Is you motor mount under there, I am also pulling my motor next Sat, and was gonna take manifold off so that mount is easier, 1991 35 searay. Or did u already take the nut off
The back motor mount is actually on my transmission so I am propping the engine by the manifolds so I can get the transmission out and put it on the new engine prior of dropping it in but somehow I’m going to create a stand for the engine so I can also remove the front motor mounts too because the new engine doesn’t come with any
Yup straight shafts, its that port side front outside mount where it's a little tight under, I guess really it's how much do you use the jack to get it out vrs setting it back in. Also I just watched your manifold video, I had 5.0 on my last boat and they had the long bolts, so I would use the bolts with the heads cut off for guides, I was so pissed when I realized these were short bolts, but I would think it would still work, I will let you you know.
Oh yeah you’re right like the studs instead of the bolts I guess that is easier! Kinda awesome we are doing the same thing at the same time lol, my boat is still on the water so I am using a crane to remove the engine and put the other one in so I am stripping this engine all the way down so I can have the new engine that is coming in ready as possible. I’ll post as much as I can! Keep in touch I want to know how you project go! You in Florida?
@@Cruisingthesouth I see, I am going to pull old first, I just got the boat last year, so I want time with the extra space to really clean the engine bay, re do all the grounds, finish redoing all the packing, replace oil lines on other engine, small leak, then drop new engine in, by new engine I'm stripping this one, and sending it out to get redone. Also I'm up in the Chesapeak, my brother in laws are in Florida though.
☹️ ohhh you didn’t watch till the end! Lol just kidding 😄 but I mentioned in the end that it is a scrap motor I was just putting them back to help for support
