We all look up to Disney Channel stars. Their lives look so amazing and lavish. The fame, the fortune, what more could they ask for? But is being a Disney Channel darling really all that it’s cracked up to be? Here is the true story of What It’s Like to Be a Disney Channel Star.
For some actors and actresses, being on the channel gave them body issues. Raven Symoné was told that she was too fat to tour when she first started out in her Disney music career. Demi Lovato already had body image problems before signing on for “Camp Rock,” but they only intensified during her time with Disney.
For other stars, the ride is quite lonely. People often confuse stars for their characters and believe that the actor or actress should be just like their character in real life. Hilary Duff revealed that even years later people still call her Lizzie McGuire and Ross Lynch said that people always think they know him before they meet him because of his character in “Austin & Ally,” which doesn’t allow you to build real friendships.
For others, life as a Disney star has been a necessary step in building their career. Debby Ryan said that Disney has been very supportive of her and helped her to grow in her career. Zendaya has also had the same experience and because of it has grown to produce a show.

I know not everyone likes to read through things like that especially as a kid, but for those who choose not to read through it, they're not aware of what they're getting themselves into. So in my opinion, it doesn't matter how long something might be, but everyone should read through it before signing. This goes for everyone where they should know what they're signing and by skimming through it, most don't really know what they're signing.

No, they can't just "act respectfully out in public" they are told who they are at such a young age. When they are seen outside, they are assumed to be this perfect person who makes no mistakes, and are assumed to be the same as their character. Legit, I have seen comments say "omg this star changed so much they used to be so innocent now they curse" when they are 22 years old. They can't grow up normally because everyone is watching them. "Not drink too much" lol if they drink at all they are bashed on. If they make one mistake, the media goes crazy.

I think is silly to believe that just because Disney is for children that everything is going to be great. Disney is a business like any other business. And, like any business, they have an image to maintain. That’s why they ask so much from the children they hire-again, it’s business. The children that are complaining about their experience with Disney shouldn’t be blaming Disney but their parents. It’s not like Disney forced them and their parents to sign anything. If you want to become famous in that industry, there’s a price for fame. In a way, you become a product. Some, however, have the right mentality. You should take that opportunity to grow as an artist and learn new things.
