  • In the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis, two things happened that involved President John F. Kennedy. The first was the release of the comedy album "The First Family" with Vaughn Meader. It quickly sold 7.5 million copies in two months, becoming the fastest selling album of all time.
That's when Larry Foster stepped up to the microphone and recorded this Christmas novelty song in time to cash in on Meader's success. Quickly scripted with fellow comedy writers Marty Brill, Morty Jay, and Sandy Sina, Foster refers to Khrushchev and Castro as "Mr. K and Mr. C". Hip, right?
Add in some kids singing, music, and you get this single that was released one year ahead of Vaughn Meader's infamous Christmas single "St. Nick Visits The White House" that disappeared immediately following JFK's assassination.
