Correct. The radio in this car was installed by the dealer (Carroll Shelby’s Hi-Performance Motors) for the original owner.
Never have I ever seen a Gt-350 with black everything exhaust. I’ve worked on many 65’s, some with less than 10k miles. Though that is a nice build, it is NOT correct! I’ll bet “my” 65 on it!
Colin addressed this same comment on the SAAC forum explaining that this deviation was a personal preference on a driven car. Not as built from SA.
Where is the other guy he spoke to my nerd car detail
Sam Smith, he should present all these
Great car for sure, but I like my 69 Mach 1 more :- )
The 69 Mach 1 is a different car than a first gen GT 350. My M code has more comfortable seats, PS, PB, Hurst Comp Plus, stereo. The GT 350 is a beast that requires the drivers attention all the time. Performance was priority, period.
Great car but id still rather have my 67 impala!
I respect your devotion to the Bowtie brand. Some Mopar people would rather drive a slant six aspen wagon than a GT40.
You keep saying NINETEEN 65 as if there was an 1865 or 2065 mustang.
What other century would this "65" mustang be from ??
@@grievuspwn4g3 yes i am .... i dont go around saying i have 1998 or a 2014 ... i say its a 98 Supra or 69 ss camaro or 14 mercedes.
What other year could it be that i need to specify that its from the 1900's .. AS IF ANYONE would think that its an 1865 or 2065 ....
@@ACommenterOnUA-cam You need to get out more.
Perfect Sunday morning drive and cruise night car? For approx. $400K U.S.? Not anymore...LOL!
But it has a radio!
I thought he said the gt350 did not have a radio. This one did.
This car happens to have a dealer installed radio as quite a few did. But they left Shelby without radios.

Thanks for the reply.
had a 69 GT 500 red 4 - speed .girls liked the 69 corvette convt 4 - speed better
Bring back the old host, much better than this old posing man
The issue I have is the director and editor need a crash course in post... these off angle cutaways are distracting and take away from the content. Not great!
$500,000 right???? and OBidumm got HOW many votes...??
That Vin tag is it.Same with my super snakes..This is video is for the guys that say they can build a REAL SUPER SNAKE OR A SHELBY GT IN THERE GARAGE.JUST A FACT.
Is it just me or does he sound like he is calling the car a Mustaine?
The car he is driving looks just like 5S089, which just sold for $499,000, which has no stripes, no mirrors and steel wheels. Also, I believe only 27% came from the factory with lemans stripes.
Dave's not here man
@@jasons7070 hahaha! Awesome
I would gamble the license plate is the details you are looking for on this car.
@@Flatlanders_Garage huh?
@@phoenixblack1220 The license plate is 5S156, and though the crew blurred the ID plate under the hood, that license plate seems to match the formula for the ID number you are looking for.
I'd much rather have Sam Smith present every buyers guide video and miss some weeks than get a video every week and have subpar presenters.
4:12 Sub-see-quent?
"Ep. 302"
No one is going to allow a potential buyer to DRILL ON THE VIN PLATE to see what's under it....smh
no easy fix right right .wrong this will cost you all the money you have to put right . nar not for me stick a cast iron top loader in it and be happy
These values make me sad. No one is going to drive these cars at 500k and they just turn into rot with shiny paint in private collections.
Some SAAC members use their cars to get groceries and run errands. Some Classic Ferrari people do that also. That Naples Florida crowd is something else.
Fords and their strange inflation
Even a 'secretary's' version of the '65 Mustang...a 200 I6 with an automatic....is worth money now if in good condition. Original Broncos are worth a lot money now. Falcons are worth money. Hell, even the Torino has a following now. Very strange indeed.
In my case its just nice to drive a car built before the Govt made the manufacturers conform to their rules. Now we have a electronic nightmare surrounded by plastic and twenty air bags.
What better way to spend your PPP loan
Didnt "real" ones have side scoops? This one doesnt
1966 had side scoops. 1965 did not. This particular car has been judged MCA and SAAC Gold level. Rest assured it is very correct.
I enjoyed the Hagerty videos till you put this guy in them . I met him when delivering a LS6 conv. Have a problem it all starts with bob sellers lying to you .
What are you talking about. This dude is not called Bob Sellers.
Jeez he keeps saying “Mus-stain” not mustang and it drives me crazy
This guy scares the s... out of me!
how about creating more videos on great cars normal people can afford?
Its just not possible nowadays, bad time to be a car guy.
They're worth nowhere near 400k
True …and with that said…what vintage collector car is worth the $ of today’s prices ? .. BUT as You know… the question of worth is only what someone CAN afford ! 🤙🏼
@@nickbruni8041 , and how bad they want it.
In the simplest of explanations, there are fewer cars available than there are potential buyers. Can be said for most any collectible.
WELL IF YOU WANT THE REAL DEAL THAT'S WHAT THEY COST LOL IT'S THE SAME THING WITH MY 2 SUPERSNAKES IF YOU WANT A REAL SS GET READY TO PAY BUT ONE THE GREAT THINGS ABOUT A GT350 OR MY SUPERSNAKES IS THE FACT THAT YOU WON'T LOSE MONEY LOL THERE NEVER GOING TO BE A 20 THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR.
Lee iacoca didnt save ford, with the shelby the only reason why the gt 350 existed was to compete with the corvette in nationals , the coupes were made to atract baby boomers not the gt350 , get ur facts straight
Mustain!?
The mustang II was a ugly looking thing it was built off a stretched wheelbase and widened ford pinto platform.
