I am happy you're covering this now. Here is my question: one of my clients doesn't know or remember his Analytics credentials so I dont have access to it. What should I do? Is there a way to gain access to his Analytics or should I create a new one?
IF I may say...I wouldn't probably ever abandon a conversion source that isn't doing as good I would just try to figure out how to make the lesser performing conversion sources do better rather then just abandoning them all together. You still want to try to have as many different successful conversion sources as possible not just focus on the best one. For example if my facebook account is my best conversion source I STILL want to work on my second and third conversion sources to make them better and not just ignore them. In the example of you voucher maybe you want to figure out how to improve your Facebook results rather than just abandoning it...if you can greatly improve it NOW you have two sources of very good conversion and not just one if you can work to improve three or four other sources you've got all of those working very well for you at all times now.

@@rankingacademy I'm wanting to track multiple sites that are mostly shared domains. I need to learn where, and how to properly install the coding on each of them. I'm always up for new challenges, and while this isn't exactly my cup of tea, it's got to be done.
Not sure what you mean exactly by shared domains. If you are trying to track multiple sites you should install tracking codes separately using the Google verification process which is very simple. If you are using subdomains from a main domain the tacking code can be the same. Installing the code will depend very much on what the sites are built on. If you use wordpress then it's super simple. Not sure if this is helpful as I don't have enough info to fully answer your question

I've searched through some forums, and the common answer seems to be I'm trying to do the impossible. Most social medias do have analysis within the apps or sites, which is great - So I'm not as impatient. I've succeeded with SEO in some areas, and it's really awesome seeing those results despite having learned some lessons the hard way in the process. Taking a step back from all the new information, I've been able to do some planning. All the knowledge that can be readily attained by videos such as yours, and others is much appreciated, it's time to start giving back in the comments :) Happy New Year's!

I've watched the whole video and thanks for laying it out on laymans terms. Something doesn't make sense to me. You've highlighted "dog-walking" as the page with the highest bounce rate around 15:08, but at 29:44-29:58 it shows that this same page has the highest avg time spent and is the "most interesting". How can it have the highest bounce rate when it's also the page where most users spend time on?????? I'm confused.
Hi Marvin. Thanks very much for your input. In answer to your question, these figures aren't incompatible. Although there is a high bounce rate, visitors who stick with it tend to spend a long time on it. This makes sense as it is a very long article page. Hope this answers your question.

Probably the best damn video I've seen that actually explains analytics in straightforward terms I understand. A wonderful breakdown of Google Analytics -- entertaining and insightful. On a side point, I fully agree with 365 Black's comments about why this should be part of film school (or any education system nowadays) curriculum.
I would argue that a low average page view number and session time is not necessarily a bad sign, as you could have customers seeing an ad and just go ahead for the purchase. It's of course not applicable to all websites, but you should still look at your conversion rate. Low number don't always mean a bad website. Nice video though!

Thanks for your feedback victor. I agree with you. The nature of a the page will clearly play a part and data can be interpreted in many ways. But if your conversion rate is low on a converting page then i would definitely worry.

I made my first call only campaign in Google Ads and now I would like to have the calls from the campaign set as goals in Google Analytics. While searching for the answer I only come across explanations about calls from the company website, but so far I have nothing on tracking calls directly from the paid ad. Thank you in advance!
