I personally hate UA-cam shorts, but it occurs to me that some of these "One thing I love" videos might be promoted pretty easily with a quick Short of a few sentences that could attract folks to come view the longer video. Might be worth trying out, anyway.
couldnt agree more! this map stands out sooo much from others. Wish more fantasy game maps would forego the "painted" etc etc, and give me some rpg/tokien style cartography. God I need to bust out this game...picked up way back in your early coverage. its time
This was the first game I bought when I got back into hobby gaming, way back in 2007 or so. I haven't played it in probably a decade. May be time to dust it off again...

I made a post on a Facebook board game about people's favorite board game boards and listed this as my favorite. I was surprised how many people gave me a hard time about it mostly because it wasn't colorful. Obviously those people hadn't played this game
It's such an underrated game. We actually play this quite often. It's not that well-balanced, but it is a fun ride for sure. Since we have been playing this for many years and own all the content including the card expansions, we know this game very well and because of that we rarely lose. But it is quite easy to house rule, and you can also make your own Villains and Heroes if you like. There are templates and stuff out there.
I usually find that the the amount of fun in a game is directly related to how unbalanced a game is. The more unbalanced, the more fun, because more crazy things can happen. For me, balance is often equal to boring.
I also love these short minute brief overview, what I love type videos. In fact I'd say bump them up to "a few things you love" and closer to the 10 minute mark. I'll watch anything you make that's 10 to 15 minutes long
Awesome! I picked up the Anniversary edition and the Coast expansion a couple weeks ago (all brand new on sale for just 70 which seemed to good to pass up). It's been on my must buy list since your first video on it. My game play queue is years backlogged, but I think this one might get bumped up to the front of the line because my brother and nephew are on a Lovecraftian mystery monster kick right now. And yes, the boards are awesome. I think I need to rewatch your first vid and buy up all the expansions I'm missing as I'm sure we'll love it all
@@TheDungeonDive yes but the price the are asking for it is insane. I hope some day Flying frog will do a reprint . I know lots of people are waiting for a reprint because of the rarity of this expansion.

Sorry for the bad white balancing! I had the setting on my camera turned off, and the highly reflective surface of these boards really messed with it.
I like this series and as already mentioned this could be a very good short series to attract more viewers 🤩🤘🏻👍🏻

Hmmm... looks like the Something Wicked expansion that adds the rest of the map isn't so easy to find.
It comes and goes into and out of print.
