One day they will realize there’s more money to be made filming the journey for treasure than the actual treasure. Sooo much room for more content. I’d love to see the process of cleaning these up. Also, low grade Opal and chips are begging for a Patreon community with ‘free’ giveaways. At $5-$15 each member adds up to real quick, like a steady paycheck. If I lived in Australia, I’d come negotiate a deal with these guys to do their social media for cut.

I can explain that hahah. Basically if for some reason the hoist bucket gets stuck or malfunctions that’s your only access hole. Meaning you’re trapped underground with no reception. The hoist on occasion will get stuck up the top and can come rocketing back down if that hits you when your climbing back up, your gone. If the drive belts slip if or the cable gets tangled up or somthing else and the bucket gets stuck half way up the shaft, no way around it and if it lets go then again crushed. Hope that answers the question :)
Hello. At I think 12:34 when you shine the black light around. There is a darker green tint to that bit. Is it just different minerals that make it a different color?
Sometimes the fluorescence can have a bit of a green tinge, just the wavelengths I think, but yes the different minerals in the ground can all produce different colours under a black light, some are crazy different - check rubys out under a black light !

as I've seen in comments, if you just had chest or helmet mounted go pro recording, either voiced or not voiced, a lot of people would watch. doesn't even have to be edited. i know a small streamer, whom posts stream vods, its about gaming, But basically the same concept. posting unedited/raw footage, i would watch them too, over time!!
@@forrestking1760 I guess that might be worth a shot. Next time I head out I’ll check a pov helmets GoPro on and just record till the battery dies. The biggest problem is it’s just super repetitive, dig shift the dirt dig shift dirt ect. Even if we find anything the GoPro is no good at capturing the opal you’d just see somthing in hand but wouldn’t be able to make out really what it is or see the colour like you do on these videos where we use a proper camera with a macro lense for all the close ups. Would that be somthing you’d still watch ?

Also I trust you guys, and most of us do. So no macro lenses needed, ofc if it’s super coloured or a 10,000 piece, you can also edit the end, and show some pictures. After u get back, or don’t haha 🤣
Yeah it’s better to see with full lights on, we have done it before but the UV lights do affect your eyes after long exposure so we try to minimise it, we will go over a pile after we dig it and pick anything out we missed

Dig a 10-20M Shaft where I live in England, you will hit Coal Seams and a lot of Methane!

If only, the videos we have tried that on get very little views and overall UA-cam then shows our channel to less people.
@@younggunsopalhunters you could have a second channel, that u can just post raw vods on, won’t ruin ur main channel or demographic.
Just set it and forget it, takes up less time, and eventually it will grab more views or watch time, also second income.
