Nice to find something on youtube from this show. I was there! On the floor! Metallica blew Ozzy away! I still have my ticket stubb.
I was at this concert in front of cliff. I never heard of Metallica until that night. I was blown away and didn’t know what the hell was going on or what kind of music they were playing. I bought a guitar and learned how to play after seeing Metallica play that night. The first song I learned was Master of Puppets. I’ve been hooked ever since... 😊
Lol...me too man. I just had no idea!
who did they open for??? was it ozzy ??
@@BuffaloNyBornRaised, it indeed was Ozzy.
Same!
@@BuffaloNyBornRaised yes it was Ozzy. The ultimate sin tour.
I was there!
Holy shit. Just stumbled on this. I was at that show. Hetfield shared a beer with somebody up front and they drank the whole thing. He called him a dick. It was a crazy show.
This was a bit before my time, but I saw my first concert here. Green Day on their Insomniac tour. Also saw Tool there in 2003, I think. Since then no big name music acts have ever booked the Arena. Sucks.
2002 was the Tool show. They were great! The most hard hitting, gut rumbling bass I've ever experienced at a show. That's including these guys, Slayer, both used to play EXTREMELY loud! They would tell the FOH guys "Kill'em".
AJFA was probably the loudest ever. Clear as could be. Well defined. But Holy Jesus was that knee bucklingly loud! Ha!! But for sheer near-barf inducing pants-shitingly violent low end, Tool holds that particularly odd smelling chocolate covered cherry.
What a great show, and it cost a whopping $10.50
everyone who knows metallica knows they are from northern California. but only the real fans will know they got there first start here in upstate New York/ New jersey
I first saw them live a few months after this and they kicked every square inch of my ass!!
Saw them a year later and they were just boring.
Maybe you are boring?
Metallica in 1986 was basically the same as metallica in 1987. Or 88. Or 89.
@@koalanectar9382 and even in 1992 ;)
