the obvious answer would be that her father (sam colton) who was looking for her to either find her way out of the game or came back and discovered that his daughter was gone or someone else entirely that we don't know yet since they said that there will be more friends/characters included in the official game soon

I'm fairly certain you were right when you said that the code was "He tried to find me". Representing each unique unknown symbol with a letter we get 1e tr2e3 to 41n3 5e. If we assume that 2 is 'I' we get 1e trie3 to 4in3 5e. Further Assuming that 1 is 'H' (as 'we' seems unlikely) we get "he trie3 to 4in3 5e". From here, 3 can only possibly be a 'D'. This shortens the code to "He tried to 4ind 5e". Just from looking at this you an tell the only logical solution is 4 being 'F' and 5 being 'M'. Correct me if I made any mistakes but it seems to make sense given the context of Amanda's dad showing up in the ending of the last game and some of the newspapers/extracts from the bulletin board in the last game.

Regarding the opossum, it's pretty clearly Amanda the Adventurer's version of Swiper. Amanda's based on Dora the Explorer and Wooly is Boots, so the thieving opossum would therefore be Swiper.

Pretty sure we're still playing as Riley from the first game. There were some teaser images revealed that showed the detective from the secret ending showing you some drawings. So I think he took us to the library to investigate the tapes some more.

There were also two of those codes in the first main game hidden on book spines on the shelves. One translates to “Who is Wooly?” And the other seems to translate to “Disappointing Puzzles”

If I remember correctly Sam felt unsure about this whole company that took his show, and that put his daughter (Rebecca/Amanda) through this system. We can be sure he warned Rebecca about how suspicious this is but she probably insisted to keep doing it.
One of the secret tapes from the first game was about the whole "Voice In The Headphone" and Sam told them to stop. He probably didn't want this to happen and tried warning Rebecca but...something happened that made it too late.
I don't know if it is fully right but based on the lore we have, it sorta makes sense?
well if you understand symbol puzzles, "he tried to warn me would not work" since the symbols that represent i and d in "tried" are the same as the symbols contained in what you think is "warn" so warn would not work physically with the puzzle, it is cool to think of it being he tried to warn me, but it physically cannot work :)

Okay, this might be a stretch but I personally think the possum actually represents Hameln. The opening cutscenes in the first game with the logo's brand is (at first glance) a mouse but to me, it kinda looks like a possum in a way. Thought it was a cool idea to me tbh so I figured I'd share it.

Mike I found something a bit funny yet odd that connects the second game’s demo to something you had said in your video about the 1.4 update in the first game. At 3:16 in that video, you said ‘Maybe we can find some change in our couch? I could use a few cents.’ Then in the second game’s demo Amanda finds coins in the couch that the player suggests might be there to her. Just found that a bit strange.

@@Jam-art I have a theory that Rebecca was kidnapped and murdered by a butcher and sold as lamb chops and the studio not wanting to cause a scandal didn't investigate and fired Sam in order to save face. Now Rebecca (haunting the show as Amanda) is reaching out to anyone to save her, Kate being one of the people closest to finding out before disappearing and handing the task over to our player character Riley. I based this theory off the first game's demos hiding secret footage based around meat, with the full game involving Amanda asking questions related to death and her murdering Wooly out of anger. The demos implied she had the butcher kill Wooly as well showing another connection. I don't want to be right but the way she reacted to the word butcher in this demo is too much to ignore.

there's a couple of ways to interpret the message that shows up on the tv on the title screen; it could say "he tried to warn me", maybe saying that Sam tried to warn Amanda about what the studio was about to do to her, _or_ it could say "he tried to warD me", maybe hinting that Sam, Woolie, or even someone else tried to either A. keep her away from Sam/her father (most likely the studio, if that's the case), or someone's trying to ward her off since her physical body is now a literal demon. Idk, we'll just have to wait & see I guess... 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

24:40 looking into the room, to me it sort of looks like a desk area for the librarian. Just a theory, but since we know Aunt Kate was a librarian, what if she knew Amanda/Sam Colton? This would explain that maybe Aunt Kate was looking for Sam Colton and the reason behind his disappearance? If this was the case, then maybe the owners behind Hamlin got rid of Aunt Kate, which is why in the letter she mentions we “won’t see her unless it’s in the next life”.
Wonder if it ties in to a new person messing up the way the books are done, by putting the damaged/mixed up ones back in circulation, too. If this is after Kate has passed/disappeared, this could be her replacement/tied in to the story in a way. Perhaps a Hameln person either leaving clues or leading us to danger.
I feel like you could so much more when Amanda asks you who you want to see. Maybe you could put places and people from the first game like the butcher, Amanda, Kate, the kitchen, or maybe the doll (I forgot the dolls name I think it was greta)

I love how, since this is obviously a play on Dora the Explorer, it adds the opossum as a play on Swiper, and instead of it being an established character is just a weird ass gremlin that crawls out of the cushions to steal your hard earned money.
Cool anyway here is a recipe for fries
2 ½ pounds russet potatoes, peeled

Mike mb try typing in 'possum' or 'opossum' when asking who you would want to visit (mb Amanda will be scared of it & could learn more about it). Could also try typing in Rebecca, Kate (as in Aunt Kate), or Riley.
Theory I've been thinking about, what if the possum is supposed to represent Hamlen and how they've replaced Wooly (Amanda's dad) and have been doing bad things like how they "ate" her coins. It would also explain why Wooly isn't there anymore and why Amanda is yelling at the possum and asking why it's there.
But that's just a theory

"He tried to find me" can be referring to Sam, which i believe is actually amandas dad. He went missing and maybe came back and tried to find her, or since we see a lot of hospital imagery can be that he got hurt trying to find his daughter? Just a thought, but could be something.

Hey Mike! Love your videos man! I just wanted to say a little theory I had in mind since the first video. Since we saw that in the trailer for Ata 2 that the little possum/rat thing can go on two feet, and since it's limbs are all black, I speculated that it might've been Wooly in a costume. Since it stole Amanda's coins, I thought it was Wooly's like payback at Amanda for torturing him so much. This theory is most likely wrong but I wanted to tell you it to know your opinion on it! 😅

It's so satisfying figuring out the code on your own. I actually paused the video just to try to figure it out with the other code and was so happy when I finally got it.
