    Good morning Tim,
Thanks again for making these videos. Your first video on the first version was the reason I bought my stump grinder. I went with the woodland Mills Version. I've only gotten to use it once so far but was super impressed. Its reassuring to see someone use it on a similar tractor (I have a yanmar 424). I was alittle worried about the size of the machine. Again thanks for the great tips and advice. Keep up the great work.

When I first started watching the video I was like there’s no way that grind is going to do a good job on that small tractor but I got to say I was very surprised. Looks like it worked really well. I rented a 35hp Vermeer grinder a few years ago. One of the ones you stand next to. But man that thing was a handful to control if you cut down too much she would dig in and pull the whole machine forward. Love the old John Deere at the end nothing like the sound of a Johnny popper.

We've got a Shaver MV50 for the 5320, which I had at my house for a couple weeks a year and a half ago. Traded my neighbor him using his bucket truck to take down my pine tree (can't drop it any direction in one piece) for taking out 6 Ash stumps in his yard. They were all 2-3.5ft diameter. Even with that setup, it took a whole day to grind them all up. The dead Ash was suuuuuper hard! So much repositioning on those big ones!

Nice work with that new grinder, Ya'll. If ya had to use that thing on a daily basis, ya would end up shaking the tractor apart with all that "bouning"! I sure could've used something like that with my 1025R "Johnny"🚜, but I was able to dig out several tree stumps with the H120 backhoe.
Thankyou Mr. Tim . . . . .as you to were also an inspiration in purchasing my FILB 1025R back in summer of 2017. My tractor has been a Godsend for sure. No matter what i do with my lil Johnny, i call it "TRACTOR THEROPY"!
We did a full pyhsical restoration on our J.D.720 a few years ago & got it complete about a year before my dad was diagnosed with gleoblastoma brain cancer. He did get the opportunity to drive the tractor up & down the road to his cousin's house for visits, who was also in bad health. Both these fine, oustanding, men passed away & went home to be with the Good Lord in 2017. . . . .My dad in January & his cousin Chet in March. These 2 men were more like very close brothers during their lifetime with each other than they were cousins.
Thankya'll again for this video. i really enjoyed it. Great job in the stumps. Take care.

if you ever turn wood on a lathe you'd find that hardwood is much easier to shave than softwood. Softwood just comes out in noisy chunks; hardwood peels off. Try turning a piece of pine on a lathe........nightmare! You could also try carving maple vs. pine and see which one works better. The pine just chips apart because of the softness and big airy grain structure. My 2 cents. cheers.

For the price they work pretty good. Price out even a small commercial unit and they are way up there! I bought the woodland mills version, looks to be very comparable to this unit. Works awesome of softer trees like pine. I've done harder trees, and even a few black locust's. Those take a while. I'd recommend having a hydrostatic tractor for this to get the best use of it.

Thanks again for a great video. Interesting to see you use the same cutting techniques as machinest use on metal...they avoid "climb cutting" unless it is for a very fine cut to produce a finish...and their mounting is much more fixed. The slip clutch looks like the same kindve had on our mowing machine...adjust it now and then and no troubles. Replaced the clutches now and then...no problem.
The Bible verse was absolutely perfect. These seem to be those kinds of times...ecclesiastical...time to for all seasons...when we figure out what season this one is, we can move forward in faith.

Would definitely like to see a 3P24 on the 2038R and an explanation of why it works on that tractor but not on the 1025R - I think I get it but that sounds like a big deal in deciding between the 2 as I'm trying to do. I like the idea of being able to swing the grinder side to side & wasn't aware that was an option except on something like Vinny. Will keep an eye out for that video hopefully.

Hey guys. I’m sure you must have considered this; but what about installing inexpensive cameras (front and back) and a screen by your seat. I have a terrible back with two major surgeries under my belt now, and I can only twist and look behind me with with difficulty and limited movement. I realize that you have to with some implements as part of it, i.e. this stump grinder ( which I’m probably going to buy thanks to our tornadoes this year. Yep. Tornadoes on Cape Cod, MA! LOT of stumps left.) Pretty sure that’s what I’m going to do to help out. Anyway, thanks for your videos; they have been a true joy. God bless.

Aw man...and after I bought a non-quick hitch compatable one last year for my 1025. Actually, the first thing I did was make a easy rolling cart for the Stump Blaster out of a 2x4, plywood and 4 heavy duty casters. Makes hookup almost as easy as a quick hitch. Gotta go...more stumps to grind!

Please let me lend some advice. That Stihl powersweep works great for alot of things. Used like this, is not one of them. A pitchfork would've won the match. For cleanup and sweeping it back up of the turf, it's fine. For removing gravel out of grass, like from plowing, there's nothing better for cleaning ditches and stuff. Now, for the advice. Loosen the attachment end up and rotate it 180 degrees so it runs backward. Now you are pulling it. When you pull it, you're now able to stand up straight, you're not wearing yourself out pushing and lifting it, and it pulls with essential the resistance of a leaf rake. You only need to run these about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle (on the gas models). These things are worth their weight in good when used like this. 😉

I’m going to get a stump grinder for my 4052R. I have a lot of stumps to grind and am concerned about not only visibility from the cab, but also having to turn around all the time. I was hoping you would test out a camera with monitor to see how that would work. Enjoyed the video and of course the Johnny Popper at the end....gotta love that. Blessings to you folks!

We will test a camera system with it as soon as we can. We have the cameras.

Pine is stringy and likes to lay over when grinding, the first pass will fray it then it is tough to cut especially if the teeth have any wear on them. The hadwoods chip nice and go faster and easier. Does the shroud on the wheel lift up or shift from side to side. I ask because the mud can really pack in those areas and be like concreat to get out.

I have a woodland mills WG24 stump grinder on a 2032r which is the same pull behind with no extra hydraulics needed. Love the thing. Over the course of a weekend we easily went through over 200 Pine stumps

Hey Justin, do you find the woodland mills WG24 hard on the tractor itself? I have a small BX series Kubota and have been thinking about picking up this grinder. Several spruce stumps and ash to grind. Just curious if all the bouncing and rattling takes it toll?
      Thanks

Remember, the WG24 is made in China. The Baumalight is made in North America. The Baumalight is less expensive when purchased via shopgreendealer.com, and comes with 6 replacement teeth included!
Yes, these little grinders shake the tractor. Not sure that any long term damage results. Lots of folks are using them nearly full time for this.
