      That quote says it best. He did not quiet. He got up every time on each of those 6 knockdowns. Frazier was never outright knocked out. His losses were to two of the greatest multi-era and Olympic gold medal champions of all time. Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Ask yourself the question, do you get up 6 times from being knocked down by George Foreman?

      @@PRSouthern Foreman was also pretty open about wanting Joe Frazier to die before he gets a title shot
      Because Joe was pretty much the only boxer he was afraid to face and when Foreman was in the face off with Joe Frazier, he wished that Joe wouldn't look down because Foreman's knees were shaking
      Muhammad Ali was scared of Joe and George
      George was scared od Frazier
      Joe was never scared of either of em and almost never stepped back to dodge or because someone landed a good punch on him
      He relied on his bob and weave and aleays tried to land the right timing to throw his left wether he got hit or not
      Any heavyweight imo would fear Joe if they had to fight him
      Iirc, it took Ali 9 rounds to make Joe step back even a little

    George Foreman is one of the most inspirational boxers ever to step in the ring. The fact that he was a 45 year old man (and certainly not in his best shape) when he regained his title (and in a devastating way to add to that) was truly something you rarely see in champions, or even all-time great champions. A true gentle giant.

      @@someperson8151 Even tho Foreman came back to boxing because he needed money. Try not to contradict yourself next time bud. And don’t disrespect Ali as Ali is one of the biggest reasons George is who he is today and Big George himself says that. The way Ali went out I agree with you. Was a dumb decision on his part. But the biggest thing about Ali was he was bold and courageous to the point of no return. He won’t back down and he got the karma from it. Big George guaranteed if he didn’t retire he would’ve gotten the Tyson treatment of falling off from his worlds problems. I applaud George for what he did. Just like what Ali did, what George did wont happen again or even replicate. Hell, imo George winning the belt at 45 is more impressive then what Ali did at all. Only thing we want from Ali was his true prime and we didn’t get the chance to see it. And I’ll bring the fighting logic between them in their primes. Ali beats Foreman almost everytime imo. Imo, no other heavyweight in the future is gonna have what he had in the ring. His speed is unnatural. His stamina for a big man is unnatural. George had the power that 99% of humans in existence want, but their are a select few in boxing that people compare power with him. With Ali, no one is faster overall, and yes ik he said Patterson was the fastest. He meant hand speed, but Floyd wasn’t super fast going forward or backward. Also with George, that power comes lack of stamina and even fight IQ when the fighter relies on it, which obviously Foreman didn’t do. This video proves that. What Ali had in his prime you can’t have an answer to. You had to be better then him or literally have the greatest one punch power that will ever exist. Big George in his older years had the mentality that could’ve done that in their fight. Prime Foreman with his Old Foreman mindset. That’s scary. But don’t act like Ali didn’t do anything special in his choices. He isn’t just remembered for one thing. It’s almost every year he was around his did something insane. When it comes to boxing smarts, Ali is up there. But the way Foreman was built and how he matured. It would be a much better and longer fight. So no hate here. Ali deserves all the love he gets and got. Don’t speak as if making dumb choices isn’t what almost everyone does. It doesn’t matter what their doing. Dare to be great. It’s super true. And it’s boxing. He got something even fans at that time were worried. It’s not like he got knocked out and went into a coma and passed. Ali dies on his shield and he proves that until he did. I can say the same to Foreman as he’s an incredible person and I hope he lives until 100. Who knows lol

    people hardly ever give Foreman credit for how smart he was as a fighter, his mentor and trainer at one time was Archie Moore. constant pressure, a seek-and-destroy wrecking machine, but methodical and accurate. Always crowded his opponent using his size as a deterrent and absorbing all of the punishment while timing their every move and pounding on them until they couldn't continue. his strength and power were one thing, but he was indeed smart and used it to beat everyone including Michael Moorer for the title.

    When Frazier beat Ali, he gave Ali his rematch.
    When Norton beat Ali, he gave Ali his rematch.
    But when Ali beat Foreman, Foreman demanded a rematch. The Champ ignored it.
    The Great Ali avoided fighting Foreman again, now you know how dangerous this Man was in his Prime.

    He was not a hard puncher, he was a heavy puncher. Heavy punchers don't have that one punch knockout power but they do more OVERALL damage through strength. Strength is not the same as power as power also factors in speed

    • @lukasbarnes
      @lukasbarnes 5 років тому +1

      Yeah power is the mix of speed and strength. Iron mikes considered one of the most powerful punchers because he has crazy speed with respectable strength but wasn’t nearly half as strong as foreman. Tyson was 80-20 speed foreman 80-20 strength. His punches would go through you he wouldn’t retract it so quick, a punch from Tyson would take half a second and wind you, bruise you and whatever else, but foreman? Blunt force trauma, he’d damage your bones and the internals and it’d take him twice as long as Tyson but the damage done is irreversible. I often think Frazier and Ali are no longer with us because they stepped in the ring with foreman😂 I wouldn’t surprise me if both their illness’s was a result of him punching the life out of them haha.

    To all Tyson Fanboys and Foreman Fanboys here, stop making conclusion on who is the better fighter. They never faced each other in the ring so it would be impossible to tell. They have different styles and we all know that in boxing, styles make fights. All we can do is to respect both boxers for what they've done in boxing. Tyson being the youngest HW champ and Foreman for being the oldest. That would be enough for them to be considered as all-time greats, not only in HW division, but in the entire boxing history as well.

    • @TFB97
      @TFB97 Рік тому

      True but Tyson was way faster than Joe, more durable, much better defence, hit harder, had two handed power and had better ring IQ. So its not that straightforward. Although I believe George does beat Mike.

    • @TheNEOverse
      @TheNEOverse 8 місяців тому

      @@TFB97 More durable? Tyson could be everything else you said, but he doesn't strike me as being more durable than the dude that just wouldn't stop getting up no matter how badly he was being brutalised. And he is both smaller and lighter than Joe, so I don't necessarily think he hits harder.
      Tyson struggled with clinching rough house fighters that just smothered him whenever he tried getting in. Foreman is an absolute master of exactly that- he'd bully Tyson.
