About three years ago, I used Kelbourne Woolens Scout to make my first sweater ever. It’s very nice yarn at a very reasonable price. My stitches looked perfect, which had everything to do with the yarn and zilch to do with my skills. The color was stunning. The FO looked fabulous on me. After about three wearings, it accidentally got into the dryer and, uhhh… just make sure you don’t do that. ❤️

It was fun knitting dishcloths with you both last Saturday! Glad you found the pattern Kevin. Your brick wall looked great. Ray, you’ve inspired me to explore Tunisian crochet. I love the fabric it creates. Kevin, since you started the naming the sections of your shawl “candy cane” and “mustard”. Even though I love the color combo, the white unnamed section could be mayo! If it’s a bit speckled,, tarter sauce. 😂. Seriously, the colors are wonderful together. Ray, glad you’re listening to your concern subscribers! Safety first! 💕

    Hi both!
Edith Butler is actually a Canadian singer from the Maritime provinces. She’s what we call Acadian, which are the French speaking minority in the East. Since she sings mostly in French, she is well known in Quebec, so Max and Vincent made a fun pun (as they do) but maybe very niche this time around!

Had a fun spending some time with you guys while I knitted and crocheted - it's so fun when someone inspires you, so a big thanks to Ray for mentioning his endeavours with Tunisian Crochet... I had bought all sorts of Tunisian hooks years ago and only tried it a few times, but didn't enjoy it as much as regular crochet or knitting, so they just sat... until you mentioned the dishcloths, and I just picked up a free pattern and am making us some placemats for our kitchen table - I'm already 3/4 through the first one, just listening to you guys (put your podcast on pause, ran to the stash and got my equipment and then continued with you in Tunisian, lol). Having fun with this, and it really is great just hearing about all the different projects and craft tries and life chat. Cheers guys! Have a great holiday getaway! Judith 💜💚

Kevin, you might be seeing candy canes, ketchup, and mustard, but your Twists and Turns looks very Gryffindor-ish to me, it’s gorgeous!

I started last year Tunisian crochet to make my granddaughter a blanket enjoyed it but it used so much yarn for only few inches that reverted back to knitting corner to corner 2 stripe in her chosen colours Eucalyptus green & musk pink it’s coming on nicely back to Tunisian for another project ( sleeveless vest ) as a layer look maybe !
See you next time belated Happy Easter 🐥🐣

Hello! I have been watching almost since the beginning, first time commenting. Just thinking how much I always enjoy even though I don’t knit 😂…I’m a crocheter. I finally ordered a set of Chiagoo interchangeables, we will see. Thanks for all the enjoyable content (including the occasional crochet piece).

Good one guys! Love the Dustland sweater, hat and crochet blanket and washcloths, Ray. And Kevin, your Twists and Turns is so spectacular in those colors. Also am impressed with your sweater progress. Very nice! Take a look at the Dustland cardigan again, you can make it much shorter and there are regular length samples. So glad you are still breaking the bank and making glorious purchases. And lastly, oh joy for the little F bomb that slipped it's way into this episode. Thanks!

    Hi guys!!!!!
Definitely OG here, I remember Kevin's first shy podcast!! 😊
It's the 2nd outstandingly sunny day here in central California in a couple months after all the rain (or snow in the Sierra Nevadas..... some places over 50, almost 60 FEET!!)
Love the dustland! I always do sleeves first because I'm afraid of running out & one sleeve ends up shorter.....I would call the stitch pattern a Gansey style.
    I love the mysterious sea!!!
So happy I got it!! The video doesn't do it justice.
I convinced myself to get Les Garcons "stash enhancer"...O M G!!! I'm in love...
I put a note that I loved moody colors & it was like they knew me!!!!! ❣️❣️
    Have an amazing fortnight!!

Ray, my first Tunisian crochet was a baby blanket, it was so nice and thick and spongy feeling. There are lots of patterns on UA-cam. Kevin congrats on starting a new chapter in your life, quitting your job to go full time dyer is exciting.
