- West Town Mall, the Knoxville Powerhouse spearheaded by Simon. Things are looking pretty rough today, but I am sure the West Town Mall will shrug things off.

I frequent that Mall alot. I live in Knoxville. It's a nice Mall and still thriving. They also did some upgrades to it.
Aaand I've just found what I'm watching this evening :)
Good mall video. Thanks.
Awesome video Doomie keep up the work and stay safe out here in this virus.
The Men's Belk corridor is the best designed spot in the mall that wasn't heavily bleached. Bonus points for the FYE and Radio Shack together in that same corridor. Other than that, this is a super bland mall.
Funny you mentioned an SNES Classic, I started a game on The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past, yesterday for the first time in years. Before I knew it, I had completed the light world. I have the SNES classic mini, but I use the Nintendo Switch from time to time with their online membership classics. I love the classics, especially from the SNES and Genesis era.
currently watching at 4 am missing this so much
What? I was waiting for the 2nd investigation of a refrigerator ! Lol
Doomie, I love all of your videos.
Rip East town mall
But yes west town mall
Top stuff Doomie 👍
I remember when Claire's was Aladdin's Castle. We used to enter the mall at the Walgreens/Baskin Robbins entrance. I also remember seeing many a movie at the original theater outside the mall. The food court then consisted of Chick-fil-A, Corn Dog 7, Petros, and Frank N Stein. There was more, but I don't remember the names.
This was my go-to mall for the entire time that I was in Knoxville. Little surprised how the mall is looking. Turkey Creek, a few miles to the West, has always been hard competition with the mall but are both powerhouses.
I know the Belk Women store apparently had a basement level but it's blocked off.
As far a looks Knoxville Center, formality East Towne Mall looked better before and after the remodel the use of color made it look better and it was themed to East Tennessee it was formerly a Simon Mall built by them in 1984
There's a West Towne Mall in Madison, Wisconsin. It opened two years before Knoxville's did. Corey.
West Town Mall is still alive and thriving. All five anchors are open and more than 95% of the stores are occupied. It gets crowded during the weekends. You were just there on an off day. It prevailed during the pandemic. I know because I've been there recently. You may not like what Simon has done to the place, but I do. The only thing I miss is a water feature where LoveSac is, but I love the plain white because it goes with any decoration they put up.
Just an interesting fact the west town mall in Knoxville was not owned by the Simon property group until it merged with the original owners in 1996 and became fully owned by Simon property group in 1998
I'm going there tomorrow
I feel like when we look back, the general aesthetic of the late 2010's and early 2020's will be white and grey. If something's not white, it's probably dark grey. Check out your recent remodeled McDonald's. It's a dark grey, right? Hell, even my Target added in a lot of grey coloring.
Been there a couple times in the 90s. Once was a Saturday so while shopping got to hear the stores broadcast the TN Vols football game vs Florida hehe. Also the first mall I ever went to either a Babbages or Egghead in. Think it was an Egghead.
My 👀 are watering from all that bleach!
There wuzz sum purty gurls wanderin' 'round that there maul, Doomster...! I'm sorry, butt there wuzz!!
I love both of the malls but now only one mall
Madison WI also has an East Town and a West Town.
Despite how...white this mall is. I think I would actually hang out here. They have a lot of food places to try, and even some stores I'd go into like FYE. And a Radio Shack!? Dang, nostalgia flashback...I thought they were all gone.
It looks more white than it did when I was last. Ugh, hate the sterile look.
best hangout spot wver
Did they get rid of the pool and fountain by WIlliams-Sonoma?
This mall has a Sneaker Boutique and a Dicks House Of Sports that have completely revived it
So so mall. For someone who has lived in several cities this mall is tad above average.
East Town’s living sister. Seems like it’s just like Southridge in Milwaukee.
People fuss about prices, a mall is where u pay top dollar for something worth half
Simon Malls look like Star Trek malls🤭
RADIO SHACK LIVES!!!
The mall looked to sterile
What about the Bradley Square in Cleveland TN
We'll come to that one soon in the backlog

September 2019
I use to like West Town Mall. Not so much now. It got old. Or I did.
This reminds me of Stranger things I’ve been to this mall a couple times

Have you been to Rivergate Mall in Goodlettsville, TN?
