I have flat out enjoyed all the videos y’all have done with Mr. Tyler. His guns are so wonderful and I hope to have one for myself one day. Thanks for having him on a few different videos.
I expected Tyler Gun Works to ask me all these questions, I mean in detail like this vid...what Freedom Arms front blade height, color, design, etc. But they didn't. And I really wanted high figure wood, but they wanted to put on Stag, which is nice but they are not fitted well as I expected. I wanted octagon bbl, seemed to be too much trouble at that time. I received no information shipped with the revolver with information on the Bowen rear sight or Freedom Arms front sight or information on the specs of the revolver before-and-after machine work. Which I thought I would get for some reason I don't know. It was my first "Custom" and wanted to do it right the first time, I don't feel that it was. It a super nice revolver and accurate but I just wasn't real happy with the whole experience. I will probably send it to someone else to finish.
@@BrokenBarBox Every time I did talk to Mr Tyler he was in a giant hurry. Conversation was very limited and rushed. Couldn't see any reason to call him again after receiving my revolver. Nice guy but I wanted someone more interested in my project, in a shop, and not in such a rush getting in a vehicle needing to get somewhere else. My Ruger is very nice, just not the "Custom" fit and finish I wanted. I feel I shouldn't need to send it back to have this done. My wallet was wide open at the beginning of the project. Thanks
Thanks for your comment. A Smith,,,Should ,,, communicate fully and accommodate a customer's wishes. A Smith here in town did me wrong as I asked for a dovetail cut into the barrel and my patridge installed, but he soldered on a ramp which screwed the bluing up and then flat blacked the barrel. NO Effin good.
Well, now I’m torn on a graduation gift for myself. Either a customer 357 revolver or a beretta silver pigeon. Both would get used a lot, for hunting and general shooting.
I like pretty and performance. That first revolver is nice well the all are nice but I like the first one the best. It sounds like a Ruger and looks like a Ruger.
Full custom guns are great to see, direct drop in replacement parts that let the gun perform and shoot better are as well. But Brownells is known as both a gun parts supplier and the proper tools to do actual gunsmithing work. No it wouldn't be to Bob Tyler's or his company's advantage to do so, but how about showing exactly how to do that cylinder timing and action work. Anyone with enough money can order up a full custom gun, teaching people how it's properly done would be a whole lot more informative and increase your sales on the parts and custom tooling to do so. After all isn't that what Brownells is in business for?
Heads up fellow shooters. If you purchase any Brownells products on Optics Planet you no warranty. I have notified both that I will warn you. Joe Harris
Is there a reason that basically all the custom revolvers we've seen on this series have been single action? Is there a reason to customize a single action over a double action?
Ok kids, put that engraved Bearcat on a table and lay a Korth next to it. See which one gets picked up first and how many oohs and ahhs you hear. These guns are works of art. A Korth is an expensive tool. It’s all about what makes you happy in the end.
Bobby Tyler is a breath of fresh air. What a great asset he is. Thanks for being here.

Love the first one, Beautiful gun. I would love to own it. The sound of the lock up when the hammer is being pulled back love it.

Next time check out Hamilton Bowen or Ben Forkin.

I am just geeking out on those beautiful wood grips!
Definitely on my list. A must have to pass down to future generations.
Gorgeous guns. Would love to treat myself to one someday. Thanks for sharing!
I was getting bored until you whipped out the engraved Bearcat! Me want one!
Would also want a #5 since the wish list is out...
Nothing more beautiful than a well put together revolver. Those are some fine ones.
Hi Bobby Tyler I love the work your gunsmith and artisans accomplish. I will be sending you my GP100 in two days.

Wow! What else can you say about those Rugers?
Question, if you can’t get to his shop in Texas how can you get that custom gun to fit your hand?
Curious. Can a barrel be replaced on an S&W revolver? I want to go from 4" to 5" on a 625 model.

I wonder if Tyler could do work on a Dan Wesson? I might have to email.
Always go full custom.

i would guess its just whoever brought the guns like single actions, they can do all sorts of double actions for customs...
A custom single action revolver is more traditional that a DA.
😍
😁☕👍
I suspect that, as with metal handled knives, hand cut engraving on the frontstrap and backstrap of a handgun would aid grip.
Pretty is fine but performance out weighs pretty
>revolvers
Nah
Double actions are cool, these modern single actions that don’t even have historical value are a weird money pit for boomers.
@@Super-Kuper Single action revolvers are elegant even when modern.
Okay boomers. If you want a high end revolver, the answer is Korth or Manurhin.
