A change up seeing Dash with the others! Is he getting more...not comfortable but tolerant maybe?...of spending time with the pack? Or does he still prefer to be on his own? I had a chow mix about 10 years ago and she tolerated other dogs but didn't want to really interact too much with them lol
We’re working on it! It’s harder when Michael isn’t home. Typically we love to have Dash in the yard with them for play time or on pack walks but since Leroy’s legs have sorta given out, it’s hard for me to support him and leash Dash at the same time. When Michael is home it’s a lot easier! But usually for morning pees after Leroy has done his business I can go get Dash. He’s still reactive towards Leroy :( so I have to be careful, but we are trying our best!

How's Oaky adjusting to his new food?
He lovessssssssss it. I’m not sure if it’s helping per say but he is looking better. Hoping it’s helpful in the long term.
A quick unrelated question, I noticed that you edit with the track-pad and no mouse, is it easier for you? Have you tried using a mouse? As a programmer(and photography-enthusiast) I cannot imagine how much more difficult it may be... It can save you so much time and arm-ache, of you get used to it
How do you battle the "dog smell" in your home?
I use a diluted bleach mixture on my floors periodically, always vacuuming, dog beds and blankets are on a constant laundry rotation, I do 2-3 loads per day. Living Room rug is washable. Honestly I just do my best. The dogs are really clean, they don't get into dirt or anything outside. I'm sure it smells sometimes like dogs, but I'm not a of perfumed smells (because of Oaks' skin) I also love a cleaner called KOE. They use it in kennels/vet offices!
I'm hoping the way I say this (uh,oh),is received with the intention behind it (curiosity and welfare). Obviously the internet is only a 1 dimensional view of your life . However, I just wonder whether having all the pups with all their unique needs is good for YOUR welfare? I always sense this sadness in you, I have bipolar, so I get that. I know my capabilities are reduced, at times, because my mental health is not linear, and so I've had to make some tough choices in order to look out for my own welfare. I definitely could not do what you do with the dogs, and I admire your resolve, I just wonder how you feel about it all. Sent with love. ❤
Hi ❤️ the dogs give me purpose. Without this life I would be so lost. Am I a little overwhelmed right now? Yes. I do think 5 was my maximum, and now with 6 it is too much. But at the moment it is what it is. I’m happy we took in Leroy and I wouldn’t change a thing but in the future I will probably remain at 4/5 dogs. I promise you though, if I’m helping less dogs I’m just going to be an even sadder person lol. This is my calling/destiny.
@@TashaLeelyn It's good you've figured out your limit for the future. It's hard to get the balance in life when you're a giving person. I've learned the hard way to balance how I give in accordance with my own needs and not at the detriment of them. I know you know this, but I just wanted you to know that the people who have toxic and dysfunctional families see you. You're not alone in whatever internal battles you deal with. You're OKAY. I'm cheering for you and the pups from the sidelines. Much love. 🫶
❤ Its like watching The Brady Bunch...a blended family of 6 kids ! Whew 😅. Yah you seem determined but tired too. I'm tired just watching you. Just wondering if you have ever considered getting some smaller dogs next time?? It seems like they wouldn't be sooo much work, but maybe I'm wrong. Your dogs are all sooo lucky because I know chances of being adopted when you're big & a senior with medical issues goes wayyy down so GOD BLESS YOU !🐕🦴🙏💗
