Very handy! I am following ReOrders Trance&Psy-Trance Bass Masterclass currently and thought maybe melodic techno is a bit easier than trance and here there is video about this genre.

This video is awsome.
First : This Layered bass sounds very good and close to the original Anyma's driving bassline.
Second : You work the fase, and for me low-end's fase is crucial ! Lot of youtube Tutorials apply hard low cut with hard slope without adjust the fase after.
But just one thing. I see all the tutorials use the Tuner to check the Kick's Key ... I personnaly use Spectrum (Span) and check the fondamental. Often the result is not the same as the tuner . Which is the good solution ?

I think best solution is of course using your ears. The phase and resonance spikes issue of course can’t be fixed using ableton only and normally I would use fabfilter pro-q3 and 24db slope and if needed I’d go for linear phase or natural phase. As I said, if it sounds good don’t fix it;)
Oh and for the kick if tuner doesn’t work that is where I go for eq8 or pro-q3 as they both can show you key.

Quick Question …. If you used these techniques on a track at 138 would it result in tech trance? I love this kind of music, but I feel like it would sound mega at 136 - 138 lol
Of course it should work. It might not sound as warm with bass on each 1/16 nite but if you go offbeat 1/16 (1/16 kick, 1/16 space, 2x1/16 bass) it would work well. It’s basically what tech trance does;)

How the hell is he able to use LFO as a oscilloscope? Does someone know how to set that up?
Send the kick and bass to a group, then add an instance of LFOtool to that group. Then you can see the waveform of the two sounds combined
