OMG. Brazilian audiences are super fans!! They know the words, sing along. How many times does the average fan see this and learn the lyrics??
This would drive me freaking crazy unless it was a designated sing along showing. The Broadway in me was SHOOK to hear this audience reaction and all the phones. Different countries and cultures and norms though.
Musical theatre has been growing a lot in Brazil for the last 10-15 years and the fans were overjoyed when Wicked was annouced to be played in 2016. In the closing show during DG, they spontaneously sang along with Myra Ruiz during her flight. It was amazing, people were in ecstasy and later Myra said it had been the best day of her life.
Now in 2023 the closing show was again very special to the fans and the production decided to give this reprise of DG as a treat to them. During the actual play people were very silent and respectful. By the time it ended, all crew was presented and received all our love and greetings. Then the producers announced the reprise and told us all to feel free to stand up, sing along and film the performance. It was an out of this world experience and everyone in that audience was so thrilled and in tears by the end! An unforgettable experience, I’ll surely remember it for good.

That’s so lovely and a great way to acknowledge the fandom and the actors while also maintaining the integrity of the actual performance by doing this afterwards. How cool. Its funny how cultures are different! Us brazilians cant believe how audiences for other countries can stay quiet in shows and stuff, for us its a natural reaction sing along and scream

Fabi e Myra nao estavam aguentando se olhar sem cair na gargalhada. Dava pra ser a felicidade delas, que lindo!!!!!! ❤

it was kind of a bonus track of the show
This was the Licensed Non-Replica Production. There have only been 4 of these productions as the licensing rights & requirements are damn near impossible!
Mad props to the producers & creative for not only getting the rights, but still keeping true to the OBC & still able to give the fans worldwide a fresh new look at the show!

depois dos agradecimentos de toda a produção elas refizeram o número como uma espécie de agrado aos fãs do musical
@@micostatbia até criticar a atuação, pq estavam fingindo atuar em alguns momentos e jogando para o público. Mas como foi pós espetáculo completo, aí dá até pra entender.

foi maravilhooooso! tava todo mundo liberado pra cantar, não ia estragar a experiência de ngm e de quebra podia gravar tb pra deixar esse registro…foi incrível
