Love how it’s not cramped up with fish like green aqua does. Just enough fish for the tank👌🏿

You know a shop sometimes needs to pack a bit more just to bring attention and to sell them, it's quite normal... And some fish feel a lot better in bigger numbers than just a few. The Costae are still growing and I couldn't have too much even in a 180x80x60cm tank.
We need to have a good balance and not overstock, otherwise would be very difficult to keep booth (fish and plants) healthy.

Filipe, your style is one of the most impressive of any aquascaper. I love the thin substrate near the glass, gradually getting bigger as it goes. The use of the graded gravel size really sets a natural aesthetic. The plant choice and growth in this tank is chaotic, but organized in such a way as only nature could make it. An incredible skill that you possess. My sincerest congratulations on another winner. And a great choice in fish, I feel that pencil fish are very underrated. Take care.

Thank you Phil. This layout is a bit different from what I usually do. It's more on the Wabi-sabi style and more nature related than human touched where we clearly see where some plants will start and finish. Blending some similar shaped plants are the key and by letting others just grow we can create that wild but still controlled chaos.
I'm pretty sure fish are really happy in this one and this is why they are already breeding. 😉

Stunning Filipe! Did not realize the 80cm deepness until you started to move around with the cam. What a great size to play with! Love the full green theme! - Viktor

      Hi Viktor!
Yes, definitely. You know our tanks must be ready to be used for 4 sides view, this is why we have decided to go with this measure. But since we don't intend to move this one unless it's really, I have decided to take advantage of the 80cm depth. It makes a huge difference 😉👌

Would be difficult but not impossible. You just need to be sure we can move a forklift inside of your home. If you need to carry it in hands, you will need a bunch of strong guys to move it. 😉
I mean a lot... Empty we were 6 just to put it on the cabinet.

Alles top!! 👌

I don’t know how you do it, but this has this magical balance. The fish, the plants, and the hardscape just come together as if they were created to go together! I can’t even explain hoW I feel about it! I could watch this for hours and hours. Thank you 🙏

    • @FAAOAquascaping

Thanks a lot! Experience turn it a bit easy. Then the secret is to let it go without touching too much. Let nature take its own time and let plants grow as they want without disturbing the balance.
Sometimes the more we touch, the worse it is.

It's really an outstanding tank. It's grown in so well! I'll tell you the most interesting part according to me. It's the right side where the Lileopsis carpet is nice and green and the vallisnaria are giving some shade and fishes are playing in that area. All that is visible from between the driftwood in front.
That's totally heavenly! 🙏 Thank you for making us enjoy aquascaping so much! It's a true beauty!

Thank you. I have decided to go a bit wild and not so human touched. I think in this way looks more natural and and fish are far away better and less scared when we need to do any maintenance.

@@FAAOAquascaping that's the best style. Kind of wabi-sabi feeling to it.
It almost creates an enclosure or a different world behind that wood piece where the fishes are having a party...they are indeed very very happy there...

Hi Filipe, how did you skip the blackening of the Java Fern Phase? Arent they always emersed grown and when you put them in your tank they try to adapt and turn brown

    • @FAAOAquascaping
      @FAAOAquascaping  2 роки тому

Hi Jordan, not really... The ferns that turn brown are usually old leaves, leaves that are out of the rizhome, contaminated or damaged rizhome by the way you place it in the tank by don't let it breath (buried in tbe soil or some hole where the rizhome can't simply grow).
Microsorums in general do well submerged and even emersed since we keep them with moist and they are always green. If it's turning brown is because something wrong is happening to it.
