not click in. What am I doing wrong. You put it together so easily.
The parts D2 and D3 are not held in place firmly due to the angle between D2/D3 and the A3 pieces. When you install the 6 A15's that should help establish the spacing for the installation of the D2/D3 pieces. I can envision the A3 pieces would be to far apart if the A3 pieces are not fully inserted into A14 and A12.

You should be able to use candle wax.
Hi i incorrectly put p7 on the top plastic bit( can't get it off) any ideas on how to rectify this
Have a look the this video. It is for a different puzzle, however the tool seems like it would helpful. There seems to be a gap between P7 and the music box. The tool might fit between in the gapm then slide the tool onto the flat surfaces. That should prevent the musicbox from spinning and the part should be removeable.

Mine doesn’t rotate smoothly
Mine does not rotate as smoothly as I would like. I think it’s important that the sanding and waxing of the parts they specify get said treatment. The Carousel has a lot of moving parts and therefore a lot of friction points. Do all the horses move up and down at the same time or is that motion staggered? @@rgauck Thanks for the reply, the thing is, it actually doesn’t rotate at all when I wind it up, I don’t have the horses yet I’m a the part where they say make sure everything rotates smoothly, well mine doesn’t rotate at all, it only rotates when I touch it :(
So, it's binding somewhere. My suggestion would be to make sure A11 is smooth on its outer edge, lightly sand and wax the bottom of assembly T1 (Section1 middle of bottom frame). Make sure C5 and A10 run smoothly against each other (Section1 middle of bottom frame). Lightly sand and wax the bottom of D1 (Section 4 last from of first row).

@@rgauck My gear don't spin smoothly sir, even though i already give it wax, sound like, "tik...tik..tik" and the sound in the end is like "Krekkk".
Did you happen to check gear function as you went along? If you did, where was the last successful test? Do the horses move up and down at all? Does T1 rotate at all? T1 can be found in section 1 at the bottom of the first page middle frame.
The tune just makes me cringe and it soon repeats causing a grinding of your teeth. What is the tune and why did they think it would be nice for the carousel.
Thank you for your comment and I understand your point. I try to choose more up beat music now and the music volume is lower. My latest videos I try to talk about what I am doing in the video. Its a learning process, I try to make the videos better as I figure out what works and what does not. The name of the song is Maestro Tlakaelel.

Hey Judy there isn’t any need to be rude, you could just simply turn off the volume if you dislike the music, or by giving nice polite feedback, rudeness doesn’t help with anything and makes a big fool of yourself.
@@XianShan I'm in my 70s and through life I have found that people who say you shouldn't be rude can be really rude. Example: When my mother past away, a few weeks later I joined some people for dinner. I informed them that my mother passed. The husband sympathized. The wife said, well, at least you had your mother longer than I had mine. This woman was always calling others RUDE. She is the rudest person I know. So when someone calls me rude, I take it with a grain of salt because they can be so rude and not know it. I'm sure you have never been rude though.😇😇😇😇 Actually, I didn't say it to be rude and I did turn it down. I had a video store with a real carousel for the children. The music was happy music. Music can set the mood.
