For real. I had to dislike the video because I couldn't listen to the mispronunciation any longer. Either the guy didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Or the AI that they use they didn't even bother to proof it before posting the video, which is just f*cking lazy. It's a G*d damn epidemic here on UA-cam and I'm sick of it
@@B45i The entire premise of the video, that Motorola's brand has "collapsed" is absurd. As recently as 2021, Motorola sales were dominating the Android market, and it's woes mostly stem from being purchased by Lenovo. But that doesn't mean the Motorola brand has collapsed. It just shows how powerful Lenovo is, as they also own and operate IBM's personal computer business after purchasing it more than a decade ago. Motorola would thrive, if only Lenovo would commit more resources to software updates for their Motorola smartphone business. Unfortunately, Lenovo sees Motorola as hindering the Lenovo brand, so they are trying to quietly downsize Motorola and fold it into the Lenovo umbrella. ☔
I just bought a Motorola phone about 6 months ago. It's not the best, but pretty cheap - $100 unlocked. When I was searching, it came down it them or Nokia. Two fallen giants, but they do have decent products.
Lol actually motorola is the best stock android phone I ever used even better than many samsung premium phones..still using edge 30 and it's been more than 3 yrs still an incredible phone experience.
The pronunciation of "Razzer" is very distracting LOL, it has always been pronounced as "Razor" as in 'razor blade' which implies how thin as a razor blade the phone is. Probably the narrator was born before the Razr came out which is understandable, because in 2005-2007 everyone knew what the Razr was like it was like the iPhone 4.
It's funny how the UA-camr suddenly realizes his A.I. program is mispronouncing Razr at 14:15 of the video, and changes it to the correct pronunciation. The entire voiceover soundtrack should have been redone, at that point, but I guess laziness won out. 💤
@18:26 Minor slip up... *"Razr"* pronounced correctly at this point. The person was probably trying too hard to sound like AI for some unknown reason.... like some girls who go to France for a week and then when they return, they inexplicably try to pronounce words with French origins in a faux-French accent which sounds extremely off-putting. Nowadays, it's not just some women but also some men who inexplicably try to be *"extra"*
When the 27OCT1989 earthquake happened, it was horrible. But my company had Motorola phones - walkie talkies * cell - not much cell in those days. Honestly, landlines kept us going, 3:14 but walkie talkies mode kept my company in business. Must seem weird to people today. It was a horribly difficult few days, the few months, and you can see videos on this on UA-cam. People were killed, and much property was destroyed. But, we got through it, and are just waiting for the Hayward Fault quake, which may may will kill most of us.
Oh, each phone was walkie talkie + cell networks. There was not very much cell network. Only copper wire network worked. This is what is soon to be eliminated. For those of us who survived the 1989 earthquake, the cell phone network, and only the copper network worked.
Google did an excellent job putting Motorola on the map once more. The first moto g was one of the better phones I had. It's a shame google doesn't want to manufacture hardware.
I had my pay as you go Motorola phone for about 3 hours before i took it back to the shop for a full refund. Its was the worst phone i've ever used before or since.
Great documentary,, just wish i could mute each time u say razr as raza,, annoying as hell. You said it yoself that its called a razor with o removed for symmetry. Then u go on to call it raza for the whole documentary
(edit- dad never wanted to climb the ladder. he was weirdly happy with his job the entire tenure) My dad worked for Motorola for FORTY SEVEN YEARS; retired around 1990ish. he knew the Galvins. all the employees loved them. They (like IBM) were truly a cradle to grave company. Dad could have taken 40 years of Motorola anywhere but in the old days, employees were insanely loyal back in the day, it was worth it. dad made all kinds of currently unheard of perks. Motorola created all these clubs and PAID them to be there. it was an extra couple hundred bucks (in the 80s!) and a couple monthly lobster dinners christ only knows he vacation days. i thought he was paid to play golf the og motorolans were treated like royalty. his monthly pension was enormous. they paid medical insurance after retirement. one time i was visiting and some 30 yr old snatched a pen from my dad’s literal pocket protector, signed something against his arm and shoved the pen back in the aforementioned 20+ yr old protector . dad grabbed me bc immediately he knew it was go time with me and this guy “laura, that’s my boss. he makes 1/2 what i do and works 80 hours a week.”he then takes a personal moment to laugh
Im watching this on my Motorola . As kid i had v360 , v3 . In my mid twenties accidentally bought motorola smartphone and i fell in love with some of its features . Stfu legend still lives ❤ #motorolarazrgang
You forgot to tell about the 2011 Motorola Atrix which was the first smartphone with a biometric sensor and also the first that had a desktop mode, had a powerful hardware for its time. Other iconic models: Rizr Z3, Z6, Rckr EM-35. Motorola isn't selling well in USA, but sells very well in Brazil, I have 2 phones (one Samsung and the other a Motorola), Motorola is a great brand with quality and great cost-benefit ratio.
Iridium satellites! Didn't know they were still in orbit. I used to love looking for their "flares" (reflection off their panels). Is that still possible?
19:07 AI doesn't understand humor or emotion. It's maturity level to think on its own (not scour the web to bring answers, it can legitimately think on its own) is around an 11 year old. Doesn't understand the meaning of the word "pun," for example. There's your clear proof that this is written, filmed, edited, and directed by an AI this human paid for, or created this AI. Spoiler, they paid for it. I work for a company in AI and "pay us for youtube fame," AI companies are everywhere.
The thing is Motorola is still around. I had a Moto G pure from 2021. It was a decent phone, but rather than spend 200 dollars on one of their new budget phones I got a OnePlus nord CE 2 5G for 400 bucks Canadian. Its a good midrange phone with 8GB of ram as opposed to the 3GB in the Moto. Moto makes decent budget phones but spend the extra money and you get a phone that doesn't lag at all.
Such a sad story, how greed takes over and destroys everything. Motorola wil never own it's own mobile phone company... I don't how it works out. Lenovo is Motorola
That AI voice is awful. Also at 8:32 I don't think that's a Nokia 6670? I remember when the RAZR came out, outside of it's unique look the phone itself was dog$hit and years behind other manufacturers.
I wouldn't have guessed this was AI, until it mispronounced "Razr". Then about half way through, the proper pronunciation suddenly appears, only for it to then switch back and forth between the two. This is incredibly annoying, and makes this otherwise great video hard to watch. PLEASE re-upload it, with the audio corrected throughout! On the other hand, maybe it's comforting that an AI that sounds this perfect otherwise, still trips up over things so simple. Otherwise it would be creepy... 😱
Between the Sony Ericsson video pronouncing NOkia as NAHkia and this pronouncing RAEzr as RAHzAR, I'm seriously thinking this is AI bullshitery, which is sad because I grew up with with the Sony Ericsson and the RAzr and I'm curious about their history.
I didn't realize this was AI generated until the bot said "Raz Arr"
You can tell with the lack of enthusiasm

It’s pronounced Razer.
Damn right!

@@ACasualCustomer Just to spite you i liked and shared it.
When unfolded, it's as thin as a RAZAR BLADE. Hence the name "RAZAR".

If you don’t care about security, then sure buy Motorola.
Motorola is worth a ridiculous 80billion usd today lol. Although they’re not close to their peak, I bet they’re doing well
RIP on the Original Motorola

Very great topic , unfortunately 10 minutes into it I couldn’t stand the bot pronouncing “ razor “ ( RAY- -ZER like come on …..
slvr L6, L7, and L9, rizr (the slide up)
V3i and L7 were the goats tho

the girl in 3:58 mark is famous celebrety from philippines
I give this video the thumbs down because it is AI generated and it can't pronounce Razr properly
18:09 wtf 😂
It's pronounced Rey-zer, and the phone you showed was the Krazer, the cousin of the RAZR.
What about the Microtac 650?
I brought a motorola in Feb I love it. I think it's better then Samsung
I had V3i was serving me good for few years 👏👏👏👏👏
18:13 to 18:18 is so goofy💀 the BTS members names instead of the actual team's name😭
My favorite phone of all time is motorola razor v9
I've been lotal to Moto since Razr.....love their phones
I could care less about the voice being AI. I loved my Razr, Razr V3i and my Q9h from ATT when I had them
I never ever admired the unpractical design of the razr.
The old cp brands cant really move on keypads hahahaa
The z7 was my all time favorite. I have 8 different Motorola phones over the years.
12:48 Ray-zar Vie 3???? 🤦♂
Motorola Razr was the Iphone Of his time
I never had anything made by motorola i didn't absolutley love.
Motorola used to make t.v. sets during 1950s.
Only owned 2 Motorola's, v2288 and a Razer

Boeing is next is going to stick in 2nd place for a very long time.
To say it all Boeing is going to be number 2 for 30 years.
Motorola is not dead.Motorola needs to restrategize and they will beat apple and Samsung
There is no chance of Motorola beating Samsung or Apple there is no room for a third player, if that was the case then Nokia would be still relevant.
Icahn. No need to search for early life, we already know what he is.
is that Barbie Forteza @3:57? 😮
Ah, the future of UA-cam videos. AI generated garbage. 🤦♂️
Say again Razer. I double dare you.
google brought the company why do you think google came out with a phone
The voice is made to sound like MrMobile
Motorola is Phoenix it will rise back again

18:11 hello?! Those are the incorrectly pronounced names of the members of BTS 😭
Dude,... it is pronounced RAY-ZER. Holy cow, LOL
