I remember the day I got both Croc games for £1 each in a charity shop, it was awesome ;w; I didn't know about the regional differences! Great work on this!
It's insane how low your view counts are man. I've been watching UA-cam content and gaming content for years, back in the screw attack days. I've seen many channels grow over the years, from AVGN to The Completionist, seeing Happy Video Game Nerd reinvent himself to Stop Skeletons from Fighting. Long story short, I hope you blow up soon. Your content is always intriguing and well presented. Love the work!
Omggg, I love Croc so much! Well, except for the cheap instant deaths, and how the game screws you over in certain areas when it fails to communicate what you're supposed to do, or that whatever exit you go in is one way (looking at you, secret level in one of the Desert areas levels, and the minigame level in Dante's Castle)
I thought I was a major Rayman fan when I was young, but I just found out that Rayman had a TV show through you. I always never fail to learn new stuff from each of your videos.
" The Year of the Electric Can Open- WOHOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAH~ " I am trying not to wake up the whole street. Croc is such a great romp, but I completely agree, the feeling on 100% is always... mixed. My take away is always that the full completion bonus is not worth it. Play to the end, get the Gobbos if you feel like it, but otherwise just reach the end. I find taking this approach is the BEST approach, especially on frequently revisits.
This was such a great video! Really looking forward to what you think about Croc 2, I think that's a more interesting game because it's more ambitious but maybe in parts a little bit too ambitious to the point where several of its ideas don't quite work as well as they should. I love the way that you curve the edges of the gameplay in your videos too, makes the footage look sleek and kinda like it's on a CRT too, awesome stuff!
I remember seeing Croc in ads back in the day, but never actually played any of the games. I had no idea Argonaut was the developer. Crazy! Do you know if Dylan Cuthbert was on the dev team for it? Nice work on this man!
Ayyy, thanks. And no, Cuthbert wasn't involved with the development of Croc. While I'm sure he was present during the early stages, he'd leave Argonaut in the mid-nineties to work with Sony to develop Blasto and he'd soon after establish Q-Games.

@@CalcomYT ahhhh gotcha, I knew about Q Games, but had no idea he made Blasto. Really interesting! That would be a pretty cool video topic. 👍
