Just know that when he recorded this, he was feeling the same as you. This is why Chris was so amazing. He touched your soul with his words and voice. Much Love💚💜
This man has created the soundtrack of many lives..We won't see this musical genius for ions/generations to come. A beautiful spirit was stripped from the world the day he passed. We still and always will remember you Chris💔🙏🏽
Great reaction! Chris’s lyrics r so deep. ‘The day I tried to live’ is a companion song to this one. Also my favorite live performance of his is ‘When I’m Down’ live at the Troubadour. It will blow you away and more deep lyrics 🙂 PS you reacted to Chris’s cover of Nothing compares to you 2 years ago and u loved it!
Having art or music that reflects your emotions can be so powerful, especially if you find it difficult to identify or express your inner emotions like I do sometimes. I suffer from anxiety too so I can relate to how you feel, and I want to thank you for opening up and sharing about your experiences. You are not alone. And thanks so much for reacting to this song, it's been one of my favourites since I first heard it in the 90's (yes, I'm THAT old lol). It was exactly the song I needed to hear at that time and it seems like it's that for you now too :)
You are the first person I have ever seen react to this song. This song has great meaning for me. When it was out, my baby brother fell from a tree at age 10 and died of a head injury. I was 24. And we were more like mother and son than siblings. And when he passed, I fell on Black days.
I know the feels, and have spent many sleepless nights. I'm much older now and much more at peace these days... Tyler Joseph writes about his (darkness to daylight) fears in "Ode to Sleep". It's well worth watching the official version for deeper insight into the band (he and Josh Dun on drums); Twenty One Pilots. Keep on rockin' it, JB! ;)
JB, love the geniune reaction, as always. As a mid-70's baby growing up early 90's, I loved SuperUnknown by Soundgarden, selftitled by Korn, Ten by Pearl Jam etc. But Chris is something special, RIP. Hope this song inspires, keep up the great reactions mate, love.

Listening to this again it brings tears to my eye's when this album came out i was going through the most bleak dark times in my life people dieing and other issues but here i am happy to be alive all these years later 👍✌️🤘
I hope your going to be okay, I have alot of dark days. I listen to music ( mostly grunge) lots of emotions and passion in their music, very relatable I hear ya!! Just want to say music heals!! Awesome reaction! Thank you for sharing this 😊💓🤘✌️

Nice reaction. Some people like drowning out dark feelings with the saccharine, but I always preferred songs I can relate to in darker times. Seems you are in the same boat.
I have bipolar disorder #2 and I have a lot of black days. Everything seemed fine the night before, but when I woke up something changed and I'm now down in a pit of despair that may last for days if not weeks. It's frustrating. It's not a pleasant way to live. Medication helps some but it's not a cure.
Pretty bullet, just wanted to send some love ur way. I also suffer frm bipolar 2 & major dep. Not a lot of people kno or talk about 2. The focus has always bn on bipolar 1. It is hell never knowing whn that pits gonna open & for how long. U live day to day. Wanted to tell u to take care of urself & ur not alone. 💕
I don't think you have listened to this song. "Man in the Wilderness" by Styx 1977 is a earlier example of great music like this. Highly recommend it for you. I would listen to the original if possible and not the live versions. Headphones a must. Good to see you enjoying music still. Lot's more great stuff out there.
I wish I could come through that screen and help you with your dark moments, but all I can say is to keep your head up and keep going there's hopefully a better tomorrow...R.I.P Chris Cornell what a voice
Arnold brother i have the same feeling i wish i could reach out grab James and pull him out of the screen and take him around our beautiful country Aotearoa new zealand and show him how good life can be if given the opportunity he (James) deserves as much HAPPYNESS as the world can Chuck his way. Chris Cornell had the most amazing voice and songwriting ability. He was an incredible talent. We miss him so much.
