    Hijab is not a choice it is compulsory in Islam . Now it is your choice to obey the god and get paradise or not obey him and get nothing but his anger

    It's odd to me to draw a line at the face when you don't want to show off your "body". Look at all the songs written about the beautiful/sexy facial features. Tradition is fine, but when should you question what you are doing and how it relates to social norms. Perhaps it wasn't explained well enough?

    • @youteubakount4449
      @youteubakount4449 Рік тому +5

      because none of these women gave the real reason you should wear hijab: because Allah said so. When you only do it for tradition, traditions change over time and space, and opinions about what is acceptable or not vary.
      If you're muslim, you truly believe Allah knows us better than we ever could, and the rules he devised for us are the best to follow as a community and as individuals to have a hope of reaching paradise while living decent lives.
      Also there are differences of opinion about wearing a face-covering or not for women, so muslim scholars actually debated this issue.

      You probably say that because nudity (and thereby also the objectification) of women has become so normalised to the point where seeing women willingly covering themselves is "extreme". And assuming you're male, it's definitely not surprising you would say that; who benefits from women walking around naked, but the eyes of men?

    • @muffaloaf
      @muffaloaf Рік тому +3

      @@mariaelyoussif no, not at all. I think modesty in a woman is honorable. Saying that, I also believe that NOT wearing a scarf over one’s head and/or face is NOT considered nudity. The head scarf thing doesn’t bother me so much. It’s the covering of one’s face that’s bothersome . IMO, it’s dehumanizing.

      @@muffaloaf I never said not wearing a scarf is nudity, but nowadays there's an *oversaturation* of nudity to the point it's become the norm for women -- and the more it's normalised, the more modesty will seem crazy in society. Even though it's not a command for Muslim women to cover their faces, the women who choosingly cover fully will tell you that they feel empowered to have full control over who gets to see their bodies and beauty. IMO it's dehumanising for me as a female to only be judged by how I look, I want people to talk to me and respect me (or not respect me) based on my character instead.

    • @muffaloaf
      @muffaloaf Рік тому +1

      @@mariaelyoussif I agree with everything you just said, but FEELING empowered is not the same as BEING empowered. Also, in order for me to respect someone on a personal level I have to at least see their face!
