This is really beautiful Harriet. Just stunning! It’s definitely a to-do shortly!
Thank you so much!
So very pretty. I have the same dotting in the hedges around our house. As it is a holiday today I went back and painted your firecrackers from last year. Thank you for the lovely wild rose tutorial. 👍 💗 👍
Gorgeous Harriet! Lovely to see a little peak of the hedgerows!
Many thanks!
Lovely. Thank you, Harriett!

They look so pretty. I just want to touch them. Great job.
You are so kind
I love the random natural look of this painting. Very fresh and not overworked. Thank you.
Glad you like it!
Harriet I have to tell you at one of my new year's resolutions this past January was at the age of 62 to learn how to watercolor. About two months in to my endeavors I discovered one of your videos. I followed along and was hooked. I am an engineer and so I like everything to be under control and with known results. So watercolor is a stretch as you have to kind of let the paint have it's own way.
I have no talent, but I am having so much fun that I decided to treat myself to your year of watercolor book. After having it a couple of days I liked it so much I have ordered your botanical book as well. I may have to Birds Bees and Botanicals book for my birthday because I find it helpful to have the books as well as watch your videos. Thanks for all your videos and the things I have learned. I like that your style is a bit more realistic compared to some other artists. I have even turned out a few pictures that aren't terrible.
Lovely 'little white dots'. I will try my hand at this one. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful!
You live in a beautiful place and I love seeing it. I'm also in love with your dog's name. Oh, and of course I love the painting.
Thank you so much!
Love seeing your yard, beautiful. I tried this...fun but definitely not close to yours.😂 Thank you😊

Dear Harriet, absolutely gorgeous. I struggle sometimes not knowing how to start a painting, I think I try too hard and over think it , but watching you has made me see that you just study the subject and it all follows from there , so I will look out for these pretty little wild flowers tomorrow on my walk up the road . I am enjoying all the outdoor videos, I especially liked the Cass Art shop video in Bristol. Thanks for showing.
Thank you so much!

We say *barbed wire rose*. Latin name is omeiensis pteracantha (also called barbed wire rose or wild rose) is pure white, simple and lightly scented.
This rose blooms particularly early in May. They are from China in 1890 and also popular with Chinese calligraphy painting!
AH that's so interesting, thanks!
Could you please tell me how you clean your masking fluid brush? Also do you thin out the fluid a little?
I try to paint the masking fluid as fast as poss so I can clean it off in water but I have accepted that masking fluid is really hard to get off.
