These are great blankets. I am a beginner and have knitted 18 blankets so far. They all get donated to the County hospital here in Los Angeles for the new born babies. I love to make these blankets. Thank you Diana for this great blanket idea.
What a lovely demonstration, Diana. Thanks for your generosity in sharing your knowledge. I’m quite amazed at that worm edge, it’s perfect to prevent the edges rolling up.
I was just given an old Knitking bulky machine and am having the best time learning to machine knit. Your videos are the best! Your voice is clear and pleasant and each video is useful and informative- and fun! I cannot wait to try this circular baby blanket.
Diane, this baby blanket is perfectly lovely and so are you! Your explanation is so concise and your voice is very calming. Thank you for taking the time to post this excellent tutorial. I will definitely make this for a gift for a new baby.
Perfect timing, and thank you Diana. I was looking for something different to make for baby blankets. I have many friends who are becoming grandparents this year and looking for something different.
Hi Diane, I'm new to machine knitting and I love your videos. This baby blanket is lovely. Your tutorial is easy to follow and I can't wait to start knitting this blanket. Thank you so much. Lindsay
Thank you for your videos! I've had my machine for several years and I finally have time to work with it. I'm working on the Ultimate Sweater Machine to do this. When I put the needles in "hold", some end up with more yarn over them as I proceed. What should I do with those? Should I stop short of those needles? Thanks again for your helpful and enjoyable videos and instructions!!!
I am not sure what's happening with your USM. They might be normal yarn wraps when you pull a needle on the carriage side, (no wrap on the opposite side is normal), or you might have a problem. I'd say make a swatch and see how it looks.
Thank you Diana for another inspirational video. As the project took a skein and a half of each colour, please could you advise what brand of yarn and the skein weight you used, to give an idea of how much yarn is required? Kindest regards
I'd recomend messing with the pattern but focusing on that side edge at 6:11 before sewing to figure out the measurements for the hips. Maybe beginging with a larger number of sts and decreasing evenly to mimic the hole for a skirt.
It is lovely. I do love the colors but it looks acrylic and I am adamant that we must take responsibility for using these plastic yarns that shed their micro plastics into the wash and end up killing waterlife and now in the air affecrting us as well! These yarns are just not sustainable. There are so many beautiful natural fiber alternatives that are suitable now. However I love the idea of a round baby blanket . But I could never figure out how the triangles work . I understand the decreases from many stitches to a single stitch but could not make sense of how the triangles join. Somehow I had it in my head that the triangles were made as they look top down instead of sideways . So watching it again till it clicked I finally made sense of it . Oh yes I do love that worm edging . So then I will adapt thetriaangles to the circular sock knitting machine. I want to make a tam. There is a tam oshanter pattern that I will try with these longditudinal triangles now that it makes more sense.! I did watch your video on making such a tam but it was too busy with the yarn colors to follow so seeing it done this way makes more sense . So if I master the tam oshanter on the csm will attempt a circular baby shawl with one triangle in stockinette and one in lace . Thanks for the video and sharing it with us. I love your videos .
Thanks, I hope you enjoy the pattern. Lacy baby blankets are very popular to make but I do not design them because babies' fingers and toes can get caught in the holes.
Lovely baby blanket. What is the name of the yarn? Can this be use in a standard knitting machine? I am getting back into machine knitting after putting away for too long. I feel I am starting from scratch.
I do not recall the brand name of this yarn. I haven't seen it in the stores for a while. I believe with your machine you need a group 2 yarn, and this would be too thick.

OBRIGADA 💐
Hi. Great video. When I take more or less stitches Will that change also the number of sections?

Is there a way to modify this a bit to turn it into a christmas tree skirt?

How many hooks did you use

Super!!! Thank you!
I have a Singer 700. I am just starting to work with it again. Any advice as to how to do this project on it?
👏 MUITO BOM 👏
This is gorgeous, Diana! Thank you so much. Question: Would it be workable doing this in garter stitch (with the help of a garter bar of course)?
I do not think it would be practical.
@@dianaknits Yep - that's I thought. Thanks for answering! :-) Have a great day!
Thank you .
Very nice with a new subscriber
You are good teacher. Kindly post the video of adult puncho please. Thanks and regards
I have to do this!
I love your videos. It's there an in-between size of this blanket. I looked at your other video that used 50 stitches. Can I do 70?
Yes.
Thank you for responding. I think I asked the same question on your small blanket video. Would it be 10 or 12 triangles?
The number of triangles should not change.
How much yarn is required by weight please? I’m not sure what a skein and a half means. Thanks.
This is not a large blanket. It took about 10 ounces of group 3 yarn, I believe.
Lovely baby blanket. What is the name of the yarn? Can this be use in a standard knitting machine? I am getting back into machine knitting after putting away for too long. I feel I am starting from scratch.

Can this blanket me made on a standard gauge machine and if yes, how many stitches etc will be used?
Like 80 or 90 stitches each sides
Is there any reason I can't cast on more stitches for a bigger blanket and get the same effect?
Yes, you can adjust the size by changing the number of stitches to cast on.
This is baby blanket sized.
I have LK 150
Did you put the worm trim on the public side (knit) side? Thanks.
