I study tropical Vedic astrology and Harris’ chart is very powerful. It’s a great practice to integrate divisional charts to get the whole picture of dignity. It’s not just based on Rasi chart placements only. Gemini is about exploration and experimentation, not instability. It also integrates the masculine and feminine. The ruler of her ASC in the 6th shows that her mission is one of service, law and overcoming enemies. Very strong placement. Her Atmakaraka is Saturn in Aquarius which is In moolatrikona which makes her soul mission very strong in this lifetime. It being close to and basically on the MC brings forth a strong obligation to rule the people. Saturn rules the people with patience and endurance. The MC is our outer obligation to the world and karmas in this lifetime. The fact that she was selected for this position says more about the USA (by way of the Sibley chart) and the state it is currently in than it does about her personally. She is definitely in the right place at the time, but it is more akin to the old film “Being There” with Peter Sellers. If you haven’t seen it I recommend watching as it is a very good description of how US Presidents are chosen 🙏🏻 An additional thought - visibility does not equal success, although it will thrust her onto a wider stage. If Kamala wins, which I pray she does, she's taking the reigns just as Neptune moves into Aries. From my understanding, that brings in collective themes of self identity. She'll lead the charge in helping us explore who we want to be as a nation and individually. On a personal note, I learned about narcissism from Trump, and while I am no fan of that man, he helped start my healing journey and take on breaking the chains of generational trauma. Clearly, his leadership style was needed to clear the deadwood before we make these amazing changes with pluto moving into Aquarius. I'm looking forward to that!
Wow! I love your reading of Harris's chart in Vedic astrology. Many astrologers don't have Trump's real birth time. Denise Knight has been using 10:55 a.m. but think it's earlier than that. She based the time on his past transits. She also said that he was not going to win even though he has a very lucky chart. What he is going to run into is his karma. Thank you for your perspective. It fits how I see Kamala Harris. Trump is definitely not a leader. He's a showman who is a malignant narcissist and a bully.

The upcoming eclipse in Pisces feels like a game-changer for me. Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars squaring and the full moon in Aquarius affecting my natal moon in Aquarius 14 degree, indeed. Relocation/Immigration visa issue is the matter now which has been pending since May 2023!

Susan, we must have really similar charts. Transiting Neptune is on my natal Mercury and I'm having my 2nd Saturn return with my Jupiter return in Gemini as well. A little apprehensive about it all.
Susan, you mention that Leo is here to learn to be their own leader, and I feel this. But what about when your North node is in Libra? In general, which would be the stronger force? (I have the additional complication of my sun in aquarius directly opposing my ascendant, which makes this balancing act extra tricky!)
It’s indeed a balancing act (very Libra!). NN in Libra suggest a need to find yourself via relationships, justice, harmony, without sublimating yourself. Aries SN can require lessons in impulsiveness and hyper-independence or even selfishness, so relating can be difficult but it’s where the fulfilment comes from 🙏🏻

Thank you, Susan! Saturn equals winter and Jupiter equals spring. I love winter, so I don't find it frightening. Nature teaches us about decay and falling asleep. During winter, nature gathers its strength to go full force in spring. This is not to romanticize the pain of letting go, or the fears that sometimes come with focusing on what's essential. I have been utterly lonely at times since Saturn has entered my 7th house. However, I'm learning to leave the people who aren't a match, and to have a healthy understanding of where I am with people. Not everyone is meant to have deep and intimate talks with. I'm trying to figure out who belongs where. I'm embarking on a long-term coaching program to prepare for a new career path (this is Jupiter in 10h), but I've also come to recognize the importance of addressing my emotional needs. I've realized that a loving partner and good friends are essential for me for a healthy quality of life. I'm really hoping that Saturn will help me to connect with a loving partner and good friends. That's why I also got a therapist on board. I've found the perfect amount of frustration to fuel some big changes in my life. I'm not too down to feel defeated and powerless, but also not too content to stick with the status quo.

If a natal planet is in detriment or fall, it seems like the domino that knocks down everything else in the chart the way it’s being described. Jupiter in Gemini would knock out planets in Pisces And Sag and those planets would affect the planets in the houses they rule etc. So is there one planet that has more of an effect in a chart than all the others? Where does it begin? Also, if all of your planets are not really working for you because of this, are you always looking at a difficult life in any situation regardless of the position of the transiting planets because of the natal chart? If so.. why bother ? It feels like doom.
No, this is a misunderstanding of the planetary dignities. There is no doom, it just means there is likely to be a less straightforward path to achieving the goal of the planet, and in some cases of debilitation it can show that there is something unfortunate or even criminal. If the ascendant ruler is debilitated or otherwise afflicted the native will need to learn how to overcome personal difficulties that may range from a difficult childhood to a challenging personality. This debilitation can make a person work harder towards their goals, and in some cases may make them give up on trying. It depends on the person. But if the task is to become a leader or a communicator, the planets should be in strong houses, have dignity, and supportive aspects. I don’t see that in the chart of KH, which doesn’t mean she can’t be elected. It just means she will make a poor president based on the natal promise of the chart🙏🏻
This was all so fascinating regarding Kamala Harris’ chart. I feel for her also with these transits, having had some very very difficult transits myself the last few years. I don’t know enough about her politically so this is also not a political comment. If she was a stranger, whose chart was chosen in an Astrology class, we would feel for the person’s transiting chart. As I said, I don’t know anything about her politically, however she seems like a kind person, as a person.

Additionally (modernity aside), Aquarius has ♊ elemental benefits that Virgo lacks and its fixed modality provides Mercury with the discipline Virgo offers (and Gemini lacks) in earth. Virgo has the advantage over Gemini in its grounded practicality but Air is where Mercury thrives and gets support (exaltation) from Saturn-ruled Aquarius. Like I said in my previous message, Mercury's dignified in Virgo not Gemini for reasons all astrologers I've vetted agree on. However, Uranian energy in the thought and intellect is more powerful. That's the connection I made between those two planets. I don't know of any modern astrologers who exalt Mercury in Virgo (so far it's only Vedic/traditional astrologers that proclaim it's Virgo - hence your original reply). If any astrologers are practicing modern astrology who exalt Virgo over Aquarius, I would love to hear/read their analysis.
I am shocked at your view on Vice President Harris. This is the articulate prosecutor Attorney General of California then senator, now US Vice President who was one of the few assertive voices when questioning Judge Kavanaugh before being accepted in the role. And also the same woman who has moments of assertively telling Mike Pence she's speaking to continue making her point. I don't know what you refer to in terms of Harris answering questions or being subpar. I find your "friend" Trump is subpar in humanity and narrative as well as debating abilities never mind his inability to tell the truth. No doubt Harris will endure difficult times being a woman of color being a presidency candidate. I don't think that defines who will win the November election though. Having said that I don't agree with her in some very important matters but anything would be better than a criminal like Trump going back to office. You might tell relationships are difficult for Vice President Harris by certain astrological positions of her chart. But saying it's because she married at 50 is ridiculous. She might not have wanted to get married until then or there were other reasons. Not everyone wants to get married or have higher standards in terms of a partner they'd marry.

Do you have any recent examples of her clear communication? Please demonstrate your arguments through the natal chart rather than ad hominem attacks. It’s indeed a balancing act (very Libra!). NN in Libra suggest a need to find yourself via relationships, justice, harmony, without sublimating yourself. Aries SN can require lessons in impulsiveness and hyper-independence or even selfishness, so relating can be difficult but it’s where the fulfilment comes from 🙏🏻

Saturn equals winter and Jupiter equals spring. I love winter, so I don't find it frightening. Nature teaches us about decay and falling asleep. During winter, nature gathers its strength to go full force in spring. This is not to romanticize the pain of letting go, or the fears that sometimes come with focusing on what's essential. I have been utterly lonely at times since Saturn has entered my 7th house. However, I'm learning to leave the people who aren't a match, and to have a healthy understanding of where I am with people. Not everyone is meant to have deep and intimate talks with. I'm trying to figure out who belongs where.
I'm embarking on a long-term coaching program to prepare for a new career path (this is Jupiter in 10h), but I've also come to recognize the importance of addressing my emotional needs. I've realized that a loving partner and good friends are essential for me for a healthy quality of life. I'm really hoping that Saturn will help me to connect with a loving partner and good friends. That's why I also got a therapist on board.
I've found the perfect amount of frustration to fuel some big changes in my life. I'm not too down to feel defeated and powerless, but also not too content to stick with the status quo.

Please please do not stop your mundane astrology interpretations Susan! It is one of the things that differentiates you from the rest of the astrology world. You are the only mundane astrologer with the objectivity and necessary background in international politics. If a natal planet is in detriment or fall, it seems like the domino that knocks down everything else in the chart the way it’s being described. Jupiter in Gemini would knock out planets in Pisces And Sag and those planets would affect the planets in the houses they rule etc. So is there one planet that has more of an effect in a chart than all
the others? Where does it begin? Also, if all of your planets are not really working for you because of this, are you always looking at a difficult life in any situation regardless of the position of the transiting planets because of the natal chart? If so.. why bother ? It feels like doom.
No, this is a misunderstanding of the planetary dignities. There is no doom, it just means there is likely to be a less straightforward path to achieving the goal of the planet, and in some cases of debilitation it can show that there is something unfortunate or even criminal. If the ascendant ruler is debilitated or otherwise afflicted the native will need to learn how to overcome personal difficulties that may range from a difficult childhood to a challenging personality. This debilitation can make a person work harder towards their goals, and in some cases may make them give up on trying. It depends on the person. But if the task is to become a leader or a communicator, the planets should be in strong houses, have dignity, and supportive aspects. I don’t see that in the chart of KH, which doesn’t mean she can’t be elected. It just means she will make a poor president based on the natal promise of the chart🙏🏻

This was all so fascinating regarding Kamala Harris’ chart. I feel for her also with these transits, having had some very very difficult transits myself the last few years. I don’t know enough about her politically so this is also not a political comment. If she was a stranger, whose chart was chosen in an Astrology class, we would feel for the person’s transiting chart. As I said, I don’t know anything about her politically, however she seems like a kind person, as a person.

However, putting Uranus back into the equation, I definitely see (and live) Uranus’ influence on Aquarius as its co-ruler and the higher octave of Mercury. Additionally (modernity aside), Aquarius has ♊ elemental benefits that Virgo lacks and its fixed modality provides Mercury with the discipline Virgo offers (and Gemini lacks) in earth. Virgo has the advantage over Gemini in its grounded practicality but Air is where Mercury thrives and gets support (exaltation) from Saturn-ruled Aquarius.

Like I said in my previous message, Mercury's dignified in Virgo not Gemini for reasons all astrologers I've vetted agree on. However, Uranian energy in the thought and intellect is more powerful. That's the connection I made between those two planets. I don't know of any modern astrologers who exalt Mercury in Virgo (so far it's only Vedic/traditional astrologers that proclaim it's Virgo - hence your original reply). If any astrologers are practicing modern astrology who exalt Virgo over Aquarius, I would love to hear/read their analysis.

I am shocked at your view on Vice President Harris. This is the articulate prosecutor Attorney General of California then senator, now US Vice President who was one of the few assertive voices when questioning Judge Kavanaugh before being accepted in the role. And also the same woman who has moments of assertively telling Mike Pence she's speaking to continue making her point. I don't know what you refer to in terms of Harris answering questions or being subpar. I find your "friend" Trump is subpar in humanity and narrative as well as debating abilities never mind his inability to tell the truth. No doubt Harris will endure difficult times being a woman of color being a presidency candidate. I don't think that defines who will win the November election though. Having said that I don't agree with her in some very important matters but anything would be better than a criminal like Trump going back to office. You might tell relationships are difficult for Vice President Harris by certain astrological positions of her chart. But saying it's because she married at 50 is ridiculous. She might not have wanted to get married until then or there were other reasons. Not everyone wants to get married or have higher standards in terms of a partner they'd marry.
This is not about my political views, as I struggled to communicate several times. Show me in the natal chart where she is a strong communicator. Do you have any recent examples of her clear communication?
