RICHARD I liked your video so much I had to watch it again , and I just want to say I will 72 years old august 30 , and I fished some of the BASS TOURNAMENTS BACK IN THE EARLIY 80's and have watched lost of Bill Dance , Roland Martin . Jimmy Houston and numerous others but bay far you are the best fisherman I have every had the opportunity of watching . You really love what your doing and the sport of fishing . You are a asset to the sport of fishing. Life is good!!!
At 22:59 was definitely a red eye. Catch tons of them on the cahaba. But small. I fish all over fresh and salt but creek fish ing brings me back to my sand mtn roots!!!
That did look a lot like a redeye bass, but all the literature on them says they only live in the Coosa river drainages. I've caught a few on the other side of the mountain in the creeks headed toward Attalla.
I really enjoyed this video. Me and my dad use to wade slab creek bream fishing and that was some of the best fishing brought back some good memories for me. Be safe and God bless.
This is my favorite creek video of yours Richard. Thanks for everything you do for all us bank fisherman. I'm pretty sick right now and your channel helps when I'm stuck in the house not feeling well. So I always take your advise when I'm feeling up to it. I go FISHING WHEN I CAN 'CAUSE IT'S GOOD FER ME! God bless ya buddy. ✌
I love watching your fishing chanel. I have really learned a lot about crappie sense I have found your vedios .Thanks for taking the time to show your wisdom and experience.
I can do sauger. Unfortunatly we don't have walleye here. I will deffently be doing some sauger fishing this winter if you would be interested in that. Thank you for watching Dawson!
Great video Richard Gene. Don't know what anybody cood leave a bad comment on this channel for. From what I've seen, you throw more back than you keep. Which is good cause you got to save sum for seed
You ARE a machine! I was creekin near West Fork, AR on Tues, real clear water, and those fish were BORED. Couldn't even get their attention, regardless what I threw. LOVE THE VIDS!
Me and Mawgwe have been missing your videos. Hoping nothing wrong. Mawgwe never misses a show. Calls me in everytime theres something he wants me to see. We love crappie the best. Big ole bluegills run a close second. We were wondering about how to fillet catfish in the kindest manner. I swear they live for two days.we can,t stand filleting a fish thats still alive. Can you do a show on how to humanely do a catfish.
Thank you Melinda! To be honest, I don't eat catfish at all. I never really liked the taste of em. I know what you mean though, they are very tough fish. Sorry i couldnt be of some more help
Whoo!, Thanks Mr. Richard. Too real. My dearest friend and partner in all things in nature fishes about every day, and fully appreciates the whoo! Thanks for the best expression of a natural man. Please keep them coming. I will absolutely share you with the buddies
One time a few years ago, i let a buddy of mine convince me to float that very creek in the spring of the year when the water was up. You talk about an adventure. I was in a solo canoe, and there was a few times i wondered if i would make it out alive lol. The whole reason my buddy wanted to fish this creek was to see if it had smallmouth in it. We didn't catch any that day, but i did lose one at my feet that was very suspiciously bronze. It seems you may have answered our question. Either that creek has smallmouth, or some variant of redeye bass that look like smallmouth. Anyway, great video. Keep them coming.
Thank you Turbo Gti! Its funny you say that because back when I use to fish this area, I never caught or seen a smallmouth in this creek. This video is the first time I have fished this creek in years, and I was VERY surprised to see that their are smallmouth in it! Not sure when they appeared here but I Do know they wasnt always here. Thank you for watching!
I love Richard’s videos! They keep me going fishing which as you know... is goood fer ya! This video made me want to go to where he was at and pick up trash; dang people pick up your garbage! Keep up the good work Richard Gene!!
Richard you make me wish I was young and healthy again lol I miss going down to the creek. Me and the wife are going to take our lil boat out in the morning tomorrow but ill be so stoved up and hurting when were done. I won't go again for a month. Love the videos keep up the good work bud :)
Do you just let the worm sit and do its thing? I realize you probably don't start rolling the camera until you get a fish on, but a short demonstration of what to do with the bait in the water would be helpful. Thanks for sharing buddy.
I make a cast, let it hit the bottom on a slack line, If I don't get a bite withing about 5 seconds I'll Move the worm a little and I just keep repeating that. Thank you for watching PJ!
Excellent Richard !! I don't know where you are exactly ( none of my business ) But I know we are close and sooner or later may cross paths . Great videos buddy
looked like a smallmouth, around here a red eyed bass is a rock bass, like watching you and how you continually teach, my niece is learning a ton from you, thanks
The one thing i like about this channel is that you fish the old school way using crawfish , minnows, worms . i rather watch this style fishing over most of these other bass fishing channels. Keep em coming.
Every now and then I can find it at walmart. They don't stock it often, and even when they do its only 3or 4 at a time. I also buy it off amazon.com. Thank you for watching Barry!
Wow what a beautiful creek. I wish I lived near small mouth country. lol I managed to rig up some crappie jigs with your dental floss method. Works great.
This is located in chigger hill i beleive its called. Take a left at Geraldine light ( foward would be fyffe) and you will cross a bridge this creek runs under that bridge.
Thanks a ton for that one. Reminds me of my teenage years wading the creeks in Northwest Madison County. Done got too old and give out for that now but I'm still chasing them Crappie ever chance I get. Keep them good videos coming.
