      Udo nwanne.. I've of my favorites too. We could use some Kéré inspired architects and engineers in the Igbo community.. Also like Miriam Kamara (Niger)... if we could transition to building schools and housing (maybe some hospitals as well) with mud and natural local materials we could use the money saved to invest in other areas like road infrastructure, agriculture, textiles, etc.

      @@Lieu_Tenant_Gambit yes, brother. I wish to see our people go back and develop our traditional building styles rather than mindlessly copy European architecture.
      There are many unique aspects of our architecture that we're missing out on.
      Moreover, our native architecture is actually best suited for our climate.
      Thank you for the recommendation, I'll definitely check her out. I'm on the lookout for similar architects.

      @@ObinnaOkehie are you in school for architecture?

    • @ObinnaOkehie
      @ObinnaOkehie 5 місяців тому

      @@Lieu_Tenant_Gambit no. I'm just interested in architecture.
      But you never know; one day I could decide to get some kind of formal education in architecture.

    Thank you, Mr. Francis Kéré, from the land of men and women of integrity. That is the meaning behind the name of his country, Burkina Faso, the country of the legend Thomas Sankara.

    Kwese inspired me to walk back to my home town and ply my training in pharmacy to try and seek our natural plant remedies to drug resistant bacterial infections..I may not get popular like him but his bravery boosted me

    Africa can be proud of his own. Let Africa as a hole trust their own more, and teach others the wisdom they have. Thank you Francis for your lessons you learn us here in the western world, not to believe in cheap and quick.

    Really wish he could come back to Burkina Faso and help build. Maybe work with the government to build schools, cheap housing, hospitals, museums, universities, etc.

      If he were such a genius, he would see how he is being used to cause more division. He is an example of Brain drain by marrying a white wmn. His lineage will be white washed. 12:00

    Why did she cut him off when he attempted to speak on Brain Drain? He is the epitome of brain drain.

      well, if you are serious, that means you don't understand what de brain drain means. He is not. He is the one that improved his own community with his own brains and his sense of responsibility.

      Your English involves several errors. Let's not uphold Imperialist ideals. He is not an Englishman, don't expect him to sound like one. Also, he speaks at least 4 languages. How many do you speak?

      I know your life is miserable and you had to make this comment to feel better about how useless you are... but don't be such a hater. It's really a degrading image for you.
