This is a good one. Those maples are spectacular. I love the big Percherons; I wanted to see Buck and Ken together. I like the black horses, and this pair is so strong. That load looked almost easy for them. Good boys! Brenda, the shot where you sat the camera on top of the logs looked great!
I find myself watching older footage of Buck working. What a good horse. Brenda, even in the earlier videos, you were giving us great video footage from various angles. I appreciate all the effort you put into getting all the side angles shots, but my favorite is peering over the backs of your team.
I believe Jim has perfect blood pressure. Working with horses (and even watching them work from my living room couch) is so soothing. This is a beautiful video for eyes and ears,
I always forget to thank that wonderful wife of yours Jim , so this time Brenda I want to thank you very ,very much for the beautiful videos that you work so hard to allow us to see. Much appreciated
Nice to see a variety of trees there ,it could pass as a woods in England. Nice autumn colours. Good job stacking the logs Jim. Well done to the horses for their almighty strength...bless em.
Where time has a different meaning. The world needs to slow down a little, and reflect. Beautiful country, pretty in autumn. Thanks for the videoing Brenda. Lovely drive.
I'm retired on our small 50+ acres in central Illinois doing tree work, sawmilling, masonry woodstove building, no horses but I enjoy your videos and learn tips as I watch. Thanks again.
Pretty good photographer Brenda, I didn’t know whether you where walking or riding a bicycle until I heard your foot steps in the leaves. You sure get a lot of exercise. More than you did as a nurse. Stay healthy!
Nothing is better for the horses than these nice long drives, where they settle in a steady gait without straining. I wish I could do that, but we are landlocked here on our farm, can't even get out on the road with my Percherons, it's way too dangerous with all these cars whose drivers are always in a hurry. And you have all that lovely countryside.
Beautiful video. Reagan said it best, something like, “nothing so good for the inside of a person as the outside of a horse”, something like that. Thanks again!
Really enjoyed watching your video of traditional ways of working, especially with all the beautiful autumn foliage. Thank you both for filming, it’s a real treat to be a small part of your farming lives. ❤️🇬🇧
How majestic your horses look in this setting !! Brenda; you are certainly very capable with all the camera work that has to be done to capture the beautiful settings !!
GLORIOUS ! Thank you for sharing. If I were that lucky I would be wearing gloves, have a case of WD-40 for all those squeaks, and put bells on those Beauties! Thank you.
Brenda, awesome job, I think you walked just as far as the horses to provide us with such great different video angles. I look forward to every video that both of you produce.
Such great looking teem both teams are but love the fotage of them turning around they look great so glade misses went along to film great footage i loved the video
The trees are really pretty there. The trees are getting pretty here in southern Nebraska too. One of the most colorful falls we've had in awhile seems like most years we get an early freeze and the leaves fall off. We have had some frost but no hard freeze yet. It's very dry here though.
Really. Ice team of Percherons my grandfather had a team of them that he raised from colts. Ted and Babe. Brother and sister. We lived in Northern Minnesota.
Great videos!!! Maybe this is weird but I love watching you guys feeding the horses, brushing them; tacking and untacking and the routines that they know to do😍
very good! The video sequencing and filming tell a real nice story. Good job on the camera work to Jim's wife. You guys are a great team: Jim and wife and the horses. Thank you
The adventures of Jim & Brenda. Glad to see a couple work together like you folks do. To get them camera shots as you do, Brenda you must walk/run a bit . Amazing work. 😇
At 00:45 you asked for a "half halt", is that how you slow them down? Were you going down hill? This is my favorite video so far. I learned so much by watching your hands & the lines. It was super cute watching their ears move so they could hear you. If you ever decide to have a clinic I would definitely buy a ticket, even if it was for half of a day.
As I’m going down this hill the loaded wagon is pushing me quite hard so I’m just telling the horses to be careful so I just say careful careful and that tends to help slow them down and helps them to hold back
Thanks for taking us along, the only thing that could make me happier would to be there in person! Are your horses tails docked, it doesn’t look like it but not sure?♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
Hie Jim----Beautiful trees you are showing us while coming out of your forest. Is there any elm left in the forest? Here there nearly all gone. ( Magog Québec, one hour east of Montreal)
I saw you're from Vermont. Me too from Passumpsic near St. Johnsbury. Live near Philadelphia now. My dad used to maple sugar and log with horses. Have you ever pulled at the Caledonian Fair? That was my dad's favorite event. New to your channel and enjoy it.
Yes, we are from Southern Vermont, Jim from near Chester, Brenda from near White River. No, we never made it to that fair. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the channel!
Love your videos, but rule of thumb I used to follow is one strap for every four ft of logs, never just one strap because if it breaks, and they will you have backup keep safe my friend.
My greatgrandpa had a team of Percherons, they worked cornfields in Indiana. Your horses are in amazing shape. They did not even look like they were breathing hard or sweating? How much do you think that load of logs weighs?
Do you ever sponge them off or bath them? I do after each ride in the summer and in the winter about once a week I take vinegar and water and wipe them down get rid of dandruff and such....
Noticed that you often drive the Percheron team, particularly the right hand horse, with a tighter rein than the Belgians. Any particular reason for that? He 'busier' than the off-side fellow; or just needs more attention?
I don't know what i'm talking about, but it seems to me those palomar's work better together than the belgium's. The left belgium seems to want to right lead and short steps his right leg when on the left. Maybe just my imagination.
This is a good one. Those maples are spectacular. I love the big Percherons; I wanted to see Buck and Ken together. I like the black horses, and this pair is so strong. That load looked almost easy for them. Good boys! Brenda, the shot where you sat the camera on top of the logs looked great!
I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.
Nice!
I can't think of anything more beautiful than looking over the hindquarters of such beautiful animals !
I find myself watching older footage of Buck working. What a good horse. Brenda, even in the earlier videos, you were giving us great video footage from various angles. I appreciate all the effort you put into getting all the side angles shots, but my favorite is peering over the backs of your team.

Thanks
I love the Belgians
I always forget to thank that wonderful wife of yours Jim , so this time Brenda I want to thank you very ,very much for the beautiful videos that you work so hard to allow us to see. Much appreciated
Thanks Claude, I enjoyed filming and riding along. Thanks for watching
Nice to see a variety of trees there ,it could pass as a woods in England.
Nice autumn colours.
Good job stacking the logs Jim.
Well done to the horses for their almighty strength...bless em.
It’s a beautiful time of the year for sure! Thanks for watching!
Where time has a different meaning. The world needs to slow down a little, and reflect. Beautiful country, pretty in autumn. Thanks for the videoing Brenda. Lovely drive.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm retired on our small 50+ acres in central Illinois doing tree work, sawmilling, masonry woodstove building, no horses but I enjoy your videos and learn tips as I watch. Thanks again.
Sounds like you have a lot to keep you busy. Thanks for watching!
Pretty good photographer Brenda, I didn’t know whether you where walking or riding a bicycle until I heard your foot steps in the leaves. You sure get a lot of exercise. More than you did as a nurse. Stay healthy!
The horses are an inspiration to the modern automobiles when it comes to horsepower.
Fall in NYS is my favorite time of year. Crops being harvested, hunting season, colorful leaves falling from the trees and covering the ground.
Thank you for sharing the autumn colours in these wholesome and calming videos.
Nothing is better for the horses than these nice long drives, where they settle in a steady gait without straining. Yes, we love where we live and are glad for the (mostly) quietness of where we live.
This is beautiful. We in the south have very little color now.🐴🐴😷👍 Even after that full load nobody appeared wet.
Now there’s a sight! Seeing those boys dig in and pull the logs through the woods. Makes me feel emotional. They are the luckiest of creatures!
They enjoy their work. Thanks for watching
Jim is truly blessed tho ha three beautiful strong lady’s that are willing to work so har and they can handle the horses like a professional
Brenda,,you have really been doing a great job filming all these years,,so glad you quite your job.
Beautiful video. Reagan said it best, something like, “nothing so good for the inside of a person as the outside of a horse”, something like that. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful. Thanks for letting me come along.
Thanks for coming along!
Brenda you got some beautiful footage in this one. I am sick today and this video was like a dose of medicine.
Hope you feel better soon. Glad you enjoyed the video
Man, those beauties are STRONG. Love watching them 💋💋
Thanks for the video. They are so beautiful to watch! And two teams so well trained.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching
Really enjoyed watching your video of traditional ways of working, especially with all the beautiful autumn foliage. Thank you both for filming, it’s a real treat to be a small part of your farming lives. ❤️🇬🇧
We enjoyed making the video, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
Love to watch these horses pull, just the way the lord intended it to be.
How majestic your horses look in this setting !! Brenda; you are certainly very capable with all the camera work that has to be done to capture the beautiful settings !!
We did a lot of the farm work with horses growing up. The kids today will never know the experience of growing up on a farm.
It’s definitely a good way if life!
Great video jim what a day and you keep them horses fit

Yes, we love it here. Thanks!
Thank you to you and your family for such beautiful videos and to the stars of the show the horses.🙂
Our pleasure!
GLORIOUS ! Thank you for sharing. If I were that lucky I would be wearing gloves, have a case of WD-40 for all those squeaks, and put bells on those Beauties! Thank you.
This is so beautiful. It might be a work ride for you, but it is relaxing for me! I love that autumn forest.
Love it when the horses want to go into a trot with a load!
Yes, they wanted to go
Brenda, awesome job, I think you walked just as far as the horses to provide us with such great different video angles. I look forward to every video that both of you produce.
This was a fun video to make, the woods are so beautiful right now. Thanks for watching and for your support
What perfect day for nice 3mile drive my mom would love going on that ride so gorgious in fall to bad in a flash it will be winter
Yes, winter is coming fast and the leaves are falling
Ken looking at the load oo man bill we are going to ern that pasture time now haha

So relaxing watching you work the horses, thank you for the video. I wonder how many people watching would like to visit and watch in person!

Lovely ride. Nice photography.
Beautiful teams - beautiful trees, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful Fall or as we say in England, Autumn colours of the trees 🌳
The trees are really pretty there. The trees are getting pretty here in southern Nebraska too. One of the most colorful falls we've had in awhile seems like most years we get an early freeze and the leaves fall off. We have had some frost but no hard freeze yet. It's very dry here though.
Yes, it is our best in quite some time as well. Thanks for watching
Excellent video ! 👍
Always great videos keep them coming
Really. Ice team of Percherons my grandfather had a team of them that he raised from colts. Ted and Babe. Brother and sister. We lived in Northern Minnesota.
Good video footage in the woods guys.

Good day Nice video. At 12 mins, in bush they were walking like they were on pavemant. Is there that many stones in bush? Yes bush was nice. Thanks
There are many stones in those woods, many stones. Good day to you and thanks for watching
That’s a heavy load and they are well fed earning their keep in awesome setting 😎😎😎🤘🏻
Um homem só faz muitas coisas ❤❤
Great video you two. I live in Savannah GA. I love it here, but I miss the seasons in PA.
Ken checking out the load, lol
very good! The video sequencing and filming tell a real nice story. Good job on the camera work to Jim's wife. You guys are a great team: Jim and wife and the horses. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Better start wearing a mic Brenda. When you turn your head we can’t hear you. Nice drive!
Great camera work!
Thanks!
The adventures of Jim & Brenda.
Glad to see a couple work together like you folks do.
To get them camera shots as you do, Brenda you must walk/run a bit .
Amazing work. 😇
What is the maximum distance you can take horses pulling a load of logs if you put a normal load on in your type of land skape

Thanks for taking us along, the only thing that could make me happier would to be there in person! Are your horses tails docked, it doesn’t look like it but not sure?♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
It sure was a nice day. No, the tails aren’t dock, just trimmed
Working Horses With Jim 👍
Jim sure let’s you do alt of walking Brenda. That will keep you nice and trim and healthy,
Hi, this is Brenda. I love to walk so I don't mind at all
Hie Jim----Beautiful trees you are showing us while coming out of your forest. Is there any elm left in the forest? Here there nearly all gone. ( Magog Québec, one hour east of Montreal)
There are a few elms around but they seem to get to be a beautiful tree and then they die
I wonder, if this trailers do have any kind of brake?
Great videos, stunning, how easy the horses follow your slightest commands. Very impressive.
No the trailer does not have brakes. Thanks for watching!

Very nice video. Thanks. How is my pal Buck doing? Hope he is well.
Thanks, he’s doing great!
Beautiful fall (Autumn) day !! The leaves have turned and it's really very pretty !!
Yes, it was a beautiful day, thanks for watching
👍👍
Love your videos, but rule of thumb I used to follow is one strap for every four ft of logs, never just one strap because if it breaks, and they will you have backup keep safe my friend.
Thanks for watching and for your suggestion. Better safe than sorry
GREAT VIDEO JIM AND BRENDA REMINDS ME OF HOME IN VERMONT .DO YOU PUT CORKS ON YOUR HORSES SHOES IN THE WINTER/?
Yes, all year round
My greatgrandpa had a team of Percherons, they worked cornfields in Indiana. Your horses are in amazing shape. They did not even look like they were breathing hard or sweating? How much do you think that load of logs weighs?
Hard to say how much the logs weighed . They did sweat a little but they handled it pretty well. Thanks for watching!
Duas máquinas
Awesome video..does your 2 wheel dolly cart have some type of braking system?
No it doesn’t
Those horses pulled that load out of the woods know problems.
which team is the strongest?
Do you ever sponge them off or bath them? I do after each ride in the summer and in the winter about once a week I take vinegar and water and wipe them down get rid of dandruff and such....
No, I just brush them
do they ever throw a shoe?
Yes they do
Thank You Jim. Are there problems going downhill? I don't see a braking system. Maybe 3000 lbs of horses is enough.
Thy hold back well, there are no brakes
They were not stepping so lively on the way back with the logs
Noticed that you often drive the Percheron team, particularly the right hand horse, with a tighter rein than the Belgians. Any particular reason for that? He 'busier' than the off-side fellow; or just needs more attention?
Buck has always been very aggressive and Ken is more laid back
I wanted to ask this land where you do agriculture is it your own or do you pay tax to the state? I just can't understand how your system works.
Yes, the land is our own, we purchased it, but we pay taxes every year to the State
👍👌🇨🇦❤
👍🏻
No him in.
Why does Lady have straight tail hair and the other horse have wavy tail hair?
Not sure, it’s just the way they are
I don't know what i'm talking about, but it seems to me those palomar's work better together than the belgium's. The left belgium seems to want to right lead and short steps his right leg when on the left. Maybe just my imagination.
The Belgians are a perfect match
