Only if red line is equal to or above 9mm the tooth should be extracted under GA, it's not more than 5mm. White line does not indicate depth of embedded tooth in bone, it only indiactes difference in level of occlusal surfaces of 1st 2nd and 3rd molar.

The white line does indicate the depth of impaction. I heared it from my professor here.
