Thank you, thank you, thank you. I talked to my dr a few months ago, and he wanted to make sure my hormones are right. I have been studying this and am ready to go back and talk to him. I have pages of notes and am so ready. I have been struggling for 22 years, and it's getting worse. I am holding back the tears listening to this ❤❤

I just want to say thank you for all the deep dives you guys do. Ever since you mentioned, Semiglutide, it really got my attention. I have been eating the THM way for the past 10 or so years but I have definitely struggled like Jessica and my body always wanted to revert back to what it was doing before. Like it never wanted me to lose weight that I needed to lose. I was so ready for help dealing with insulin resistance. I’m learning so much but this semiglutide so far for me has been a blessing. I’ve been on it for eight weeks now and it is definitely low and slow for me. My doctor wanted me on half of the very smallest dose because I am so sensitive and it has been the best for me so far. The biggest change for me is that I am not starving all the time. I feel like I’m getting such a key and how to reverse my insulin resistance since I do everything else there is to do already. Super excited about this. I’ve been on bio denticle for a year now, and I will never go back. Getting my thyroid healthy was huge for me. Plus testosterone. My doctor is such a blessing !! Can’t wait to hear the talks You guys have on hormones ♥️

I love you gals so much! I'm just a bit frustrated because I am tanked of Estrogen and can't find any Dr. to take me seriously. I wish you could get your hormone book rolling so we can all get going on a regimen. Also, the shot you spoke of today, how do we get that? Through a Dr? I have no Dr. I trust or who cares. What can I do?

Functional medicine Dr or NP. And check their reviews.

I get the food noise sometimes, but it’s not as bad as it could be. I’ve learned to tell myself no, I don’t NEED that right now. I mentally treat myself like a pet that needs to go to the vet: sometimes I don’t like it, but it’s necessary for my health and longevity.

I think I'm like Becky. I'm a firm believer in THM. For over 5 years. It started with the recipe for the pumpkin pie sip. But like Becky, I use the products and sort of follow the plan guidelines but the "food noise" may be a bigger factor than I realize.

Food noise is real. Regaining and not being able to loose those last pounds. But worse, when you are doing the things and your blood work comes back A1c 5.6, LDL 105, Albumon4.3, triglyceride 58, total protein 6.5, so unexpected and discouraging 😢

Is supporting your body with these peptides something you can do before you are done having children? Is there a low enough dose to support your body (especially those of us with PCOS) that would be helpful to mom and not hurt baby when pregnant or nursing?

If you're staying on this topic, how can we boost glp1 with diet? I know a lot of it is built into the THM already, but I would like to know specifically which techniques. The med is very expensive where I live, and I'd rather not do injections. I never kept up with allergy shots well, so this would go the same way.

This is the question that keeps coming to my brain! How do we fix the underlying issue so that we get the peptides, or make them, or absorb them... however it is we get them. :)

I went from A1C of 10.5 down to 5.3 in three months but I don't recommend the way I *did* it. I developed a fear of any food and was taking Metformin (and it made me ill). I went off it and maintained my A1C between 4.8 and 5.2 for the next 2 years avoiding sugar and flour and eating a great deal of veggies. A personal crisis a year ago threw me for a loop and I'm having trouble getting it below 6.5 and I had to go on Farxiga 3 months ago. Feeling very frustrated and doubtful the doc would allow me to take GLP-1. Not where I hoped to be at 63.

I am really curious what bloodwork showed the biggest difference. Was it just glucose levels? Or was it a cholesterol triglyceride lipids involved?

It didn’t work for me. I stayed on the lowest dose. I was extremely sick to the point of not being able to function in my daily life. Also I began having massive anxiety attacks while on it. (After a little over a month off, they went away) The only bloodwork change I had was that my always normal triglycerides went from normal to high. I was sad it didn’t work for me but due to what it did to me I will never take it again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

The menopause information is very interesting to listen to, and I’m sure a large part of your audience is in that age range. It’s understandable that you would gear your focus this direction because it’s the part of life you ladies are in right now. But it’s called trim healthy mama not trim healthy grandma. You still have audience members and THM women who are in their childbearing years. Id like to hear a few deep dive podcasts on pregnancy, postpartum, nursing, conception.

I am on the fence about this. Very concerned that it is getting such a spotlight because I know people who are using it inappropriately and also know too many people who should not have had bariatric surgery- permanently impairing their digestion without fixing the diet. It's our human nature to want things now! I can see a place for this medication, but I doubt it's appropriate for most.

@@ninaalexa6163 This plan they have to introduce these medications discredits the nutrition plan completely. Also, there are huge risks and side effects to taking them, which they are shrugging off.

It is a bit concerning. I want to believe they are doing what is right but I am also concerned that there is a financial driver involved. I am torn about this.
