    That’s how I’m trying to export my Projects for finishing but in to Studio One. I agree with you on starting on the MPC, theres way more pros than cons to me. Since I started using the MPC I don’t really make beats in the DAW anymore. nice track too. 🔥🔥🔥

    Would you agree it is the sonics of old MPCs is better then a DAW? I don't know I don't have one.

    • @PetrolMediaInc
      @PetrolMediaInc  4 місяці тому

      Honestly that’s subjective because I’ve been able to make that sound in the daw. But, the timing and feel is what I think everyone’s really chasing.

  • @BeastmodeBeats
    @BeastmodeBeats 3 місяці тому +1

    Do you recommend using the mpc live? Which MPC would you buy for your first drum machine, which one will keep up with the times? And do these samplers use nvme drives?

    • @PetrolMediaInc
      @PetrolMediaInc  3 місяці тому

      @@BeastmodeBeats if I was starting today, I would recommend an mpc One or a live 2. The studio 2 is a good choice for beginners as well if you have a laptop. Not sure about the new ones using nvme. The old ones would require adapters. They are all IDE. So you would go from ide to sata then to nvme. But honestly ssd is more than fast enough.

    Thanks for the video brother. What is the strategy behind using the laptop?

    • @PetrolMediaInc

      Nothing special. It’s what I’ve used for a long time. It’s a 16” MacBook Pro with an i9 processor and 16gb of ram. It works no issue. I’ll replace it eventually but one of my kiddos broke the screen so it stays home for now.
      My main thing was that it’s loaded and works. If I upgrade, which I’ll eventually do, I’ll have to replace some things.

    Can you mix rnb and rap songs with a 2 track audio?

  • @le-berry

    Logic is software running on hardware..... MPC-X is hardware which runs software...... There is no difference at all.... like zero.... You can do exactly the same on both.....

    • @PetrolMediaInc
      @PetrolMediaInc  4 місяці тому +3

      I hear you. But that’s not entirely true. Though the new MPC three software is getting very close to a complete 100% DAW feel, the previous MPC 2 SOFTWARE was not close enough to call it a true DAW.
      I do agree with you. They both do the same thing and to be honest with you working with the hardware by itself is a lot of fun regardless. but in a pinch and when I have a deadline, there’s slim to no chance that I’m gonna turn on the hardware first even though I prefer it when I know that logic Pro X is 1000% more powerful and does way more

    • @PetrolMediaInc
      @PetrolMediaInc  4 місяці тому +2

      @@le-berry to give you an example, about 3 years ago, I was tasked with mixing down a 93 person choir during Covid. Each singer was sent a reference track by me and they sent me back their individual vocals because we were all in lockdown to record. I tracked everything in and matched it up with an additional 70 tracks from the orchestra of the same group. Logic Pro X handled all of that without a single hiccup. There is no chance that the MPC 2 or 3 software is handling all of that without crashing, including all the processing on every track and the buss processing and the master channel fc. It’s not the same thing.

    • @mixedbyv
      @mixedbyv 4 місяці тому +2

      You both make great points. Depending on your work flow- a combination of both is always best imo. It’s like an hybrid recording studio with analog gear and software. It’s the same for making beats. Some argue vst are great some say analog is the way. At the end of the day make music! Great video

      DAW simply means digital audio workstation. MPC 2 software IS a DAW, just not the most powerful on the market and wasn't really meant to be.
      Different DAWs have different focuses and consumer targets. Logic Pro is meant to be an all in one solution.
      MPC software initially focused on beat making, but is gradually becoming an all in one solution.
