These pilots must have a lot of faith in these magnificent old aircraft.I wonder what age the pilots are & what nationalies most of them are. This is an excellent video.🙂
Nice thing about the Yak is you can run at full throttle and RPM as long as you want. Only caveat is the need to watch the oil and water temps. Keep the oil wide open the whole time as it has the least drag and then you can just monitor the water.
@@brantardrey7360 The original engine for such shows is unnecessarily expensive, not only does it have 1600 +- h/p, but there are very few engine hours.
@@traktori2888 The Yak-9 with the VK-107 engine could shoot down the Fw-190 at any altitude, except that the Fw-190, due to a heavier airframe, gained speed faster in a dive, but even so, in horizontal flight, the Yak-9 caught up with it.
My neighbor has had a Yak um disassembled in his garage here in Stockholm 70 years. Its actually in very good shape. He hopes to restore it someday.
How to Hope to restore ?
I dream of flying one and i would love to work on one. If you do this i would love to help

Единственный самолет на котором не побоялись крутить фигуры высшего пилотажа. На остальных самолетах сохранившийся летают просто по прямой туда-сюда
Schönes Video und Display von der Jak-9. Daumen hoch! 👍
Danke
Schones Flugzueg - nice aircraft
Kann dir nur zustimmen 👌
I have yet to see a Yak fly with the oil cooler doors anything less than wide open.

@@mojostevo , thanks. It is kind of interesting that the doors / oil cooling system has less drag with the doors open than when closed.
Is it a Yak 9 with his original VK107 PF engine or another RR instead ?
Allison
Allison mit dem V-1710-Zwölfzylinder
I thought that engine sounded familiar? Because the original Russian engine didn't really sound like that totally different size and firing order

Nice display! A little bit of a bounce in his step upon landing, but I bet he was just showin' off
A bounce when landing these planes looks so cool.
This one landed at 3 points as required.
Amazing video
Thanks !
Ist dieser Flugzeug der einzige, der etwas komplizierteres in der Luft machen kann? Sieht so aus
geht wahrscheinlich eher ums dürfen
One of the great fighters of ww2
Thx
