I will second the comment about being worried there would be no more content of SC1 vs SC2. I watch every one of your videos but these have brought some life into me. I do not care if its exactly balanced, I just love it
For anyone wondering, HonMono is the best Japanese SC2 player. He's been around for a long time, but never broke through into the pro scene. I'm a huge fan, and I can't wait to see how this turns out. Rogue is the clear favorite, but since Rogue is playing BW zerg, I'm betting on our Terran hero. GLHF!
This mod is really popular in Korea even though it is a bit quiet from western casters except Tasteless. This tournament in korea was viewed by over 7,000 people live and I was there! It was the most popular streaming channel at the time of streaming on that navar website!
BW cracklings are on a different level of deadliness. They rip through everything so fast XD The BW Ultras on the other hand look much scarier but are not very good. Also, BW Marines sound so much better ngl. Their gun shots sound much more metallic than sc2 Marines and their stim sounds are amazing. Overall, I find that the unit designs and audio in BW are much better than sc2 ones.
I agree with nearly all of the sounds, but i feel like SC2 improved the design of many units, ESPECIALLY Siege Tanks. God they looked awful in BW, even though they sounded so cool! Other units ended up looking worse (like Carriers). Overall I give both games a tie on unit design.
Ghosts are soooo broken in SC2 it’s easily the hard counter to defilers. I mean I suppose you can try to out range the snipe and go lurker hydra ling with lots of plague and dark swarms. Rogues defiler play was pathetic sadly so I’m not sure the Terran needed the ghosts what he needed was a counter to the mutas maybe libs maybe Vikings? If they try to dive on either target some widow mines.
Yeah he kept forgetting to build Scarabs. Clearly it is not an Autocast feature, or he'd have simply enabled it. They likely left it like that to give the BW Protoss more to do, as they rely less on casters and ability micro than the SC2 Protoss.
@@ZC.Andrew The scarabs were built automatically with autocast feature but they changed it to manual just in the previous patch! But they allowed it so that you can still build scarabs while reaver is in the shuttle.

Vulture: Similar in role to Hellion, but single target. their Thing is dropping 3 mines per unit, which targets grounded enemies, detects cloaked Siege Tank: Basically the same but lower supply, slightly cheaper, lower RoF Goliath: Anti air specialist but can also shoot ground units. Wraith: Fragile harass, can cloak. Does more AA damage than AG damage. Valkyrie: Anti "fighter" type splash Battle cruiser: Yamato, but a much slower unit. science vessel: caster and detector, irradiate (250 dmg to biological units DoT AoE), EMP (removes all shield and energy in AoE), D Matrix (gives unit 200 hp shield) Dropship: slowish transport

Cracklings, Reavers, Arbiters, and Science Vessels are the most annoying SC1 units to deal with Also, I wonder if Dark Archon mind controlling an SC2 probe would allow for SC2 Units...?
With the SC2 casting, Ghosts with lockdown will be as well. If Interference matrix was considered powerful, lockdown will be broken considering how cheap SC1 ghosts are.

The broodwar factions always seem to need air and detection to deal with all the sc2 units that have extra abilities. Widow mines Oracles Disruptors ... They all need a hard counter.
Man I really want to see a redesigned OG and BW campaigns. I know there already was a project that did that, but it would be nice to have a full redesign of missions and units.

This is about the 6th iteration I've seen (was busy) Should know they will never accurately portray the differences in click rate -Sidenote, had been going back and watching some of the most popular videos from years ago, I thought so back then and still do now the old overlay was soooo much nicerrr - in some ways the webcam spot too
It's not supposed to be exactly the same, it would be very unfair. Smart casting, no selection limit, select multiple buildings, there are many control improvements. Without those, SC1 races would just get crushed.

Actually Winter, Hellbats do only splash damage, so they are a good counter to Dark Swarm.

My guess is yes.
Technically yes but of much lesser impact because SC2 doesn't support an extra 200 supply per mind control.
