I can see why people don't like the flipside, there's no jokes or witty comments like Nicole from Jecka but this is her perspective, she wants to go to college so she has to act atleast a little more mature than Nicole

This game was such a disappointment to be honest. The feet endings weren’t played off by humor. It just felt like it was the writers barely disguised f*tish.

idk i thought the game was good. while the foot stuff was weird. the rest of the game was very good. i'll be it mutch darker than the other games. also the class of 09 series wasn't meant to be comedic the author says so after you get all the endings and watch all the video messages

I feel bad for jecka and nicole never gets better shes just so horrible and doesnt show growth jecka seems like the kind of person that wants to do the right thing but gets scared and doesn't fight back probably because of trauma from home. This was honestly so heartbreaking to watch and it just didnt get better as the game progressed.😭😫😫
Just like real life, the point of it was to tell real stories and make a relatable game, I think it could have used some positive endings but oh well.

Nicole was very shitty to almost everyones. In a way she deserved it. Jecka is just pure suffering. She never talked or fight back, the game is so miserable.

I feel bad for Jecka, not sure why this game tries to torture her at every option
watching the game from Jecka's perspective is so much different, despite her and Nicole going through similar experiences, Jecka's is so much more disturbing to watch since she actually reacts normally. Nicole treats everything like a joke so in a way it reminds you that it's just a game and it's not real, but Jecka's humane reactions compared to Nicole's just feel different to watch. The ending with Emily dying in the re-up from self-over dose was horrible, sure, but it didn't make me wince when I looked at the art of her down on the floor since Nicole mumbles on about how cool she is like nothing mattered. but seeing Jecka react emotionally and so humane to someone she hated dying (even if it was for money) was such a big change from Emily overdosing or Kylar breaking his legs, even when Jeffery dying was Nicole's fault. another thing is the difference between Jecka's and Nicole's opinions on selling their bodies. while Nicole uses it to blackmail, openingly guilting Jecka with it and mainly doesn't care too much, Jecka stutters when she talks about it and was completely humiliated to even think about what she was doing.

Without spoiling anything, let me note the differences:
-MC change
-Family Situation is Different
-The tone is different (lot darker, in a different way)
-The timeframe is different
-Modern Slang (later on, slop gets mentioned, canon and a few others I forgot)
And I would describe more but that would spoil things. I think this didnt land for you because you had a preconceived expectation that it would just be Class of 09 again. Its the flipside, the point is that its opposite to Class of 09 in some aspects ⚰️

No duh it was gonna be different. It being weird and massively different in tone in comparison to the standard Class of 09 is to be expected. If you came in with the expectation it was gonna be the same as before, you are forsaken.
All of that is good in theory but is brought down by inconsistent characters and bad writing

The reup is just extra stories set at around the same time as the first game. The flipside has some post graduation stuff but also has parts that take place during the same time as the other games.
i think the timeline is
class of 09: at school
class of 09 re-up: at school (another time)
flip side: after graduation
Flip side school route actually takes place in the Junior Year which was April 2008, you can determine whether you put your friend first or future first

I’ll be honest, this game was really disappointing to me. I played the original and the re up earlier this year and absolutely enjoyed them! Nicole became one of my most favorite visual novel characters of all time, though Jecka is a close second (Yuri is still my #1). So when I heard we’d be getting a third game in the perspective of Jecka, I was really looking forward to this. Fast forward to today and I went ahead and bought this new one. After getting 2 endings, I just couldn’t play anymore of it. I’m usually immune to dark themes and very sexualized content, but this game was just too much for me. The whole foot fetish thing had me cringing the whole time. And when it was revealed that Nicole was doing Jecka’s dad, I just said “aight that’s it, I’m not playing this anymore” It’s very rare for me to stop halfway through a game and give up. I’ve already got a refund for this game, I’m really not proud of having to do that. This game was a fall from grace in my opinion. Sorry to those who do like it, it’s just not for me.
