Thank you for this video. I have this hoop for my 4 x 4 and it is placed differently than what you show. The brim clip-on side is opposite of the tighening screw not opposite to the snap-on (hoop connection) side and therefore will not touch the machine. I hope I am exclaiming it correctly. Perhaps I have a different brand, Anyway I appreciate the videos you do. Has helped me so much.

Just obtained my hoop, alignment is easy enough. Works with all baseball caps (se600). Unfortunately, it doesn't work on flatcaps. The pattern would end up too high and on the middle of the top of your head instead of on the front of the cap, so I just opted to do a patch for it.

Honestly hats and reasonably priced don’t mix. If you want to do none structured hats one at a as time this is your best priced option. If you want a hat embroidery business I would suggest the Ricoma Mt-1501.

Just got my machine for Christmas...haven't unboxed it yet because it's a little intimidating. What digitizing software would you recommend for a beginner? I'm tech savvy and definitely want to grow as an embroider.

Yes. Just have to hoop it properly.

@adubbproductions - love your videos! Was about to dive in and purchase a $1k machine (and I see your affiliate links, more than happy to support). Any thoughts on SE600 vs PE800 to start off doing hats (or maybe going to something in the $1k-$2k range)? Also, the adhesive method you use looks awesome vs others pinning. Any advantage to pinning vs this? Adhesive looks much easier. Thanks again!
What's the difference in all the hats? Ball cap, dad hat, trucker hat, etc? New to embroidery, want to learn and create some cool stuff!
Ball caps are structured, dad hats are slouchy and have no structure like the ones I have in the video a trucker hat has the foam in the front with the plastic type mesh in the back and sides.
What program do you think is best for making your own design into a PES format? My son has designs he would like me to embroider on hats and other things but I don't know what program is best for this.
Can you clamp the hoop vertical? Therefore you won’t bump the inside of the machine and have more of a sewing field.

For a new era cap you need a bigger multi needle machine. These will only do non structured caps.
I am bouncing between the Brother se600 and the 800? Price being my biggest hang up for a starter machine. The 800 would also delay me a few months to save more cash.
That's a huge decision. Think about what your goals are and get the machine that works best for what you are trying to accomplish. the se600 sews and embroiders the pe800 is embroidery only.

To begin my girlfriend has been looking into many embroidery machines to start her own clothing business and you have by far been the most informative and helpful channels and resources. She just purchased the pe600 and is now looking for all the accessories necessary. Do you have any specific recommendations for thread, usb drives, needles and hoops? And most importantly what software would you recommend for designing graphics and for transferring jpegs to pes files? Thank you again you have truly been the biggest help.

I would suggest the Se1900 at this point. The prices of all of them have gone up and at this point the se1900 is Best Buy for the money.

I’m in the process of purchasing your flash drive on your site with 220 .pes files is this drive good for the pe800 embroidery machine ? Would like to know before purchasing ? And if so do I just plug into the machine or will there be something else I must do to get the image ??
Yes. It is good for all brother machines that take the .pes format. You just plug it into the machine just like in the video and the designs are on there and ready. Nothing extra needs to be done.
Where do you order your hats in bulk? I have yet to find a vendor that has good blanks that fit the average persons head without being too little.

Digitizing software. You click my affiliate link fill out the form they contact you, you pay and they send you the download with your serial number.
You can also get a free trial to try it out first before you pay but you can’t export the design to embroider with the trail version.

Can you do a stiffer flat brimmed fitted hat the same way ?
No. You need a multi needle embroidery machine for structured hats.
The machine ,come with nike design or you must buy yourself?
No it doesn’t came with Nike design. I made it in digitizing software.
