When you speak about the "European" Turks which are the modern day Azerbaijanis, Turkmens and Anatolian Turkish Turks you are referring to the Oghuz branch of Turks. You missed the opportunity to speak about the Central Asian Turks such as the Kyrgyz and the Kazakhs of the Kipchak branch of Turks who more closely resemble modern day Mongols.

yes he missed confused turkic with only Turkish people , all turkic people aren't turkish, like for example the yakutsk people of sakha republic or some people who speak some turkic languages in modern Mongolia , they nigh look very similar to modern day mongols.

Marriage by bride abduction naybe one aspect of cultural transformation. The greater impact had the gradual ismalization of the Armenian, Greek and other ethnicities. Whoever became a Muslim, also with the time became a Turk, because marriages with non-muslims were less possible.

Turks started migrating west during the iron age and mixed with those earlier Indo-European steppe nomads. Many non-Asian looking peoples blended into the Turkish society. They already had a fair share of Indo-European DNA in their pool during the migration into Anatolia. There is a recent genetic study made on Seljuks sultans and apparently they also had Indo-European looks 1000 years ago.

The earliest reference to the Mongols classifies them as a Tang dynasty tribe of Shiwei during the eighth century. It was only after the fall of the Liao dynasty in 1125 that they became an important tribe on the Central Asian steppe, but tribal wars weakened their power over the ensuing century. During the thirteenth century, the term Mongol was used to refer to the Mongolic and Turkic tribes who fell under the control of Genghis Khan. The Mongols are primarily a shamanist society; their central deity is the sky god Tenger.

Some Turks look white for the same reason that some Arabs do. There were a lot of female sex slaves traded over there. In Eastern Europe, we fought with them non-stop because they used to kidnap women and children, especially those of Slavic and Greek blood. In many paintings from a few centuries back, the Turks still had slanted eyes. The Russians, Greeks, Serbians, Hungarians, and Poles defeated them after centuries of invasions.

Huns or Turks is the same people in Chinese ancient literature. Both Mongols and Manchurians (Both roled China including last Chinese emperor) are the decendents of Huns and speak Turkic style language. Both Korean and Japanese are the cousins of Turkic language, which are very different in grammar from Mandarin Chinese, though their writing are heavily influenced by Chinese.

I have japan, Azerbaijani, Xinjiang (uyghur), finnish, mongolian, uzbek friends. We have a lot of similarities in daylife and its very impressive for me.
The most bizarre things are for example japans between modern turkish cultures. They call Blue color as Kok as in japan word. We call kok(gok) as sky, sky is blue and old turkish color name is kok. Used still in uyghur as kok. 'Tengri' is the shaman god word in old turkish and modern turks uses 'tanrı' comes from kok-tengri( god is sky or god from sky) and still in day life, turks uses tanri like 'god' instead of allah('arabic defination') and central asians are still use tengri while in Islam.
Also we have mantı as food. japans has same food. Japans eat meals without table (not in modern life but still it's a culture and exist. Same as in turkey still and its not bizzare if someone invite you to land-based table without chair. Japan Language if its written in latin i definitely understand an idea about which word is object/subject/verbals/time so bizarre eventhough i dont know the meaning of words. But past tense or he she/gender etc...
Also at american indians are uses hundered words are same as in turkish like animals/numbers/colors etc...
So bizzare. That is the reason ethnically modern turks DNA's mixed in last 1k reason of long time period ottoman empire time with slavs/greek/arabs/ mesopotamian cultures/DNA but still cultures carrying a lot of similarity in daylife with beliefs/definitions/logic/respectfully rules etc... Between turks, mongols, uzbek, turkmen as i said while turks similarities between Japan are %5 percent, mongol and japan can be more such as %10-15 and korean betwen japan can be %20-25 but korean and mongol can be %10-15 etc...

look at the comments. everybody says that turks are originally part of their nation. the greatest war is the war against ignorance. Middle Eastern sharia victims and European so-called genetic scientists, who are not even aware of the groups called Oguz Turks and Kipchak Turks, are trying to decide which nation the Turks belong to.
the turks of anatolia are first and foremost the oghuz turks. the oghuz turks are a tribe that includes the turks and turkmens living today in anatolia, azerbaijan, the caucasus, the balkans, northern iran. it is even believed that the uyghur turks belong to the oghuz group. the kipchak turks are a group that includes kazaks, kyrgyz, uzbeks, tatars and other turks. Before the oghuz Turks migrated from asia, they lived in western asia. the kipchak Turks lived further east of them. since the Turks were spread over a wide geography in asia, the phenotypes in the east and west were already different due to geography. the oghuz Turks were never as slant-eyed or black-haired as the kipchak Turks. Today, over 300 million Turks still speak the same language. Kazakhs, Turkmen, Altai and Siberians speak the same Turkish. They speak a very different language than the Mongols you claim to be from them.
the turks living in anatolia today have mixed with the greeks, armenians and other natives of anatolia, which is the most common thing in the world, and their phenotypes are slightly different from their ancestors. when you look at the Yörük Turks who live in Turkey and mix less with Anatolian tribes, you can see the West and Central Asian phenotype. Among my friends, there are many people with slanted eyes and rosy cheeks. it is natural to think that an englishman living in england today is completely anglo saxon, or a german is completely Germanic, but when it comes to turks, everyone tries to claim that turks are not actually turks. it is a terrible lie.
Anatolian turks are still predominantly Caucasian, Western and Central Asian in character. it is a ridiculous claim that a nomadic turkish culture could come to anatolia and suppress the settled greek and armenian cultures. no one denies that we mixed with greeks and armenians, we respect all nations, but we still have predominantly turkish blood, culture and language. the fact that a handful of armenians and greeks are trying to decide where the turks belong as a result of hatred born out of longing for asia minor makes them look even more childish.

@@luxeffere Most modern Anatolian Turks have only about 5%-10% Northeast Asian DNA in average. In contrast, Kazakhs have about 70%-80% Northeast Asian DNA. Kazakhs are also a Turkic people. The Turkic Yakuts have about 90% Northeast Asian DNA.
Thus today's Anatolian Turks as phenotype and genotype are closer to their neighbors
The root of East Asians, such as Chinese, Koreans, or Japanese, but also Northeast Asians, Siberians as well as Southeast Asians, Pacific Islanders and Native Americans, can be traced back to the “Ancestral East Asians” (also known as Basal-East Asians or basal East-Eurasians “bEE”).
The ANEA/The Northern East Asian can be differentiated into broadly four sub-groups, namely the “Ancient Northeast Asians“ (ANA), “Neo-Siberians", "West Liao River farmers", and "Yellow River farmers".
Turkic, Mongolian, Tungusic, Korean, Japanese, Native American, they share the same ancestor - Ancient Northeast Asians, ANA and the Yellow River farmers (Han Chinese) are derived from the same ancestor - ancient North-East Asians
This is the reason why they look alike
A 2023 study published in the Journal of Systematics and Evolution analyzed the DNA of Empress Ashina, a royal Göktürk, whose remains were recovered from a mausoleum in Xianyang, China. The authors determined that Empress Ashina belonged to the North-East Asian mtDNA haplogroup F1d. Approximately 96-98% of her autosomal ancestry was of Ancient Northeast Asian origin, while roughly 2-4% was of West Eurasian origin, indicating ancient admixture
The authors state that their results are consistent with a North-East Asian origin of the royal Ashina family and the Göktürk Khanate. This study weakened the Indo-Iranian hypothesis of Ashina tribe. However, they also noted that central-steppe Türks and early medieval Türks exhibit a high (but variable) degree of West Eurasian ancestry, which indicates that there was genetic sub-structure within the Türkic empire. For example, the ancestry of early medieval Turks was derived from Ancient Northeast Asians for about 62% of their genome, while the remaining 38% was derived from West Eurasians (BMAC and Afanasievo), with the admixture occurring around the year 500 CE.
West Eurasian ancestry in the Türks combined Sarmatian-related and BMAC ancestry, while the East Eurasian ancestry was related to Ancient Northeast Asians
The ancient Türkic royal family of the Göktürk Khaganate was found to share genetic affinities to post-Iron Age Tungusic and Mongolic pastoralists, while having heterogeneous relationships towards various Turkic-speaking groups, suggesting genetic heterogeneity and multiple sources of origin for the population of the Turkic empire. According to the authors, these findings "once again validates a cultural diffusion model over a demic diffusion model for the spread of Turkic languages" and refutes "the western Eurasian origin and multiple origin hypotheses" in favor of an East Asian origin for the royal Ashina family.
They are a mix of Northeast Asians (share genetic affinities to Tungusic and Mongolic pastoralists) and Indo-Iranian
These Turkified Indo-Iranians in turn assimilated the Anatolians(share genetic affinities to Greeks, Lebanese, Caucasians, Armenians...)

@@ordafles5360 The Transeurasian language family that includes Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Turkish, and Tungusic languages has had its origins traced back 9000 years, to early farming communities in what is now north-east China, according to a report published in the journal Nature that ‘triangulates’ genetics, archaeology, and linguistics in a unified perspective.
A very small minority of people in Turkey carry genetic markers that are also found in Mongolia, Korean, Janpanese .
Turkic peoples never became a majority in Anatolia, even up to the present day. The Turks of today are the historic Anatolians who have simply taken on a Turkish identity as they had previously taken on a Greek identity.
Using linguistic, archeological and genetic evidence, an international team of researchers from Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Russia and the U.S. found that the languages can be traced back to the beginning of millet cultivation in China’s West Liao River. Over time, these millet farmers - who belong to the Amur gene pool - migrated to neighboring regions and left their descendants admixing with other populations.
Whether the five languages descended from one common ancestor has long been a subject of debate. However, recent studies have shown “a reliable core of evidence” supporting the theory, the researchers said.
The spread of the languages reportedly involved two major phases. The first phase, which occurred in the early to middle Neolithic Ages, saw the spread of Amur-related millet farmers in the West Liao River to contiguous regions. The second phase, which occurred in the late Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages, saw the mixture of their descendants with Yellow River, western Eurasian and Jomon people. During this period, they also started farming rice and western Eurasian crops in addition to raising livestock.
A qualitative analysis using data from 250 vocabulary concepts in 98 Transeurasian languages allowed the researchers to identify which words emerged in particular regions at a particular time. For instance, ancestral languages that separated during the Neolithic Age -- the final division of the Stone Age -- used words related to millets but not other crops.
Aside from linguistic analysis, the researchers studied data from 255 archaeological sites in northern China, Japan, Korea and the Primorye in Far East Russia. They also conducted genome analyses of 19 ancient individuals from Korea, Kyushu, the Amur and the Ryukyus and combined them with existing data on those who lived in north and east Asia between 9,500 and 300 years ago.

@@ordafles5360 Black South Africans also speak English. Are their ancestors Anglo-Saxons?
The modern Turkish people are just Turkified Greeks, Kurds, Iranians ...🤣🤣
Today's people of Central Asia are a mix of Iranic and Turkic peoples and today's Turkiye is a mix of Native Anatolian, Iranic, Turkic, Baltic, Arabic, Caucasian peoples.
Iranic peoples were the original inhabitants of Central Asia from the proto Indo Europeans peoples that came out of the Ukraine area.
These Iranic peoples were lighter skinned with colored hair and eyes. They were known as the Scythians . They were all known for their pointy long and sometimes very decorative hats.
As a result of Turkic peoples expansion, Turks who were a primarily East Asian peoples moved out of the Eastern Kazakhstan/Western Mongolian and into Central Asia
These Turkic peoples began to assimilate with the Iranic locals of Central Asia. Thats why today Central Asian have this caucasian/oriental phenotype.
The Central Asian genetic makeup is a composition of early Iranic peoples and later Turkic arrivals. Mainly Uzbeks, Turkmens, Tajiks, Uyghurs posses varying ratios of this Turkic-Iranic admixture
As the Oghuz Turk peoples (who are now a mix of Turkic and Iranic) expanded into the Iranian plateau under the Seljuk Empire and eventually migrated further west into Asia Minor. As a result of the Mongol invasions of Iran, many Seljuks fled Iran entirely for Anatolia
In Asia Minor these Oghuz peoples assimilated with the local Anatolians that made up a combination of Ancient Greek ,Armenians and Kurdish peoples
During Ottoman Empire many different peoples arrived into Anatolia as part of the Ottoman recruitment including Baltic peoples, Arabs, Caucasian peoples etc and further mixed the population
The homeland of early proto-Turkic peoples is in Northeast Asia, specifically along the Liao river region. The later Turkic homeland stretched from the Liao river in Northeast Asia through Mongolia up to the Baikal lake.
Proto-Turks probably around 97% Northeast Asian ancestry on average.
The Medieval Turks derived (on average) around 62,2% from these Ancient Northeast Asians, associated with the spread of Turkic languages, 27,1% from Sintashta or Afanasievo, associated with the spread of Indo-European languages, and 10,7% from the BMAC, Neolithic Iranians.
First, the Turks assimilated some Saka, Scythians, Sogdians.....Shaped the Eurasian race (Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Turkmens)
Then, these Turkified Indo-Iranian speakers entered Anatolia, killed and assimilated the Byzantines ( Anatonians,Armenians, Greeks.....)
Now, lots of Anatonians worshiped their “turkic dad ”and slaughtered their blood brothers.....What irony!

Turkics and Mongolics are different. They dont share same ancestory. They had similiar cultures bc of same shared geograhpy. Since their culture are similiar people taught that they were one people which is wrong. Modern linguists are saying that Mongolic and Turkic do not share same origin.
