Thank you! I’ve got Wildland Fire training starting in a few days and this helped so much. I’ve had so many different helmets in construction, but this one totally had me fooled. I tried shoving the whole piece in just like you said we would, and I was so puzzled. Felt I was going to break it and then I realized there must be some simple thing I’m missing. So thank you kindly sir!
thank you for saving the day--im not sure if I should say this in public, but I screwed with this for at least an hour and can safely say "thank you for saving the day and at least another hour of frustration"!!
Maybe you can help me. I have my old wildland firefighter helmet. The Bullard suspension headband is shot. Brittle and falling apart. But the white nylon keyways and straps are just fine. Can I adapt my old straps and keys to a new suspension?
Hi there. Please email our customer service email customerservice@supplycache.com or call us at 800-839-0821 and they can help you figure out what is possible with your helmet. Thanks and have a great day.
Hi Shelby~ You'll have to be more specific. Are you referring to the plastic clips that fasten the suspension to the helmet? Also consider that helmets older than 2008 have a different suspension system and very different tabs.
Ugh thank you! It says "insert top 1/3 of key" on the instructions but the next diagram they flip the helmet and say "click" so I probably spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what I was doing wrong lol

100% been doing the same thing
Dude been jumping since ‘08, going back to my old type 2 crew and could not figure this out thanks brotha
Thank you for this video. I was racking my brain trying to push the straps in from the base, rather than where they actually clip in. 😊
Thank you, thank you! I was staring at myself in the mirror wondering if my helmet was really supposed to be sitting _that_ high. 😂
Thank you so much for the direct and helpful video. This is exactly what I needed.
thanks for that tab insert clarification. I had it wrong, made the hat high up, funny! thank you!
Jumpin' cripes! I must've watched Bullard's 'simple' 1/3rd snap video 5 or 6 times! BRAVO ZULU for your explanation!
Thank you for saving the day. I was pushing through the wrong part of the clip...
Wtf thanks all the other videos was tell me to do it the other way you sir are a gentleman and a scholar
Thank you! This was super helpful!
Lifesaver brother, thank you
THANK YOU. I was going crazy with those stupid tabs. Pulled a real middle aged man move and threw out the instructions with so much arrogance 😂
Thanks dear ,It was really useful watching this Video.
Thanks I've used hardhats forever and knew I was doing something wrong and almost thought it was defect and clipped plastic pieces off the sides

Hey can you take the plastic bands out and put them back in because I took mine apart and it won't go back together.

I got it back together haha thanks but the white plastic clips that click halfway into the helmet
