I wonder if they bullshit a bit about not having much money because they've played tonnes of festivals which rake in the cash. And there's only five in the band now whereas before it was 7. Like I wonder if they were all able to buy a house for themselves becuase they've had several no. 1 albums and quite a good few top 10 hit singles. It would be a crying shame to see the companies take the majority of the money when the band are the reason the songs got created in the first place.

Great point by the boys as they're right about those who support their music that there's a section who love their earlier stuff like me but aren't to crazy about the newer sounding latter albums. I do think their latter albums are good but I'm not a big fan of that 70s sound as I much prefer that 60s sound that they had on their first 6 albums and I'm including the lost album in that too. Butterfly House for me had some cracking songs but I just couldn't get into that 70s sound but I still listen to it every now and then. Magic and Medicine, The Invisible Invasions and Roots and Echo's was when they were at their best for me. The first album I played to death so I wore it out but the other three albums still sound fresh no matter how many times I listen to them. The Curse of Love and Night Freaks blew me away too, I just couldn't believe how they were able to capture the perfect sounds from horror movies from the 70s and 80s. You can tell that they've most likely seen every horror b-movie that there is to be seen as it all comes out in their songs.

Agreed. Dem 3 albums. Boss, lad. Can't stand the last 4 albums they've done. I proper hate all that late 60's-1970's self-indulgent psychadelic shyte. Roots and Echoes was the last great Coral album for me. I wouldn't bother with them nowadays. Sorry lads. If I wanted Frank Zappa, I'd smoke crack, wear 'black' and grow a bushy beard and wear me shades indoors like a wierdo mourning the loss of my youthful passions....
And what's with the new guitarist? You look like tramps.

Jeeze these guys are far superior to Oasis, musically, lyrically and with their concepts. To me the Coral are like the British doors. I really appreciate Noel G as a social Commentator and just refreshingly says it as it is. I'd love to have a beer and a chat with him because he talks a whole load of sense and knows lots about pop culture and music, but as a guitar player and singer, meh, pretty average IMHO.

Night Freaks is that one off special album that you later realize was brilliant.. It was spooky, and full of imagination and freedcom. I got all these visuals of scenes from Children of the Corn to the Wickerman and all these old horror classics.. I'm pretty sure their ideas come from the books they read too.
