Akane Minato, the vocalist, was the main singer for 11 years in the adult idol group Predia before they disbanded in 2022. She's done a few minor side projects over the years, but she's also done a large number of vocal covers on UA-cam. She's always been an amazing singer, but until now she's been restrained by having to sing with other people. Now that she's the lead vocalist in a rock band, she's free to show the world what an amazing talent she truly is.
Here’s a fun fact for you East of Eden is assigned to the same record label as LOVEBITES (Victor Entertainment) and since this bands drummer is also is a member of the band Lonesome Blue (Victor Entertainment) {also another great Japanese female band) it’s reasonably easy to say that the record label definitely knows talent when they see it. So yeah as a big LOVEBITES fan this band has all the tools to be a very successful band.
This is one my new favorite bands. It's a brand new band; they released their first song in August. It's also a super band since they all are in other bands or projects. Ayasa, the violin player, put the band together. They are all great musicians, but my favorite is Wakazaemon, the base player. This tiny little woman, with a bass that's nearly as tall as she is, never stops moving. She definitely has some skills because Mary Friedman picked her to be his bassist on his world tours. Just an excellent band with a fresh new sound. I recommend that you watch their song "Evolve" next.
The guitar solo is so good and well put together that I'd wish to last forever. Is so short though but damn so well delivered and so cleverly placed! I love Yuki! Didn't know she has an online shop, Yuki’s Blue Roses, where she designs and sells merchandise and handmade accessories. And Ayasa (the fiddler :-D) omg don't have word to describe how awesome she is. I think she is the boss in that band as she personally recruited all the members of this super talented band. I wish them luck and success!
Just an added info, Ayasa (violin) is the one who formed the band. She is a prodigy musician from an early age. She is also a member of the band Morfonica of the BanG Dream Bandori group owned by Bushiroad. They are one of nine (I think) live groups formed by them. What they are is that all the members of each nine bands are the actual voice actors of the anime and mobile games - each band has its own anime and game franchise per its name. So, the concept is that your favorite anime characters and or mobile game characters are live members of actual bands. Yeah, it's very Japanese thing. BangG Dream concerts draw huge crowds, like into tens of thousands and regularly fill arenas. Morfonica, along with Raise a Suilen and Roselia, are the big three with actual band members who are extremely competent musicians and also voice actors. So, Ayasa is a pretty famous musician who is also an idol. My favorite among them is Raise a Suilen. They are a fantastic hard rock/pop band. They can absolutely go head to head with any western hard rock/pop bands.
Love this song and band! the talent is top tier, but they are a super group so kinda expect that. Love how these ladies in Japan work with each other not as rivals but as friends.
Good informative reaction. Like all the tracks they have done so far. I knew of some of the members for a few years. Been following the guitarist Yuki of the instrumental band D_DRIVE for a while now as she is very talented. Love the bass by Wakazaemon, who is Marty Friedman's bassist recently and done tours with him recently. Fiddle (as a Scot that's what I would call the instrument as well) added an extra something to this as did the vocals. The vocalist used to sing in a group with Kanami and Akane.(of Band-Maid) called Mochi to Cheese pre Band-Maid days. and as someone mentioned the drummer is with Lonesome Blue. Happy to see Yuki playing with such as great band with good vocalist. Might get her more exposure overseas, as it would be harder for an instrumental band to get really big

The "fiddle" is a custom--built five-string electric violin.

They owned the back end of 2023, and 2024 is going to be a year to cement that phenomenal start.
May I suggest you start with their debut "East Of Eden - Evolve [Extended Version] Official Music Video"?

I agree about their individual talent. But supergroups sometimes fail, but not this one, for sure.
