In Korea there is the beauty, to the people, the food you love, its culture/the tourist locations, the influence of kpop and k-drama & the important historic sites your visiting. But, there is also the dark side to Korea. You'll find alot of stories from youtubers who are either korean or foreigner, explaining their personal story or explaining someone else's using a different name with permission. I hope you enjoy, your stay as tourist and embrace the people and its culture. But, its always, good to cross-check by listening to a few youtuber storytimes, only take what you believe and care. Also look up some cases online, then you'll know. I'm not going to mention them, because I don't want to scare you. Remember, your staying in a homogenous country that really cares about superificality such as looks, appearances, keeping up with health and fitness at the gym, excelling in career, and is a country known to have toxic workplace cultures, even what car you drive also matters. This country has alot of stigma when it comes to sexual education, womens rights, domestic violence, sexual harrassment, mistreatment to korean women who are in the army, mistreatment to foreigners who don't meet the beauty standard of Korea and a whole other range of issues.
